Dragon Restaurant
As a frequent traveler I search for locally owned restaurants and this was a good find. The service was fast and friendly and the food was good. The sesame chicken was cooked well and with a nice sauce and the ham fried rice was surprisingly good, tastes much better than it looks. The egg roll was somehow crispy yet still greasy wit decent flavor.
I had never been here before but had passed by many times. We stopped in on a whim. I am glad we did. It's a little bit old, a little bit worn but, not in a bad way. Like your grandmother's kitchen with wear from use and being wiped down so many times over the years. I felt super comfortable and at ease there. I'll definitely go back.
Zhang's Chinese Kitchen
Me and family came try out this place. The service from our waiter was fast and attentive. we order three different dishes. The food came fast. as you can see in the pictures the food don't look bad. The wife mention that her shrimp had to much sauce. I would rate this please between 6-7 only reason is the table was sticky and it was hot inside.
The food was great. They have great lunch specials. Their crab cheese wontons are amazing. I recommend the orange chicken. The service was fast and friendly.
Kitty’s Family Dumpling
I haven't really tried dumplings before other than at the buffets until today. They were great. I ordered the Steamed BBQ Pork Bao, the Steamed Shao Mai, an the Xiao Long Bao. They were so good. The BBQ Pork Bao when I first opened it up I thought it was a little lite on the meat filling but when I took a bite it was well balanced and great. The Xiao Long Bao was very good flavors and texture. the Shao Mai was very good and a very generous serving size. I will definitely put this restaurant into my rotation. I look forward to trying the other menu items as well as ordering these again.
Kitty’s food is great! I’m Chinese, and after having almost all the items on the menu, I can tell the food is authentic, real Chinese food! The food is delicious and perfect portion with very reasonable price (consider they’re handmade). My man cub loves Kitty’s food!!! Highly recommend! And Kitty is an awesome person! Update: Got Shredded potato comb, the best must try, if you like spicy food!!! And hot sour soup, sooo gooood!
Kitty's Family Dumplings
Kitty's Family Dumplings is a little place in the food court at Ocean Mart. We ordered a variety of items including the pork dumplings which they said was the best, red bean buns, and a bacon and egg wrap. The dumplings were smaller than expected and were nothing special for being hand made. The red bean steamed bun was expensive and not flavorful. The bacon egg wrap with spicy sauce was the best thing we had there and was better than expected. Overall a disappointment but would eat the wrap again.
Food is really great! Their combo bowls are delicious, and they also sell red bean buns individually. Be sure to try out their lychee juice. The restaurant is inside the Ocean Mart, so just go look for it in the food court when you walk through the doors.
Oriental Garden Asian Restaurants by Payson Walmart
Being gluten intolerant, I am always a little nervous about eating at a new restaurant, but I took my chances on Oriental Garden after reading the other positive reviews from people like me. When I arrived, I asked what menu items could be made gluten free, and I was given a menu marked with an extensive list of menu items that could be made gluten free. I had cashew chicken, which was excellent, and I felt great afterward. Additionally, the service was attentive, the restaurant was cute and clean, and the atmosphere was attractive and peaceful. We were there for lunch, and the lunch menu was very affordable as well. I will definitely eat there again! 5 stars! Highly recommend!
My favorite Chinese place in Payson or Salem. It could use a remodel but the food is pretty good.
Yu’s Maple Garden
Amazing food and service was excellent the atmosphere was amazing very friendly and super speedy service will be coming back when in town and is super cheap but excellent quality lunch special is amazing
First time here, and the experience was wonderful. It's doesn't look much from the outside, but once you step in, it feels magical ✨️ the atmosphere was quite a comforting part while sipping on soup. The waitress was most attentive and nice. The food was deliciously amazing.
Royal Dragon Restaurant
Best egg drop soup I’ve ever had. First time dropping by today my friend and I really enjoyed the food. Portions were pretty large I’ve noticed…I watch Gordon Ramsey shows and if you have big portions for customers you lose money in the business. The service was great and felt family owned not sure but the waitress was very kind just had a warm feeling of welcoming. I would do little less on portions because no business should have to do to go boxes. That means the customer is already full and there was leftover so you’re losing money. I want this business to stay around and be a regular Customer. We got the Mongolian beef and the kung pao chicken very good and will be back!
We came in with a large group without advanced notice. We were seated quickly, and everyone received their food faster than we expected. The food was really flavorful. The lunch special is a really good value. Portion sizes are large, and I was able to get two meals out of my one lunch special.
Rice King Express
3/31/25 @ 3:30pm Another amazing meal from Rice King Express!! We love your warm greeting, friendly smiles, and of course delish food! Thank you!!
Im from California so i usually don't like Chinese food from other states But this food was really delicious! The rice orange chicken and egg roll were soft and full of flavor . This is definitely going to be my to go spot when I come to Utah. Thank you !
Eastern Winds Restaurant
UNDISCOVERED GEM! This place is by far the best place for an authentic Mandarin & Cantonese experience! I've been coming here sporadically for years and it's blown me away every time. The lunch specials are freaking stellar and if you stop by for dinner you won't be disappointed! They were closed for a little bit but when they reopened the entire store had a facelift and the outside of the building got a new lick of paint. Inexpensive and made FRESH to order!
I've been to hundreds of Chinese food restaurants across the US and I've never had gross Chinese food until now. I paid $13.99 for this meal plus tax and the proportions are good, but that doesn't matter when the food is inedible. The fried rice was only okay which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1, but the orange chicken and soup smelled revolting and the taste was bad enough that I could only eat a few pieces. I ended up throwing away 99% of the meal. I then went to a place I knew had decent food. I paid 7.75 plus tax for the other meal. I'm not sure if it was just this one time considering other reviews are good, but it's not something I want to risk wasting money on again.
Wing Wah Restaurant
First time here, last time too. The meal started out well, the soup looked different than any I’d had before and it was great! Once they brought the chicken egg foo yung out I was surprised and also somewhat disgusted. The egg foo yung portion was actually pretty good, the chicken was just laid out on top of the patty, then it was all covered in the gelatinous sauce, I’m surprised any restaurant would proudly serve anything that looked like this, it was difficult to get past the looks of this dish. The spring roll was decent as was the rice, but again the entree was flabbergasting. I now know why I was the only dinner at 12:15 during what should have been a busy lunch hour.
Hit and a miss, big. I ordered the mongolian beef... It came to me cold. Literally as if it sat outside for a few minutes. The side dishes were all hot but the main was not. The egg drop soup was just chicken noodle soup... This didn't make sense to me. The egg roll was the standard egg roll found in frozen packs of 48 for 12$ at the asian supermarket. Service was decent but understaffed which was likely why I got my food cold. It's unlikely I'll be back.
Maple Express
I have mixed feelings about this place. Some of the food was good, like the szechuan chicken, and I would rate it 4 stars, but with other things I had, like black pepper chicken I would barely rate it 3 stars. The service was good and everyone was very friendly. It was very clean and I liked the decor. Hopefully it was just an off day for the cook, because I usually take my Chinese food home and eat it the next day but I just threw it out because I knew I wouldn't want it again.
Good, fast Chinese food. Big portions for reasonable prices. My coworkers and I will get lunch here once or twice a month. They have all 5 meals ready to go in about 5 minutes. It's one of the best Chinese places in town. The Szechuan chicken is my go-to.
Saigon Café
Came in tonight for the first time, it was some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in Utah, it was amazing. I would recommend their chicken lo mein, and orange chicken. Beef and broccoli was also super good! Our server was also super nice! Wish we would’ve tried sooner.
Lowkey Chinese restaurant with great prices and quick service. I had the orange chicken and it’s probably the best orange chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken is surprisingly crispy and the sauce has a hint of spice that’s perfectly balanced.
