King Star
You pay upfront and the hostess will give you a table. I came at 12:30PM, the perfect time for lunch. I was looking forward for the seafood especially the shrimp and imitation crab and this buffet did not disappoint. The servers did an excellent job at clearing my plates every time I got a new one. Will definitely be coming back !!!!
Food is 5/10 service is 8/10 and the place is real cool, pretty cheap was $186 for 11 people
Sichuan Noodles
Average Sichuan style food, unfortunately the fried dumplings tasted off?? The meat tasted sour and fermented?? I only mentioned to the owner after I paid, because we weren't sure if they meant to taste like that? Service was good and serving was generous, but food was just average. Maybe we picked the wrong dishes???
First off the bad reviews are on point according to our experience. Where do I start. We decided to try this place because we are people who like to try new places and things. This was one of the places in China town that wasn't packed or had a waiting line outside. Soon as we walked and sat down the vibes was not good. The waitress was just dry as could be. We ordered something of the menu and that was also advertised with an image of the supposedly the soup you would get. Once we got the soup it looked nothing like the picture. So I asked the waitress about and she responds "its just a picture" very dismissive and just walks away. We didn't not enjoy it and we left it but still payed for it. She definitely needs training on hospitality and customer service. Never offered to fix it or give us another option. We were never checked on. Never received offer for second refills. Also did not like the 2 ladies their were prepping dumplings and peeling peppers with their bare hands at a table across us. Keep in mind all while picking up dirty plates from tables and touching all kinds of things. Also if people that come to your restraunt that are not of your culture it's important to be welcoming and open as they may have questions. But soon as other customers entered their restraunt that were of their culture it was like they pull out the red carpet. Then we had to get up and ask for our check because the lady was too busy sitting at a table on her phone. đ I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WE WILL NEVER COME BACK.
Yummy Street
Worst $20 I have spent in China Town. Food is edible, but no Thai flavors. I ordered Pad Thai. The protein to noodle ratio was great, but the dish had no sweetness, sour, or umami. Just tasted like noodles with protein, very boring. I also ordered the Mango Sticky Rice. Same thing as before, it just tasted like plain white rice with mango. No sweet, no salty, no creammy coconut flavor. The rice had maybe 2 a tbsp of sauce and just half a small mango (the mango was very sweet). Restaurant is very clean.
Newly open Thai restaurant in Chinatown Dung Huang, it need a lot of improvement on food. The cashier doesn't speaking much English. Also for mango sticky rice, the number on the screen not matching with paper menu. Need to make sure your order before you paid. Since this is newly open, I will give them few weeks and try again!
Fu Fu Dim Sum and Hot Pot
A Hidden Gem in the New Spot! Weâve heard the whispersânew location, growing pains, mixed reviews. But let me tell you⊠that was not our experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like regulars. Our server was on point the entire nightâfriendly, fast, and totally on top of things. At most Chinatown spots, getting extra rice or a water refill feels like a side quest. Not here! We had barely scooped the last grains of rice onto our plates when a fresh, steaming pot appeared like magic. Our water glasses? Never empty. Itâs like they had a sixth sense for our needs. Now the food. The short ribs were rich and tender, the orange peel chicken had the perfect kick of zest and crunch, and the honey pork? Sweet, savory, and absolutely addictive. Great service and seriously delicious food. This place is a staple in Chinatown! P.s. Chopsticks are standard. I think they were judging the book by the cover tried to deliver forks and spoon prior to the meal đ
Yesterday came here to try their food with my family. Everyone really enjoy the food here. Service is great. Dim sum and steamed chicken with ginger and onion are my favourite dishes. Will definitely coming back!
C.t. Buffet Inc.
Had a weird smell when you walk in that you go nose blind to real soon. They have fish but no tartar sauce. I thought everything was well heated. Everything looked a little đ€ą especially a couple dishes on the first Island. Look at the picture. Now, Martha, my girlfriend liked the food.đđ€š
This place is on the small side and not a huge selection but the food tastes good and was fresh and hot. The servers were nice, used plates were picked up quickly and drinks were refilled without asking.
Jing 5
Jing 5 was quite a delightful find for us. If you're interested in trying delicious chicken, duck, or pork offal, then this is the place to stop by and give it a try. You can purchase a mix and match of various items, which are sold by the pound. After selecting the protein options, the server will mix them with the seasoning sauces â either mild spicy or hot spicy. They also offer a variety of pre-packaged items for takeaway. They also offer noodles and other menu items. It is a small restaurant with maybe about 5 or 6 tables. We will visit there again when we explore the Bellaire Chinatown area.
Wuhan eatery that has a variety of marinated meats and cold appetizers. Tried beef shank and duck neck. Both were good. Will come by to try more. Update: re gan mian is only okay. Like the duck necks, pork feet, and vegetables.
Silver Palace
Below average food with poor service. Waitress delivered bill when I sat down with my second plate. I was clearly not done, but by the time I came back with my third plate, she had already cleared the whole table, so I paid and left. It was busy, but she actually pulled a napkin from my table dispenser to pick up trash on the floor as she walked by. Professionalism was non existent. Parking was easy.
The exterior of the business may be deceivingly attractive, but let's get straight to the point â the food here is downright awful. Save yourself the trouble and money because this place is not worth a visit. During my first and last visit, I was met with stale, flavorless dishes that left much to be desired. It's clear that this establishment is far from its glory days and has seen a noticeable decline in quality. Having sampled various Chinese restaurants across Houston, I can confidently say that this one ranks at the bottom of the barrel. In summary, skip this place and opt for better dining options elsewhere.
Tian Tian Lu Chuaner
North Chinese cuisine specialized in flour food. Food quality is good but not great. Chinese churros, æČčæĄïŒwas fresh and crispy. Tofu jelly, è±èïŒfresh made but a little salty. Also ordered beef burritos çè鄌, was OK, but the inside was not fully warm. Overall food quality, I would give 4 stars. However the service hurts their rating. Only accept cash but no credit card. Interestingly, they put credit card logos on the wall, but they told me they only accepted cash.
Itâs a tiny, old but surprisedly good Chinese brunch place (northern style). I had enough HK Dim sum and have been looking for northern style brunch for a long time and I also see this one but it seems so old and out of fashion so I never went in. Finally, I had the first northern brunch here and didnât fail. And I LOVE their Wanton, the skin is really thin and meat is very tender. I personally donât like HK wanton, they put too many things such as water chestnut, shrimp etc. BUT I like the traditionally one the most, just meat and only meat but to make it very tender is not easy. This restaurant did a good job. AND itâs really CHEAP.
Bao Shi Yi
Food was pretty good and fresh! I will say I recommend order Fried Dumplings and Soy milk! Their Chinese Hot Sauce is also impressive! I will come back here soon to visit them again!
I give it 3 stars out of 5 because of bad customer services, the buns are not very special, but other foods on the menu are good. During my experience here, there was only one person working as waiter and cashier at same time. She didnât speak English, making it very difficult to order food. After we ordered the food, she came back to my table and tried to explain to us that one of my food is sold out but we didnât understand at that moment, so she got the money and slammed it on my table and walked away. Buns taste normal, but other foods taste better. Such as beef noodle, century egg congee, and wonton soup.
HK Dim Sum
Looking for a great little Dim Sum spot? Try HK.! It's budget friendly, made to order, fresh, great portion sizes, and just plain delicious. At other spots around town, we'd walk about $100 a person or more for dim sum. Here, $20 a person and you're stuffed! Found a new favorite to try at other spots. 42, 43, or 49. Two of these 3 we ordered. One had a super crispy and flaky crust with a shrimp center. It was just delicious! The other was super soft rolled and stuffed with all sorts of goodies. Meat, mushrooms, etc. I believe it was a bean paste roll. I'll get this every time now. This is one that won't disappoint. They were attentive, not one negative item to point out here. There's plenty of parking here, also a number of parking garages. During prime time hours, it can get a little packed. We already have plans to go back for more this weekend. Until next time.
The soup was good and the fried rice was not really fired but was good would come back to try more see attached pictures and follow me on Google reviews for more travel spots and food
Tai Loi
Very good place for party tray and catering foods. Prices are reasonable too.
Lau Cua Dong hotpot is the best here. Foods are come with varieties vege and flat noodle and tofu, and beef. Especially they have fried fish cake is also the best I had tried. Parking is big and always available in this shopping center. Small restaurant but look cozy. Good place to hang out with guys since they serve liquor there. Will come back to try different food. Recommended.
Xin Xing
This place is closed down. The owner retired and the center is renovating.
