Imperial Chinese & Sushi
We had a wonderful dinner at this cozy Chinese & Sushi restaurant! We started with the sunomono, which was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Every bite just melted in our mouths. The unagi don was a highlight: the eel was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweet glaze over fluffy rice. The Mongolian beef was delicious, savory, well-seasoned, and a nice surprise on the menu. We ended the meal with mochi ice cream, which was the perfect sweet finish. Chewy, creamy, and not overly sweet. Great service and a relaxed atmosphere made the experience even better. Highly recommended!
As a longtime lover of Japanese cuisine, I always find myself searching for places that can capture the true spirit of freshness, balance, and craftsmanship. Last night, I found just that — and perhaps even more. The evening began with a simple yet exquisite starter: sweet shrimp paired with thin slices of crisp cucumber. The shrimp was tender with a subtle, natural sweetness, while the cucumber added a refreshing, clean crunch — a perfect prelude to what was to come. The sashimi arrived next, and with just one bite, I knew I had found something special. The salmon was unbelievably fresh, silky, and rich, dissolving effortlessly on the tongue. It's no exaggeration to say this was the best salmon sashimi I’ve had since arriving in Texas. The eel rice was equally memorable — warm, savory, and layered with flavor, each grain soaking up the essence of the tender, buttery eel. The Mongolian beef, with its hearty chew and deeply savory notes, added a bold contrast to the meal, satisfying in a way only truly well-prepared beef can. Beyond the food, the experience was elevated by the people and the place itself. The owner greeted us with heartfelt warmth, and every server who passed by did so with a smile and genuine attentiveness. The interior was tastefully designed — a space that felt both intimate and stylish, ideal for a quiet date night or a lively evening with friends. We ended with a scoop of ice cream that was luxuriously creamy and smooth, melting slowly in the mouth, each spoonful a perfect finish. Even the drinks showed thoughtfulness and care. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right — the food, the service, the atmosphere. But here, every element worked in harmony. A true hidden gem. 10/10 — a place I will be recommending to everyone who asks where to find the best Japanese food in town.
Panda Express
4•24•25 came for lunch 1st timer and food is good, customer service as in cashier is the worst doesn't listen and don't understand. Also what is the deal Panda seems as if your the only "Chinese " restaurant and no (HOT OIL) why is that and what's with the Sriracha the heck ... bad choice you need to put Hot oil i was told its only fir the cooks and nit allowed to give customers seriously a franchised restaurant and can't give out Hot oil that is ridiculous. Another thing is gets extremely overwhelmed in parking area they need to break all ste side walk poor architecture on outside it just gets like a huge Cluster f#$ out on there people can't go in or come out or muchless park its horrible. But coming back to inside your cashier I'm speechless she needs 101 and learn customer service. If she can't relate then she must be either retrained or reposted elsewhere. Also she didn't put my order in to go bag what's up with that yet everyone else did. Yall just need to have a meeting there for everyone to be on same page. Impression Horrible. Food was alright. Will I come back I have no clue. But definitely not on my lunch hour tell you that.
I ordered a 2 meet small dinner. Paid the to have delivered and tip the driver. Order the spicy orange chicken. And it had 16 peppers in it. It filled up one of the containers holes that should have been with meat a protein. This is stupid Way to run a business, fill them up a noodles, Rice, and 16 hot peppers and put very little chicken in it to go order.
Pho & Chinese
I come here each time I visit Brownsville when I can and the food is always so amazing, the service as well and the staff is incredibly sweet as well. I’ll always come here! Dine in is awesome but if you’re on the go? There are take out options as well. Not to mention my food quite literally came out 5 minutes after ordering!
Delicious food. I ordered the spring rolls my favorite, their peanut sauce the best ive had in a while. Their Thai Iced Tea was even better, tasty and refreshing. I will definitely be going there more often and the waiter was super friendly, attentive and polite. 5 stars.
Panda Express
It's pretty good here. Although I would like to try noodles with my pound of cabbage that I won't eat. I find it an increasing occurrence they ladle the whole thing with greasy cabbage as a "filler". Just paid 12 bucks and threw it out. There was no line in the drive thru for it to be splashed with a small bit of protein and heavily plopped with cabbage. But other than that, the service is friendly, food is fresh, and fast.
Excellent. Clean interior with a simple but satisfying menu. The server was kind enough to suggest we wait for fresh noodles, so we did and it was well worth it. The spring rolls were also fresh and delicious. As was the honey sesame chicken. The server also brought courtesy cups for water to our table. Convenient location with an abundance of parking. Thanks Panda Express for a nice lunch at a very reasonable price!
Chopstix Asian Cuisine
Came in and felt like eating cashew chicken and to my surprise was pure cashews and not chicken I'm like what the heck? The food was horrible it all tasted the same no flavor just the sauce they use it was way to much and salty. Inwas dissapointed I'm not sure of coming back. Last experience I figure was just a bad one but this one just proved to me that it was not gonna get better. Just when I had high hopes it didn't happen. Guess I won't be coming back. I will go down to a 2☆ star from a 4/5☆ dunno it same owners or they sold it to.🤭 Came back to eat the broccoli, and beef was not disappointed. It was delish, very flavorful. And hubby ate a different dish was very good too. I was pretty impressed with their food, which was very tasty, not bland. I would definitely go back and order the same or other dishes I'd like to try. Prices are reasonable. Portion servings are outstanding. Customer service was very good and very attentive. I was just very happy with my meal and recommended this place to eat. I hadn't been here in over 7 years to come back, which was very well worth it. Thank you, Chopsticks 😊
Don't eat the duck sauce nor Chile sauce. I saw a waiter gathering all the cups n fill them to one or two cups. So disgusting who know what customer slicked the spoon n double dipped other foods in them. I ordered chicken jalapeño but it was more like mushroom jalapeño. I got kids portion of chicken in this plate super disappointing!!

Love the food best Chinese food I’ve ever tried! Employees were great! Never have any problems
Was my first time here, I order to go, frienly staff at the window, but restaurant needs a good cleaning or remodel, cabbage soup was very good, but the rest not so good, I order orange chicken and it was dry and chicken pices are to big also order Kung Pao chicken and chicken to big it didn't have and of the ingredients it suppose to have. Hope they can pay more attention on the food
Panda Express
It's a hit or miss, the new firecracker steak and shrimp is good but the steak can be a bit dry, I like to add hot mustard on my noodles and it's always good. They have a habit of forgetting your teriyaki sauce if you go through the drive thru if you order that. Sometimes the raspberry tea is watery but it's better than the location near Wal Mart.
Always very delicious food, my favorite place to eat
China Star
We came here for the buffet. We were so disappointed with it. Very limited items. Only one style of sushi. Some items were cold. No salad and only one ice cream item per person. I guess we should have walked out but decided to try it. The staff was very friendly.
Food was not the best. Got home sick from the stomach!🤢 probably ate everyone’s left overs from the buffet. We walked in as soon as it finished. But, we were hungry so stayed. Very bad idea. I wish I had taken pictures “chicken fried rice with mushrooms looked nasty. Oh and forgot to mention the egg drop soup! 🤮 not good at all!
China Restaurant
We spent $50 on a couple different things and were disappointed with all of it. I’ve never had chicken and broccoli that looked like just boiled chicken with some broccoli. And the broccoli wasn’t even cooked. The shrimp mandarin tasted like tomato more than orange. The white rice was literally crunchy. Won’t be going back at all.
lo mein had 1 shrimp, no chicken and beef was already used with a different flavor with red marks. lo mein was over cooked and rice was uncooked. Cashiers need to be more courteous and friendly.
Panda Express
Very clean! And I like the open kitchen— very busy keeping things prepared and fresh! The simple menu choices is a plus for me as is being able to look right into the display to see what appeals to me. Loved the honey walnut shrimp, and the kung pow chicken too! Very reasonable prices for a good meal! Nice tables and chairs and big windows to see the outside world. I also like that it’s very easy to ask for your meal “to go”. They gave us plenty of sauces, napkins, forks, and chopsticks if we wanted. I think it’s a very good franchise as the other ones I’ve been too also seem very clean, efficient, and the food is good!
Told my friend to get some honey walnut shrimp for me and when he came back, i looked in the large entree and got shorted honey walnut shrimp. Manager claimed to have counted it but shorted us. Do not order food from him
China Pantry
I love this Chinese place the food is so good and so on point. I was use to eating panda express till I came here this place beats it out of the ball park. The staff is super nice and makes sure the food is fresh. Thank you to the workers
Sunday morning the staff was polite and friendly. They greeted every guest that came in. The sweet and sour chicken was good however the beef and broccoli was really dry even though it was covered in a broth. The fried rice was just brown mushy rice as if too much water was used. Really couldn’t eat it. If I visit again I would recommend steam rice.
Panda Express
First time having a bad experience with a Panda Express. I got home and after cutting the orange chicken open for my daughter I noticed a DISCOLORATION in the orange chicken. I then realized that MULTIPLE PIECES were raw on the inside (picture included). I’m not sure how often this happens, but I hope this can be fixed in order to ensure the safety of other customers.
There is something up with this Panda Express. I consider myself to have a “strong stomach” and don’t normally get food borne illnesses, however, I have noticed with this specific location that I tend to experience issues a few hours after eating here. This does not happen with any other locations despite ordering the same thing. The food looked good with the exception of a few discolored items but did NOT taste bad at all
