My partner and I drove 40 mins to try West African cuisine after seeing some videos on it and being curious. We were nervous at first, but the owner and associates were warm and welcoming. They let us sample the soups before ordering, and offered advice on the menu. The food was flavorful and the portions were great. Everyone was so nice, it definitely felt like a family environment. Elizabeth, the chef, made sure to check on us and ask about our experience. We are so happy that we decided to make the drive to try out a new cuisine! We definitely will be back to try some new dishes. If you’re considering Hunan Cafe, you should go for it! ❤️

We had the snails, fufu and okra soup, jollarice with plaintains and chicken. Superb! The most friendly and helpful wait staff who explained everything and made great recommendations since it was our first time. We WILL BE BACK❤️

Saw this restaurant driving down 1960 one day. Looked up reviews and they were great. Came for lunch with my boyfriend yesterday and they did not dissapoint. Small place, quiet and clean. Our server was so polite. Did not rush us and was so nice and soft spoken. Very welcoming. My boyfriend had the drunken noodles with shrimp. He loved them. They ask what spice level you would like (1-5). He picked 4🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and loved it. He said it was flavorful not just masked in spice. I had the chicken pad Thai and it was also wonderful! The food was fresh and cooked to order. We tried the crab rangoons and while they weren’t our favorite…they were fresh. The lunch special was a good portion and comes with a vegetable spring roll and miso soup or salad. All of it was delicious. We will be going again! Great spot for a quick lunch or dinner with friends.

Pretty good thai and sushi place for a typical hole in the wall place inside the sun club shopping center. This used to yummy, then better than yummy and now thai garlic. The appetizer sampler platter was good and thai tea was a bit light but still good. Overall not amazing food but well worth visit. Also they doing 10% off for their grand opening.

Buy 10 of sticky rice cake for TET and 3 of it did not cook well, the rice remained uncooked and just leave it for for 1-2 days and it moild the cake and they just keep saying because I leave it outside not in the refrigerator but recently these day the outside more cold than the frigde and I have throw all 3 aways and they didn't say anything when we buy it. And the rest already send out for the family not sure any issue or not. So upset and very mad about this happen to me even I come to store every week and to be their loyalty customer.😡😡😡

She really makes the best cha lua (gio) here. we always get moc and all types of fried cha. it’s soft tender and flavorful.

Great, no frills dining experience. We ordered the seaweed salad, crab rangoons, and gyoza as appetizers. Then, several rolls. My favorite was the Rocket Roll. (note, in my photo, the rolls were in soy paper. this was by my request and not how they normally come) Really enjoyed our dining experience. Good food, prompt service, and fair price point. We will be back!

This is our family’s usual spot for a day out. Sushi is excellent with decent portions and fresh ingredients. I have tried several sushi places, but this place is the only one that serves seaweed wrap without the stinky smell. Also, we love the calm atmosphere here. The server was always nice even though our little girl made a mess sometimes. Their milk teas are good too, not too sweet as other places.

Phenomenal food! Excellent service, relaxing atmosphere, and a HUGE menu. They're bound to have some thing that appeals to you. Portions are also enormous; so it's a really good value for the price too. My favorites are their coconut curry, simmered pork, and Thai Tea. I highly recommend!

Ordered chicken pho for carryout and received no vegetables only the few in the container which was very skimpy. No bean sprouts, no jalapeño, no lime, no cilantro, no basil, or green onions. I have ordered here so many times, but this will be my last. It appears they have gone down. I gave one star for service. Although the gentleman appeared nice, I did not get the quality or what I paid for.

Great food 🍲 wonton soup, sesame and sweet & sour chicken, with GOOD chicken pieces, not like some other places that use questionable meat in their entrees. We got one lunch with lo mein and one with fried rice. The cream cheese wontons are especially good and always super hot (fresh). Nice Chinese music playing at a reasonable volume. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was helpful and quick. This will be our regular Chinese place going toward

No frills... Just really, really good. Fresh & delicious. Flavors remind me of NYC, old-school Chinatown vibes, where east meets west in perfect harmony... And, despite preparing everything super fast, they took extra care in paying attention to my special order notes, accommodating allergy concerns. Generous portions, great value. Food & service are authentic & excellent.

Busy but not too crowded. One of the few places open after Hurricane Beryl. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The food, except some of the sushi, was hot and good. Nice clean buffet. The tea tasted like tea, not a watered down version. The buffet had a wide, wide variety of foods, including desserts. NoMy 14 yr old grandson loved it and ate 3 plates, no waste.

Many of dishes, including salad bar and Pizza. All the foods are delicious and clean. The foods are not salty. Most of the buffets shop ‘ foods are salty. But this shop is not salty. It's better choice if you eat at the branch on weekends.

I’ve had takeout from this place, and every time I'm blown away by the delicious flavors they deliver. Their expertise in blending spices truly shines through in every dish, adding just the right amount of heat and depth to the meal. The crawfish, in particular, was a standout—perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and seasoned to perfection. It's clear they know exactly how to balance spice and savor to enhance the natural taste of their ingredients. Every order leaves me thoroughly satisfied, and I always look forward to my next takeout experience!

Their crawish is great but the service is below mediocre. Upon walking in you can notice majority of unhappy individuals (employees that is, definitely Not the customers). I had a to-go order this time for pickup on curbside. Called the number and operator transferred me to the curbside, it rings once and goes to "call back again later". I called again and same thing happened. I went inside and over the course of 20 minutes i have told 3 different people that I'm trying to pick up a simple order of 4lb of crawfish. Every single one told me they would let me know. I stood in the same spot and watch them run around. Had to come up to the front desk to check and they even gave me attitude "when it's ready we'll call you". Then i noticed a few bags on the to-go rack, people came in and one bag was left. I came in again and said "maybe that's my order"? They asked for the last 4 digits of the phone number and gave it to me smiling. Clearly they never called me and never would have called me, either! I understand busy, but to give an attitude when you're clearly not capable of executing a simple "call you when it's ready" task, then do not not talk down to people! You can have the best food in town, but if you cant train your people or have an effective system that works you will only hurt your reputation!

Came to explore Asian groceries around Houstan and we discovered this place. The grocery section is very small and has very limited options in term of groceries. Another part of this place served as a small restaurant that serves, of course, thai food. The food is okay and their service is fine but there's lot more room for improvement when it comes to the taste. We tried few dishes and one of it was Tom Yam soup, a dish that Thais are most known with. It was just ok. Nevertheless it's a good experience.

10/10 totally recommend! Their food is the most authentic Thai restaurant in HOUSTON! And I mean it! From the yummy food to the amazing service the staff has to the different produce because it is a market. I recommend the pad Thai (beef) and the pad see ew (beef).

Food has always been really good here. Compliments to the kitchen staff. The employees working on the multiple stations of the food are very professional and friendly. I've been to this location about five times in about three years. For two adults and a six year old bill was under $42 for dinner. The wait staff is very friendly, courteous, and professional. Avoid the weekends though. Very long line and some rude customers. The restrooms need attention for sure. Spend the extra money on bottled drinks. The soft drinks are made with City water, well I'll just say that the taste is off. The sushi and hibachi are on point. That's my reason for coming here. The employees at these two stations are knowledgeable and super friendly. They treat you better than family.

First you have to like chinese buffets. It was one of the best I have been to. The selection was huge and full. Sushi was available, and so was the hibachi grill. Real ice cream for desert if you like. It was hard not to over eat.

This is one of the better places to go right before you go to hobby airport I would say this is one of the best restaurants to go to in Houston. The best dishes in order would be : tangsuyuk, jiajiang mien, orange chicken, sizzling rice soup Tangsuyuk sauce on side : 10/10 so crispy, not too sweet , and just the right serving. It’s never bad to get Jiajiangmien: 10/10 lots of sauce not too salty, tastes similar to Korea

Love this place. It’s a favorite spot for Chinese food in the area and totally worth the drive for old school Chinese cuisine.
