Panda Cafe
I would say this place is pretty good. Not amazing, but great in all aspects. I ordered a take-out, for the first time trying this place. I got the chicken with broccoli and some shrimp fried rice. Both large, the total came out to $26. The Shrimp Fried Rice was pretty good - not amazing. It seemed like it was a bit under-cooked, or maybe left out too long (?) because the rice had a crunchy texture to it, in the middle. The Chicken with Broccoli was great. It has a very strong pronounced front flavor, similar to that which you get when you add A1 or Teriyaki sauce to something. You can tell there's an extreme frontal flavor, not a blended smooth flavor. The meat was nice and tender, and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Not too mushy and not stiff. It was great, and I'd give it a 8/10. There was a nice even balance of meat to vegetables. There were no condiments in the bag, or plastic-ware. The staff were very helpful, happy, and polite. All things considered, I still prefer my go-to spot at China Star, but since they are closed on Mondays, I will keep this place in mind for future visits, because the food was decent and the people were kind.
This is, by far, the best Chinese food I've ever had. And I am a big guy who obviously eats way too much and loves to order takeout. Especially Chinese food and sushi. This is my third/4th order, and each time, I have not been disappointed. These pan dumplings are HANDMADE!! ( I already ate one in the picture.) Eggroll are crispy and REAL. not like some places you see. Bourbon chicken...to die for!! Everything tastes so fresh, so real, and mouth watering. Let's put it this way... if you order from here... everyone else's Chinese food will taste bland and gross.
Panda Express
The restaurant doesn't have enough seating. The line to get food moved quickly, but I waited to pay. The food was freshly made and delicious.
My hubby brought me a plate with half white rice/ half vegetables, orange and sweet fire chicken. The chicken was great except for the last piece, which was very old, and couldn't be chewed. The vegetables were awful. I wanted just 4 or 5 pieces of broccoli. The lady serving him refused the request. Instead, I got a side with lots of cabbage, a little broccoli, and some leafy greens. The broccoli was mostly old, and so were the leafy greens. They were mostly olive in color instead of bright green when fresh, and the whole vegetable side was overly salty. If people don't want the vegetables, they should be discarded and not sit there to get old looking and tasting. This should also be balanced and not mostly cabbage. And she put so much on the plate that half was under my chicken, which ended up being a smaller than normal portion size. Finally, the servers need to be friendlier instead of rude. I am not sure I want to go back to this restaurant. I never have issues like that at the Woodbridge location.
Hunan Village
I went to take to go and the lady at the front was very polite. The food came out in 10 minutes, like she said it would. When I came home to eat the food, it was very tasty and you could feel the freshness of the vegetables. The shrimp fried rice was cooked well and clean. Overall, the food was good and it was worth the money. Plus, the restaurant is certified halal so anyone who is Muslim can eat good over here. They also serve specials during lunchtime throughout the week. Would recommend to anyone who wants authentic Chinese food from a clean restaurant.
I don’t usually write reviews but I went based off the reviews but boy was I disappointed. I ordered the beef and broccoli which had a lot of sauce but no flavor. The beef was bland and slimy. What really took the cake was the chicken low mein. For some reason it had an ammonia smell to it. Didn’t bother trying it and threw the whole thing out. Mind you I’m not a picky eater I’m just giving my objective review.
Szechuan Gourmet Restaurant
I asked for soft vegetables in my Shrimp chow mein and it was done and delicious. Portions were great. My new restaurant. Thank you
The couple that runs this shop are so sweet. The food is great, if you're actually eating it warm! Always amazing portions, amazing service, and friendly smiles. if you like *actual* asian pork, try it! If you like American pork, you will likely not. People that give this place 1 star reviews for appetizers are clearly reviewing the wrong aspects. Never been disappointed, even better if you pick the food up yourself and it's fresh
Jin Express
The service was prompt, easy and the kitchen is pretty awesome. Is it to weird to say it seems they love what they do? Lol. I only got these two appetizers.. dumplings were good, but wasn’t a fan of the wings at all. All in all, willing to give the place another try. Will be back to try their main entrees and steamed fried dumplings. 😋 thanks!!
Really great place to get Chinese food in Dahlgren, actually the best place. Food was amazing and the service was fast. Would definitely recommend this place to have lunch and dinner. Can see why this place is so popular. Very friendly staff and very helpful.
Benny's
Wonderful Asian food! Always tastes very fresh. The egg rolls are amazing! We get takeout here about once a week. It's a small restaurant.
My husband ordered General Tso Chicken, Bourbon Chicken, Wonton Soup. The Bourbon chicken was burnt to a crisp. Couldn't eat it from being so burnt. The General Tso was dry. Hardly any sauce. The fried rice was awful. No flavor. The soup I'll give a 3 out of 10. This is the worst meal I've ever had.
China Garden Restaurant
Reminds us of all the great Chinese Food Restaurants in New England, where we're from. The General Tso, Orange Beef, Teriyaki (Beef and Chicken), Egg Foo Young, Moo Shu Beef and their Fried Rice are all so good!! We have been looking for a good Chinese Food Restaurants for the past 2 years and we are so mad that we never tried this place before! The owner is a very nice and friendly guy and was so sweet to our little ones. We will be loyal customers for as long as we live in this area! Thank you.
Really prompt and tasty Chinese food in the KG area. Prompt delivery also. The best part is once they know your delivery requests, they fullfil it every time. (My kiddos love the fortune cookies so they always pack lots in the delivery, without me asking. They also know we don't use mustard sauce but use quite a bit of duck sauce. Ever since that 1st request, our order has included plenty of duck sauce, soy sauce, and no mustard sauce) They're attention to detail is awesome and very appreciated!
Cheng's Asian House
There's a lot of higher end Chinese restaurants now in NOVA, like Peter Chang's and Mama Chang's, but sometimes you just want the normal American Chinese food, well this is the spot. Looks like the husband and wife run the restaurant and their hospitality is top of the line, it feels like your walking into a family dinner. The service was great and laid back. I did not feel rushed at all. The food was great and came out correctly. Not greasy, not too sweet, and fresh ingredients. Thank You Cheng's we will be back again.
Great authentic Chinese dishes. Braised pork shank was amazingly tender with crispy skin and delicious sauce. The skin was delicious on top of a piece of the scallion pancake. Fried eggplant appetizer was delicious as well.
Young Chow Cafe Centreville
The meals here are always fantastic, and you can either enjoy them as they are or customize them to your taste! What truly sets this place apart, though, is the owner. She's wonderful, friendly, and incredibly dedicated. She always remembers my family’s name whenever we place an order. If you're in the mood for great Chinese takeout, this spot is definitely worth checking out!
Food was great. All the ingredients were surprisingly fresh and the flavor was good. not as oily as most Chinese places. You might expect a slightly longer wait if you order it there. It's because they make a lot of their food fresh. Service from the owner was also amazing. This place is a bit far from where I live but It's definitely worth coming back.
Feng's Garden
We stopped by here recently while traveling through town. Being vegetarians, we ordered the vegetable chow mei fun (thin rice noodles), the Szechuan-style bean curd, vegetable fried rice, and steamed white rice. The entrees were quickly made to order and came out piping hot. All were delicious! The vegetable chow mei fun was the right combination of salty and flavorful, while the Szechuan bean curd was best served over the rice. Note: the 5-star rating here is based solely on the quality of the food one might expect from a strip mall Chinese takeout restaurant. The decor of the restaurant itself is utilitarian and fairly typical. But if you're taking the food to go, as most will, then it's of no matter. :)
A decent place, good food, and service without so much delay. I definitely love how they do General Tso's chiken
Hunan Diner
Great place and the food is awesome and the owner I'd definitely a character I definitely recommend this restaurant and on tuse he makes fresh sushi
Always a great meal with a warm a friendly atmosphere. Fun for homies and visitors alike. If you haven't been in awhile now is the time to go back.
Hunan Cafe
When you order the simple things on the menu, and they are incredibly delicious, I just have to say, I'm going back soon...
Service is okay. Atmosphere is okay. Food is not tasty. There are many other asian spots to order from I recommend trying one of those.
