Swavory
Hidden gem with health salads and food options. And if you need your sweet tooth filled you csn stock up on freah popcorn of many flavors or some freah salt water taffy. Well worth the trip and prices are great. The salad is enough for 2 meals. The owner was so friendly. Glad we stopped in. Love, the couple from Mentor
Great people, great popcorn. Random walk with the family turned into finding a treasure of a shop. Walked in and instantly greeted with great smells and decor. The people are super friendly and is willing to take time with you making sure you get what you want answering all questions. Only con my cheap butt has to say is the price of some things. Salads anymore anywhere are 10 bucks each... same here which is typical as any other place which is fine. This shop still has me at 10/10
The Old Bag of Nails Pub - Mansfield
Stopped in here for lunch today with the folks. It was a good experience, but I wasn't blown away by the food. I ordered their fish and chips and got the thin fries, as opposed to the steak fries. The fish was battered and fried nicely. It had a nice crunch and the fish itself was tender. It didn't have a lot of flavor though. The fries were solid, but again, not a ton of flavor. They were fried well. They had a great crisp to them. But they simply packed a punch of flavor, which is weird because they were seasoned. The coleslaw was delicious. I like a sweet slaw and theirs is definitely on the sweet side. Really enjoyed it. Wish I was given a larger portion. But I'm simply being greedy there. We received great service from the lady behind the bar. I found it odd she was waiting tables, but she was quick and efficient. She did a great job of seeing when I had an empty cup and had me filled up quickly. All in all, a positive experience. I might go back here depending. They have an advantage of being open on a Sunday. Most of the higher quality restaurants here in Mansfield aren't.
We were seated quickly upon arrival, and I appreciated the laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. The background music—mostly hits from the '90s—added a fun nostalgic vibe that really set the tone for a relaxed dining experience. To start, the spinach dip was delicious and definitely a standout. The shrimp chips were also excellent—crispy and fresh—and the cocktail sauce had just the right amount of kick to enhance the flavor of the entree. However, I was very disappointed with the Reuben sandwich. For a menu item priced at $18, I expected something much more thoughtfully prepared. Unfortunately, it was a mess. The sauerkraut was overwhelming, the corned beef came in uneven chunks rather than proper slices, and the Thousand Island dressing was barely there. I had requested jalapeños to be added, and instead of being incorporated into the sandwich, they were served raw and on the side. It felt more like an afterthought than a custom order. If a kitchen isn’t able to prepare a classic sandwich like a Reuben properly, it might be best to remove it from the menu rather than leave customers paying premium prices for something that falls short of even basic expectations. That said, the staff was friendly and attentive, and our server did a great job throughout the meal. There’s definitely potential here, especially with the strong starters and atmosphere, but the execution of key menu items needs serious attention.
CHINA TOWN
A CHINESE RESTAURANT FOR DRUNKS. People who like this place must be drunk!! Being in town for the Shawshank experience, my family was looking for a good Chinese restaurant to explore. Upon the arrival we were greeted by a rude waitress who acted like we were a unwanted guest. Upon being seated we noticed that the restaurant had a dingy feel to it. The waitress came over with a water pitcher, filling one glass, and then she told my wife to fill the rest of them. While ordering our food, the waitress active as if we could not move fast enough. Being in a new restaurant, we were very interested in seeing what was on the menu. The food was ordered and was a serious disappointment. The vegetables tasted as if they had came out of a freezer. My wife’s mushrooms tasted as if they were out of a cheap can. I was the only one who finished all of my food and that is because I am used to eating crummy food. My wife and kids only took a few bites of their dishes. We left the restaurant disappointed and we will not recommend that anyone visit. We love Chinese food and we are always looking for a great experience. If I could not give any stars I would. You can look at the rest of my reviews of restaurants and you will notice that we are a family that enjoys great food. Period after seeing all of the other reviews, that was the reason why we picked this restaurant, but this was a huge disappointment.
Dont know where to start. Everything was great. We had a large group for a birthday. Service was great and pretty quick, too. The food was great, and I don't think there was a complaint in our group. Kid friendly. We even brought a cake in. They kept it cold for us. They even added a sparkler when we asked for it. Would highly recommend for sure.
China Club
Despite a busy night, the host found space for us and seated us very quickly. The General Tso' Footprint was delicious and so was the Mongolian Beef. Our server was absolutely delightful. The decor was lovely and it wasn't too noisy.I will recommend this to anyone who asks
Wonderful food and cocktails, great service! Delightful atmosphere!
Asian Taste Restaurant
In a word, yes. Yes, the food is delicious. Yes, their prices are reasonable. Yes, my order was prepared in a quick and timely manner. Yes, I would recommend this to anyone looking for Chinese food in Mansfield. Yes, I will be back many many times. Edit: Came back for lunch again. This time I ordered chicken curry, sweet 'n sour chicken, and an egg roll. Mostly positive here, but probably not as good of an experience as the first time. The sweet 'n sour chicken was good. The sauce was tasty and not overly sweet. That's my biggest issue with some Asian restaurant's sweet 'n sour sauce. It can be as sweet as candy sometimes. The chicken itself wasn't the best. It was a little dry, and the breading was a little to chewy for my liking. Not bad, but not great either. The curry was tasty, but it tasted almost like a regular stir fry. There wasn't a lot distinguishing this as a legitimate Asian curry. Perfect heat level really dampened my disappointment though. The egg roll was the best thing today. It was perfect. It had great flavor and a serious crunch on the outside. Loved the egg roll. I'll definitely be back to try out more items.
The food was amazing, I highly recommend! We’ve been trying to find a place in Mansfield that does it right and this is it!! Everyone definitely give it a try, you won’t regret:)
Panda House
Great food , large portions, great service! Chicken with mixed vegetables, and shrimp with mixed vegetables. White rice and fried wontons.
The best in Mansfield! I love Panda house, food is hot, fresh, ready when they say it will be and delicious. Workers are always friendly and welcoming.
Dan Lew Exchange / DLX
The public was welcomed at DLX for a free Thanksgiving dinner today. The service was fantastic and they did great at making us feel comfortable and at home. The Thanksgiving meal that they provided was first class. The food was high quality and absolutely delicious! This was my first time here and I would love to come back and have dinner again to try their normal menu. The environment was beautiful and I enjoyed being in that space. They kept up with a busy afternoon and kept everything feeling clean. I loved it and am thankful for the hard work that these people put into making Thanksgiving special for everyone, for free of cost.
Our group of 4 ate here before attending the Mansfield Symphony. We couldn't get reservations but chanced it and went anyway. We were seated at the bar which was fine. Our server/bar tender was attentive and the food was good. We like the Minced Chicken appetizer. I enjoyed the Gang Bang Chicken. No complaints from any in our group. It's pricey, but we knew that going in.
Deja Food Eatery & Cebuano Bar
We have eaten here several times. Yesterday we came for the Saturday only CebuChon, Chicken Pansit, and Asian Fries. The CebuChon is definitely worth every cent! So very delicious! The chicken Pansit and fries were delicious as always. We prefer to skip the cheese on the fries and try different sauces for dipping them. Last night we had the Adobo and Sweet Chili sauces. Both were wonderful. Thrilled to have this restaurant option nearby and looking forward to trying new menu items as they are added.
Amazing food and service! I have been here twice and each time the food was absolutely delicious. I’ve had both the pork belly and the sisig w/chicken, and I highly recommend both. The owner is incredibly kind and she also cooks a lot of the food herself I believe. The atmosphere is also very chill and relaxing. Deja Food is my favorite restaurant in this area.
KV Market
Shawshank Redemption movie scenes were filmed here! Movie status market in bad part of town with very friendly cashier. The market is across the street from where my wife (dec) grew up, too! Very emotional visit
The store was nice but cash register was very unpleasant and unprofessional, she didn't hand the bag to me or ask if I needed my receipt and her customer service skills are horrible. Her name was Ashanti. Other than that, the store was nice and organized inside
Smokin Bros BBQ Voted # 1
I was craving some BBQ and decided to try a few things as it had been a long time since Ive had anything from Smokin bros. Picked up right before close and I wish I would have just made food at home.... The pork and cornbread was ok. The brisket was a literal pile up pulled fat in a cup. I'm no stranger to good brisket and this was very far from it. Also got some mac which was gritty and looks nothing like any photos posted. Spent $30 on dinner and now I'm stuck making food for the family. Not sure when this was #1 but it ain't anymore.
How old were those 2 large brisket chili's I bought yesterday using Door Dash? Was terrible. So freaking thick. Like paste. Yuck. $30 bucks for 2 large OLD chili's? I bought 2 thinking in a day or so I'd eat the rest. It would be spoiled by then. You passed off some 5-6 day old chili. It's so thick it won't even begin to spill. Beware. He's closed few days a week. You might get some old a$$ freaking food. Disappointed to say the least. Serve FRESH or don't serve at all. Nobody wants your week old food. I know I don't.
Golden Corral Buffet & Grill
Look, I want to help keep places like this open. The service has been great every time we go. The food is best at peak times but slow times you have the run of the place so pick your poison lol it's all great!
The salad bar looked trashed by toddlers. The food will definitely give you the Hershey squirts. The waitress we had was friendly, on top of getting our drinks and she cleared plates quickly. It was very dark and there was food all over the floors including in the highchair for my son. That's where my company wanted to go but I personally will not return voluntary. Good luck to those who are not trying to sit on the toilet for the next 12hrs.
Punjabi Oven
Punjabi Oven is incredible! They provided all of the meals for family this weekend, and catered the entire event on Sunday. The food was phenomenal! Thank you so much for everything! Endless options, whether it’s one plate or 150!
They were on vacation but the staff was very friendly. The frozen samosas were delicious. Also, I believe they filmed parts of the Shawshank Redemption here, so enjoy the murals of Morgan Freeman
