It's not a bad place if you're in the area, not a great place either. The restaurant was nice and clean. The service was okay. You ordered, paid, and picked up from a counter in the back. Wait time on the food was good for what we ordered, and portion to price was also good. Some of the food we received was not that good. The general Tso's chicken consisted of sauce covered overcooked dry chicken. I also asked the cook to make it spicy, really spicy, and it had no heat. The fried rice was lacking some flavor as well. The egg rolls were on point, though! My culinary companion enjoyed their garlic shrimp, so maybe some of the other menu items are much better. I have to say, for some reason, they put all our food in to go bags and containers, even though we were eating in. Like I said, not bad, not good, just okay. I will definitely go back for some egg rolls and try another menu item out. If your in the area give them a try and see what you think.

Pretty standard american chinese food I would definitely come back if I were in the area. The staff was so awesome and they even gave us a punch card! No too far off i-81 so if you were staying at one of the hotels it is easy to pick up from it.

I got the combo 3 with Lo Mein, General Tsos chicken, Teriyaki chicken, Bourbon BBQ Chicken, and an egg roll. For my drink I got a Pineapple Lychee yogurt Bubble Tea with Boba pearls and Lychee jelly

1/22/2024 11:20am One complaint… I’m just visiting in town and the last few times I’ve visited I’ve always wanted to come by here since they are at 4 stars plus. If you want half & half on the rice and noodles you get hit with a $1.00 fee for noodles. Ok, so I’ve been all over the United States continent and have never come across this phenomenon. Other than that the food was fresh and service was decent. The interior was spotless and there was plenty of space for people to sit down and eat. I’m not petty enough to knock this place down on stars over the noodle fee but it was an annoying surprise. If I give a place less than 5 stars you can bet it’s for a good reason. Go to the Chipotle down the street and you’ll see what less than 5 stars is. By the way… the plate I had was absolutely delicious.

My Dinner and tomorrow's lunch, 24$ and worth every penny.... you guys are awesome, keep up the good work. Probably the heaviest plate and "small" bowl of Generals chicken/spare ribs Ever...Mmmm!!!!

Can't really complain. We went cause we saw they had buffet. They no longer do but the chicken lo mein was yummy.

This place is great! I’m picky and I found the food to be fresh, flavorful, and good portion sizes. We got Szechuan tofu, Hunan shrimp, vegetable lo mein, and an egg roll and everything was wonderful. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. The entrees also came with a nice variety of vegetables instead of just broccoli like you get most places. We’ll definitely be back.

Our family loves New China! Food is always good, especially their orange chicken! They always attend to the special notes and asks that we have.

This was our first time going here. We WILL definitely return!! The food was fresh, service fast, and DELICIOUS!! We ordered the sesame chicken combo and shrimp egg foo young. OMG! Nice portions, food was hot, and ready when we picked it up. The location was a little dark, but we felt safe in the area. You can dine in as well. We recommend this spot for sure!!!

Unassuming takeaway that is my go to whenever I’m in Staunton. Their Mongolian beef is the best!.

Had way better Chinese food other places. Also we ordered fried rice and they gave us just rice that was brown from soy sauce. We went here because we were desperate as there is limit choices in Crozet.

Super friendly and delicious food. Highly recommend eating there! Loved the sushi!!

Got a delicious lunch here, sesame beef. The server was friendly. Plenty of parking and easy accessibility. They had limited seating, unfortunately one whole wall was filled with cardboard boxes. Not a good look, could be used for more tables chairs.

Good pork wontons/soup, perfectly cooked pork rib, great beef spring rolls and spring rolls, consistent well cooked food throughout the meal, can be confident what you order will be good. The other two places close by are not as good but are close

Nice employees but that was the only perk other than the nice chandelier. There was only 2 booths so limited seating. One booth was full of supplies. The food was really bad sadly. The orange chicken was hard, dried out frozen and heated chicken covered in sauce, and his broccoli was cold. He then got curry chicken. It had the light yellow color for curry but no flavor. Said it tasted like salted chicken. I had pineapple chicken. As I was trying to go a healthier option. It had decent slices of chicken. But heavily soaked in a thick heavy sauce. I was scooping the sauce off to a separate bowl as it was just way over-soaked. Everything is also served on paper plates and paper cups for the hot tea, and plastic cutlery. The sauce for the steamed dumplings was actually the only thing I really enjoyed even though dumplings were not made fresh.

Amazing Food & Outstanding Service! We placed a rather large order from Eastern Chinese Restaurant during peak hours on a busy Saturday night. While the delivery took a little longer than expected (which is completely understandable given the timing), the experience was still top-notch. The delivery driver was incredibly kind, professional, and sincerely apologetic for the delay, which was greatly appreciated. But the real star of the night? The food! It arrived piping hot, as if it had just come straight from the kitchen, and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beyond delicious. The quality and taste far exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for fantastic Chinese food in Winchester, this place is an absolute must-try! We’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!

We ordered from China wok for delivery. A couple hours later, they canceled our order without calling us or communicating with us in anyway. I’m not sure if it was because I set the order for pick up at the end of the lunch hour and ordered from the lunch menu? But I was not able to order from the dinner menu online. They did not give me a chance to replace my order with anything, they simply canceled eight lunch menu orders that we needed and were counting on.

Absolute best Chinese food in Winchester. I’m a Chinese food addict and try every Chinese place I can wherever I go. This is definitely one of the best I’ve had. Fried rice is on point and the triple delight is super filling. I’d recommend doing the combination platter.

Was visiting Shenandoah University and looking for local place to eat. Ordered street noodles which was told to me to be the same as Thai Drunken noodles. It was busy during a lunch hour, seated immediately. Service was OK for a busy time. I'm pretty particular about my Thai food and this was pretty good but a bit bland. I'll rate it high b/c it's not DC. I'm from CA and somehow the Thai food in NoVA is a very high standard but it is so hard to find good Chinese food, not sure why.

The food was delicious! Great ambiance, nice bar, and plenty of parking. We will definitely come back! Also, tell Ming that Kelly sent ya! He's the nicest restaurant owner I've met!

I ordered last night and asked for a combo dinner which I didn’t get. I just got white rice. So once discovered when home, no fried rice or eggroll or spicy anything in the dish. I called the store and the woman claims she told me ( over the phone in broken English) “ I tell you no combo”. Bs. And she should have clarified when I asked her why my dinner was so expensive. So after cleaning up the leaking mess of a box of Chinese food I attempted to make the best of it. Only to wake up with food poisoning. I’ll be contacting the health department tomorrow. I would stay away in general but at least don’t eat anything with beef ( or you hope beef) in it.

Woman who took our order over the phone was rude af, delivery guy demanded a tip, saying we forgot to give them one, when he had tipped $8 for how quick he got here, and found a maggot in my beef & broccoli after spending over $40 on my order. Never ordering from there again and I hope you guys see this and don't order here either.

their lo mein is the best around, unless you like it sweet like candy (Ginza steak house lo mein is like that). sweet and sour chicken is great with all meat. chicken mushroom is good. I'm not a fan of their mei fun or fried rice. take out portions always large (see photo of containers always filled to the top). update: the hunan chicken is also terrific. see in photos how the container is bursting the lid and how high quality and fresh those vegetables are.

Visited for the first time. The food was very good. My husband got the hit and sour soup which was flavorful. He asked for it to be a bit spicier and got what he asked for. LOL! His chicken and black bean was very good. the veggies were crispy and cooked perfectly. I had egg foo young. the gravy was the best i had ever had- not too thick and very tasty. It was cooked a little more than I personally liked, but it was still very fluffy and light. We also tried chicken mei fun. the noodles were firm but not mushy and not oily, which we like. The General Tso was good but a bit on the sweet side for me. The chicken was battered in a way similar to sweet and sour chicken and the sauce was more sweet than spicy. Our son had asked for a little spicy and it wasn’t even that. The broc that came with it was excellent. Still crunchy and not soggy. Love that. Finally, the fortune cookies were very good. I know they don’t make them but wherever they get them the cookie is a tad sweet, great crunch and table fortunes inside. We will definitely be back!
