Pho Houston
Oh my God I have been coming here for about a year 1/2. They never fail, if you come during lunch hours less then 6 mins your food is on your table. The taste is so delicious and the price for the size of pho is on point. $13 for regular and $16 for jumbo. They also sale other dishes.
Went here for the 1st time today with my Boss & Co-worker. The atmosphere was very friendly and our server was very attentive to our food request. The food came out rather quick and the taste was on point. I had the Steak & Brisket Pho w/Beef Broth & a Thai Tea. The bowl size was perfect and I left with barely any room left in my belly. Definitely worth giving it a shot and will be coming back for some more for sure. Thank you!
Vn'Wich Cafe
We have been a customer for almost 3 years now and we have always loved their food. I have recommended their food to many of my coworkers and family. Today we had two issues that made us change our mind about the restaurant. First issue we had was with their Lean Brisket Pho bowl. The meat had more fat than meat. We asked to get something else instead and the manager/owner came to talk to us about it and suggest that we ask for “lean only” next time with no fat and then they gave us a small bowl with their “Rare Meat Pho”. We agree to her suggestion and thought she was right about asked for lean meat only but who would’ve thought about that anyways when they’re hungry right? Second issue was that the small bowl they served had a hair around an onion. We notified them again and told the cashier that we just wanted them to be aware. She grabbed a little plate we had with the hair on it to bring it back to the kitchen and show her manager/owner and then came back to ask what we wanted to do. I asked her kindly just to get the Pho bowl money refunded. She told me to meet her at the register and while I was getting my refund the manager/owner approached me and said “MAKE SURE YOU DON’T COME BACK INTO MY STORE YOU’RE TOO MUCH PROBLEM”. I didn’t argue anything back because we are not the problematic type of people so I kindly said “Ok thank you ma’am” got my refund and left with my wife. These are the type of issues that cause customers to get turned away. Lack of professionalism, cleanliness and customer service. And no ma’am I will make sure that I don’t come back and will make sure to inform others about this particular issue to prevent them from going through what you made us experience. Good luck with your restaurant!
I had their ramen. Came out super hot, but lacking in ingredients. There were only 5 really thin pieces of beef. It was 99% broth. I enjoyed it, it just left me hungry and wanting more
Ginger
We had a great dinner here. The food was really good, drinks were good too. Service was great and food came out quickly. The restaurant was well decorated for Christmas and has nice music playing quietly in the background. It was very clean. I would definitely recommend trying Ginger
Cute little place. Had lunch here as a solo date. The service was good. I had Japanese fried rice and a hot tea on this rainy day. Overall if I lived closer I’d come here often. Seems like a good place for lunch dates or meetings.
New La Crawfish Boil
All dishes we ordered were so yummy.Love the grilled oyster. The garlic seasoning for the crawfish combo was so tasty. The batter for the fried food was perfect , not too thick and very crispy. Fried rice was good.Staff were very attentive. Highly recommended!
Do not come here for fresh crawfish!! I was recommended to this place by a friend so my daughter and I had to give it a try since it’s closer to my house than my favorite crawfish place. I was so disappointed bc all my live crawfish was actually frozen! I called the restaurant and they insisted that it was live crawfish! My daughter and I love to eat crawfish. I even cook it myself when I have time so we can definitely tell if it is live or frozen! Please save your money and go somewhere else! I love supporting small businesses, but I will not be supporting this one ever again.
Shan Hu
This is one of the better places to go right before you go to hobby airport I would say this is one of the best restaurants to go to in Houston. The best dishes in order would be : tangsuyuk, jiajiang mien, orange chicken, sizzling rice soup Tangsuyuk sauce on side : 10/10 so crispy, not too sweet , and just the right serving. It’s never bad to get Jiajiangmien: 10/10 lots of sauce not too salty, tastes similar to Korea
Love this place. It’s a favorite spot for Chinese food in the area and totally worth the drive for old school Chinese cuisine.
China 101 Express
It’s located in a good location. Prices are good. They could clean up the place a bit more. And by a bit , I mean a lot more. At least have the food area looking presentable. I was hesitant on even posting these pictures. They serve you a big portion for the price you get. Their rolls are usually good, toasty AF if you’re into that. Service is fast. They even sale Disney and Pokémon accessories in there. You do have to be aware of the homeless people that stand outside though.
I'd previously had food picked up by male coworkers with Metro uniforms on and I'd received decent portions. Decided to go myself today, no uniform, and was slightly taken aback by the cluttered storeroom affect of the building. Trying to be nonjudgmental I still ordered lomein, orange chicken, and jalapeño shrimp. The server added onions jalapeños and about 4 small shrimp to the 3rd section in the container. I told her she didn't put any shrimp with jalapeño and she replied that they're only supposed to put 5 shrimp which wasn't true. I told her to keep it and walked out. I told all my coworkers and we've all agreed to never go there again.
China Star
Food has always been really good here. Compliments to the kitchen staff. The employees working on the multiple stations of the food are very professional and friendly. I've been to this location about five times in about three years. For two adults and a six year old bill was under $42 for dinner. The wait staff is very friendly, courteous, and professional. Avoid the weekends though. Very long line and some rude customers. The restrooms need attention for sure. Spend the extra money on bottled drinks. The soft drinks are made with City water, well I'll just say that the taste is off. The sushi and hibachi are on point. That's my reason for coming here. The employees at these two stations are knowledgeable and super friendly. They treat you better than family.
First you have to like chinese buffets. It was one of the best I have been to. The selection was huge and full. Sushi was available, and so was the hibachi grill. Real ice cream for desert if you like. It was hard not to over eat.
Flossie's Barbecue
Great Food! Love the small menu board!! Brisket was tender and tasty! Ribs were tender, sausage good. Liked the beans and the potato salad, excellent. Sauce was just average. Service was a little slow, heard his help called in, so seemed to be a one man band. Great price, all this for $17! Someone else had the loaded baked potato, it was stuffed hugh!!
The restaurant is small and quiet but for good reason, the Food is really good! No talking just eating. Big portions and simple menu. This place is close to Sheldon Park so I found it leaving the park. Would come again
Simon's Café
This place has pretty good food for cafeteria style setting. I tried chicken with noodles and had a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. The potatoes tasted a little plain but everything else I would say was good. Looking forward to trying it more going forward.
we were talking about this place today and it inspired me to write this review. we used to live two blocks from the mall and we would go regularly for lunch. The food here is absolutely incredible the staff is always so kind and they seem to be working very hard. we wish this place was a chain restaurant. hopefully we'll come back soon to visit it, I miss the mashed potatoes and meatloaf!
Street Food Thai Market
Sunday 4/6/25: This mini mart and restaurant proved itself a delightful hidden gem! Earlier today, I called to inquire about BYOB - pro tip: if there’s no alcohol listed on the menu, it's possible they allow it. BYOB was permitted, so our group of seven arrived for dinner fully equipped with beers and Kirkland margaritas - a fantastic addition to our evening. Arriving early at 4:30pm, six of us snagged both limited parking spots and a large table without waiting - though the place was starting to fill up. I decided on the Khao Soi Kai, ordering it "mild." While the spice leaned more towards medium, it was perfect for my palate - an explosion of rich, vibrant, creamy flavors! My husband went for the "mild" Massaman curry with chicken, which was less spicy yet delectable. The only hiccups to an otherwise superb food experience was the service. The side rice for two of the curries was forgotten entirely, and one person’s fried rice dish never arrived until we reminded the staff. If you’re searching for an unassuming, BYOB-friendly gem packed with culinary treasures, it’s well worth exploring! 🤤🌟
The reviews for this place did not disappoint! It's an unassuming little spot with an extensive menu. The prices are very reasonable, the portion sizes are excellent, and the flavor was incredible! It was truly reminiscent of the street food that I had in Koh Samui! So very good! The staff was attentive and polite and there was plenty of seating for a lunch crowd. I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu!
Betelgeuse Betelgeuse
This place is cool. You just have to come and experience the vibe yourself. Because this place is a vibe. The pizza was actually super good, came out hot and fresh. Perfect amount of cheese and the crust was just to die for. Want pizza and drinks? This is the place for you.
It’s a great spot for grabbing pizza and drinks. When we went for dinner on Monday, it wasn’t too crowded. The weather was finally cooling down. The pizza was really tasty and arrived quickly! We also enjoyed the ranch and tried the wings. The only thing I’d suggest is a bit more sauce on the wings, but they were still really tasty. My companion was happy with the beers he had. The atmosphere and decor are awesome, especially the Halloween decorations. The restroom has this wall of mirrors, which is kind of fun after a few drinks. The staff was super friendly and even checked in to ask about my friend's cocktail preferences! I’ll definitely be back!
Dan's Seafood & Wings
I ordered the blackened grilled fish with fried rice. It was pretty good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The plate was FULL!! The tartar sauce tasted better with the rice than the fish. My kids polished off my food when I got home...they loved it as well.
been coming here for a few months, food is good , but last visit on 4-10-25, customer service was nowhere to b found. i ordered fish nuggets(which comes with fries)and a drink, i also wanted the 9 fried shrimp without any fries or hushpuppies, Diana D. at the register said it comes with fries, i told her to keep the fries i just wanted the fried shrimp. she seemed puzzled. i told her never mind just the fried fish nuggets. when order was ready i only got fish, no fries, she didn't even offer to get me fries! time to go back to Baytown seafood, service way better there. no more Dan's for me. i demand customer service at food establishments or NO tip!
