Sloppy Mo's
My kids and I came to Lost Nation Brewery to get some burgers for late lunch after skiing. We were given the Sloppy MO’s menu and were a bit surprised to see Chinese food options in a brewery. (We are Chinese and we are “a little picky” with Chinese food. My kids grew up spoiled by my wife’s homemade Chinese food.) We ordered wide noodles with lamb not knowing what we were getting ourselves into. When the food finally came out, we were fully blown away by the authentic taste and spice of the dish. It beats every noodle dish we had in Boston! Chef Mike (a white dude! :-)) later told us the noodle is homemade. And the lamb was extremely tasty too. We later added dry cumin chicken wings. The boys loved them as much as the noodles. By the way, Rustic Ale was also very good. We are so happy we bumped into this little pop-up kitchen at the brewery and we would highly recommend wide noodles with lamb if you appreciate spicy food.
Idk never been love the name
Asian Gourmet
Honestly, I would give a ZERO star if I could. I have been here in the past and it was good, but not today. Restaurant was somewhat clean and was given drinks almost immediately. Unfortunately, I was served my Pepsi with a side of spider. Although I did not get to experience the food, I’m glad I didn’t. 0 out of 5
Placed my order at 8:00 on the dot, had it in hand at 8:10 I've had Chinese food all over the country, and The rangoons that I got here were among the best. The Hunan beef could have been a little spicier, but the flavor was good. Overall, highly recommend
A Single Pebble
Amazing food, great friendly service! We stop here every time we’re in Burlington for the mock eel! I’m super happy that they added the tasting menus; I was worried going there with just two people that we wouldn’t be able to try a lot of things, but the tasting menus (a meat menu and a vegetarian menu) let us try everything while we were there for our anniversary. Love the atmosphere, and the food and drinks were delicious!
We absolutely love A Single Pebble! The service is always incredible and so is the food! Reservations a must! I love all of the delicious vegan options! Everything is family style with large portions. My favorites are the salt and pepper tofu, the scallion pancakes, the vegan Buddha beef. You can't go wrong with anything you order here!
Mandarin
We just walked to an amazing dinner, along with amazing service. We even got to meet (the owner and) creator of the scrumptious duck sauce they make. We couldn't decide on a specific meal, as there were so many good things from which to choose. We decided to get appetizers (creating our own "tapas" style dinner!). What a terrific choice that was. From the egg rolls to the roast pork soup to the fried rice...everything was so good. (The boneless spareribs were good, just would have preferred them a little more tender. Taste was flavorful.) Forgive the photos, as a couple of the dishes looked so good that we ate some before getting a photo! (Guessing from past reviews about "lack of flavor" - maybe they were used to cheap, fast Asian food. 🤷🏼♀️)
A very beautiful restaurant with a calming aesthetic. The Staff was friendly and polite. I loved Joyce’s Noodle House when it was open and was told this is comparable. It was! My favorite beef lo mein did not disappoint. And the Gummi Bear cocktail was delicious and so fun. Definitely will return for more!
Jin Chinese Restaurant
Easy access caught my eye as I tried Jin's for the 1st time. Impressive presentation as we were served by the new Japanese ownership themselves. The friendly and smart family knew exactly what I was looking for, and then, almost like magic, out from the kitchen came our tasty lunch. I wanted to try the oriental ginger sauce on my chicken, but my friend couldn't eat sauces. We were sharing. 😢
The food is consistently good but upon getting my order delivered half of it was not there. The clerk on the phone was only able to offer me a partial refund and said it was impossible to send the rest of our order. I believe they outsource their deliveries via door dash which only adversely effects the consumer and leads to situations like this which should be otherwise easy to resolve.
Bamboo Gardens
Very nice.. small family owned restaurant. Food was fantastic and the service impeccable... doesn't look like much from the outside but well worth getting something to eat.
Spent 90 dollars drove a hr home and they forgot my 3 lg orders of pork fried rice!
China Garden
If you haven't had the fried dumplings yet -- clear your schedule. For me chinese places are all about the starters. The dumplings, wonton soup and crab rangoons are easily the best in the area outside a couple choice places in Burlington. Where this spot always wins for me is affordability. You basically get twice what you pay for in the long run, and dishes like the general tso's chicken last me about a week in yummy leftovers
The food was really good and it's constantly good. I tend to get the dinner combinations most often, varies on what I want that day. It's takeout only, and pickup outside.
Oriental Wok
My family and I have been coming here for over a decade and we love Oriental Wok’s food. Whenever I leave Vermont I miss their takeout. Everything I’ve tried on their menu is delicious and the owners are awesome. I’d highly recommend supporting them and their business.
Usually pretty good. Tonight we got the Kung Pao 3 Delights. It’s supposed to have shrimp, beef, and pork. It did, but was mostly celery. If I wanted celery as a main course I would’ve just eaten celery.
Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant
Good takeout spot! They have an all day combo meal special (entree with pork fried rice or plain rice) for about $10 each. We had the beef with broccoli and the General Tso Chicken.
This shop is the definition of don’t judge a book by its cover. The food was very good and quick to complete my order. I would go back there again if I was in the area. The outside of the building is not cute and may push you away but you should stop by and check it out. Orange chicken with beef fried rice was worth every penny
China Star
Quick, tasty, standard Chinese food with lots of options. Takeout mostly, but some simple tables inside. Kinda grungy, but what else do you expect?
It was Christmas night and very few places were opened. This is a simple place mostly with carry-outs and a few tables to eat inside. The two soups we ordered were weak, but the pork dish with thin pancakes was very good. Hot tea is free and our whole bill was below $20.
Hong's Chinese Dumplings
I love Hong's Dumplings so much. She is open in January 2025 from 11am-7pm on Saturdays. I hope she continues to have hours throughout the year. I love the thick, chewy dough and delicious filling. The fried rice, cold sesame noodles, and scallion pancakes are delish too. I hope this recent review helps her get some good winter business!
This spot has earned its many awards for a good reason—it’s an absolute gem for authentic, delicious dumplings. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite, and the handmade dumpling shells are a textural delight, unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. If you’re on the hunt for truly outstanding dumplings, look no further. While the menu is small, it’s thoughtfully curated, and you genuinely can’t go wrong with any choice—every flavor shines in its own way. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, adding to the charm of this cozy, hole-in-the-wall spot. For those who value authenticity and flavor, this is a must-try.
China Town
I ordered take out in the afternoon, got my food fairly quickly. The food could have used a little bit more flavor, but I got 10 rangoons for 7 bucks so I'm not really complaining too much. The beef dish that I ordered was labeled spicy, but absolutely was not. Still not bad, but I would have liked a little kick
The food is really good. I go there all the time. Out of all the chinese restaurants that I have visited in Vermont , this is the only one that makes the dish that I like the most.
