Tiger Noodle House
Definitely a wonderful culinary experience! At Tiger Noodle House, the food was delicious from the very first bite. The customer service was exceptional, with super fast service that made our visit even more enjoyable. Plus, the prices are very reasonable, making this place an ideal option to enjoy a good meal without overspending. The taste and seasoning of the dishes are simply irresistible. You definitely won't regret visiting this restaurant. Highly recommended!
Wow pleasantly surprised, ordered tiger fried rice, dongpo pork, and dry beef noodles, only took about 15 mins for the food to come out all at once and the fried rice was perfectly seasoned, not greedy with proteins. The dongpo was pretty good a bit underwhelming but good nonetheless, and the noodles were good as well, definitely would come back it's worth the trip.
Wokker
What a cute spot! I got the Wok Fried Rice bowl with Smoked Brisket. I am a huge fan of kimchi so this dish was amazing to me. The service was quick and friendly. My friends raved about the brisket egg rolls but they finished it before I got to try any. I will definitely be back to try so other dishes.
Hello foodie folks…can I just say wow…crazy new spot in the heart of H-town Galleria area that just opened two days ago and still in their soft opening phases. However, they got their system and wonderfully, smiling staff together. They are inside a new Food Hall and I love the give. Went here during lunch and there definitely was a strong vibe and energy level. The food was seasoned well and good portion size. Good amount of shrimps, tasty noodles and delish Brussels sprouts!! If you want to just lounge around, there are comfy booths and seats all over. Come check them out. ChowChow Time!!
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
Super clean , i just had to try their food everything is made fresh . Emma is there FOH girl and she is super sweet and helped me with all questions I asked . My food was amazing I’ll definitely be back 🙏🏽🤗 Rice : 10/10000000 Wontons : 10/10 better then PE for sure ( sorry ) Noodles : 10/100000 Mini Donuts 😘😘😘😘 Wings: 8.5 - I like my wings more crispy and I’ll try another flavor maybe but I’m sure it will be a 10/10 . Thank you Emma again didn’t disappoint at all 🙏🏽
The service was great! They helped us pick what to get, prepared the food quickly and followed up with us about our satisfaction. The food was good. The sticky wings and spicy general tsos chicken was my favorite and very flavorful. The Mongolian steak was okay The wontons weren't very filled. The Thai donuts are very tasty! The ambiance is clean and relaxed. I would come back.
Hunan's Bistro & Sushi
Was there for a weekday lunch with my aunt. We enjoyed every dish we tried. The tempura shrimp was battered and fried perfectly. The Philadelphia sushi roll was delicious. The beef broccoli lunch special was seasoned well, with good flavor. The steamed dumplings were superb. The service was quick and attentive. They also offer takeout. I will definitely return to try more dishes.
The food was great!!!! The presentation was perfect. Just needed a bigger table, lol!!!! The sake was good!!! Me and the wife took the nephew for his first Houston sushi. We loved everything!!!
Hu’s Garden
This is very standard food. Lacking in taste, but what taste they do have is good enough and portions and prices are excellent. Our server was awesome, attentive and quick. Food came out quickly too. If I was in the mood for very standard Chinese food with good and quick service, I would come here. I had the vegetarian General Tso's chicken in the lunch special menu which came with fried rice, egg roll, and egg drop soup.
Came to this place after they had changed their name. Food is nice and reasonable for lunch. Service was excellent and our food came out quickly. Quick and peaceful with no music. Definitely a lunch place to visit.
Mama’s Kitchen
Pretty good food. Many classic "Chinese" American options plus lots of more authentic dishes. Offer Boba tea too!
We came and got eggrolls, beef and broccoli and the Spicy hot pot. Everything was delicious. I recommend the eggrolls!
China Stix
Intro: the food is good, but those chicken wings are fire! Pros: -the chicken wings (red chicken) is amazing. Some of the best chicken wings I have ever eaten. -the food was clean and presentation was nice. -the price was reasonable -seasoned food correctly. Sweet and sour was good. Cons: -the shrimp fried rice was bland but it did have nice portion of shrimp Overall: I recommend
Amazing food with a staff that is very attentive! Drove all the way from New Caney to try this place out and will definitely come back soon!
Timmy Chan Original
Decided to try out this location. It's a beautiful building. The dining area is spacious and clean. The atmosphere though is kinda cold and unfeeling. I ordered chicken strip basket, shrimp fried rice and a small order of green beans. The strips were small but juicy. Rice is okay but oily and smushy. Green beans are a little overcooked.(edit: found a little rock in it) They have a minimum requirement of having to order at least $10 of food to place an order. I think I'll stick to my usual location instead. It took quite some time to get my food. It was almost $40 and the food wasn't as great as it looked.
Had the fried chicken and catfish. Fried rice was a little bit bland but went well with the more flavorful fried chicken which was good and had a bit of kick to it. Portions were good too. Would definitely come again.
Auntie Chang's Dumpling House
Me & my partner are new to the area & on our first night in our apartment we ordered takeout from here. Service was fast and the food was super hot by the time we got back to our place. Also, the employees were very nice and helpful. The food was absolutely AMAZING! Such a great meal that made our first night memorable. We will definitely be coming back!
Went here for my sisters birthday and it was DELICIOUS! I got the orange chicken with the crispy spring rolls. I also tried the lo mein and the steamed chicken dumplings and it was all 10/10. The orange chicken is super fresh and it even has small pieces of the orange peel in it that add so much freshness. Will definitely be coming back here in the future 🤤
Spicy Girl
Kim was our server she was beautiful and very kind. She made our first experience worth it. She was patient and went over and beyond to make sure we felt good and happy while dining. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Flavors were paired very well with each dish.
Just ate here for the first time and will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is great and the aroma that hits you when you walk in had my mouth watering. Everything I ate was stellar but I highly suggest ordering the soup dumplings and sichuan chili beef. And to top it all off our service from Kim was phenomenal, she really went above and beyond and made our meal memorable. Definitely give this place a try if you haven't.
JJ Garden
JJ Garden was just about a decent experience and it looks nicer from the outside. When you walk inside, you walk straight through the majority of the tables on the way to the register. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it does inhibit the space of others eating. The menu is put well together and is priced appropriately and so I'll award credit for that. I ordered the Tangy and Spicy Chicken, and it was that, but the taste was faint and at least to me it was not spicy. With that entrée comes both a soup and a egg roll or spring roll. I got the hot and sour soup and a spring roll. The soup was not watery but it also wasn't the most flavorful, and so as a result I'll dub it a "solid" soup. The spring roll was better than the soup and I would also describe it as solid, but it's also very basic and I could call it mass produced. In regards to the food I might be a bit biased, but this is still just an opinion. The last note I'll add is on the service. The food came out within 10ish minutes of being order and was hot. All and all, I'd recommend this only to those residing near it and those looking for a quick and cheap lunch meal.
Trying to escape back out of town from NRG traffic after a Texans win over Steelers and remembered this place that we never had been to. OMG really great flavors and sauces with every dish. Everyone was happy and full during the 3 hour trip back home. We'll stop again next trip! Give them a try 😉
Dough Zone Dumpling House Houston Midtown
Good atmosphere for casual dinner/ date, fast service, consistent food. One of our go to dinner places. The service is always friendly and fast. They have a large menu which is really nice. Their xiaolaobao are good, and the fried dumplings are also good. Noodles are okay, not the best but not bad. Would not recommend the zhajiangmian.
It was our first time at Dough Zone, and we loved everything we ordered. Nice portion and prices are reasonable compared to some of the dumpling houses elsewhere. The dumpling soup was so yummy, the wraps were soft, and the soup tasted just right, not bland or salty. Their cucumber in chilly oil was fresh and super crunchy. We ordered four, thinking it was a small single portion size omg...when the waitress brought 4 dishes out, all of our jaws dropped. Each plate was full. They were so delicious that we finished 3 plates. Lol Everything was delightful. Good find!!! The only downside to this place is parking. There is not enough parking, and some of the lots are fairly small. We struggled to find an available parking lot, and once we found one, the space was very tight for our pickup truck. However, if you live in the Heights, near Dough Zone, it's better to just walk there or take an Uber. Happy dining :)
