Golden Joy BBQ

426reviews

We went for lunch service on a Friday. It was decently busy, but I only saw 2 handling all the tables. Because of that, a lot of the dishes were borderline cold or overcooked, which impacted the texture. For example, the soup dumplings barely had any soup and were steamed too long, making the wrapper pretty mushy. On the other hand, I enjoyed the baked pork bbq buns; however, they were served cold. I reheated the leftovers at home, and they tasted a lot better.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Golden not BBQ, a dim sum restaurant. The restaurant is located in a small plaza with ample parking. The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with carts being pushed around by older Asian ladies, which adds to the authentic Chinese dim sum experience. The menu features a variety of dim sum dishes, ranging from $4.99 to $30.99 for a whole duck. While the dumplings were not to our taste due to the thick skin, we thoroughly enjoyed the other dim sum dishes, especially the chicken feet. We also ordered a duck to go, which seemed smaller compared to other places, but was still delicious. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience at Golden not BBQ. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. We would likely return in the future.

Red Hot - Indo Chinese & Indian Kitchen

The service was excellent. We waited for about 15 minutes before being seated but even during that time, the manager was extremely nice. After ordering, we started receiving the food 5 minutes after. The food was extremely delicious and flavorful. It wasn’t too spicy and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Overall it was a 10/10 experience and we can’t to come back!!!

This food is OUTSTANDING! We stopped in because it was close to where we were and will return because this was so delicious! We ordered chicken momos which came with delicious accompanying sauces. They are excellent and have a ton of flavor. The chicken was tender And well seasoned. We ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala along with a palaak paneer dish. Each were perfect. They also serve a generous portion. We took food home. The service was great too. The gentlemen were attentive and very polite. The facility is clean as well. I will definitely e returning.

Kirin Court

The food here is generally good. Tonight the shrimp and beef fun rolls were cold and felt like they were made earlier in the day. The rest of the items were served hot and tasted delicious. The service was impeccable to my surprise. Was it because there was only one other group of 6, or was it because the boss and his family were there, or did the service genuinely improve?? This place is huge and I’ve seen it packed. Would definitely recommend 👍👍

I seldom come here now, and when I do, it's only because of friends. Every time I come here, I want to complain about the waiters here. Their service is not the worst in the United States, but worse. The most amazing thing about them is that they treat people differently! The waiters at the American table just patted their shoulders and smiled, while the waiters at the Chinese table all looked like they owed me money. I just want to ask, are you not happy with the tips every time? The food is really not that good, the service is rubbish, and they still have to calculate the percentage of the tip per person! You don't deserve it!!!

Wok Star Chinese

3 stars for food quality and taste. 5 Star for rest. Great serving size even for lunch appropriate to share. They have a bar as well as booth and table seating. Outdoor seating available as well. Service was excellent.

I am writing this review as we sit at the bar, consuming the food we've ordered. The crispy tofu was soggy. The rice that it came with was dry, undercooked. The vegetable spring rolls were a pittance, I did appreciate that they were crisp. (more crisp than the "crispy tofu"). But most of all, the soup dumplings came with a very thick skin. There was no black vinegar dipping sauce. The restaurant does not have black vinegar which is a staple in Chinese restaurants. Which makes me wonder, what do they use for their hot and sour soup? You can't make that soup without black vinegar. As an Asian who has traveled Asia, I rate this restaurant very poorly in flavor, rice doneness, and condiments. I wish we had walked into a Panda Express instead.

Lucky Bamboo Fine Chinese Kitchen

I ordered food for a corporate event on 10/2 for about 100 people, and the food was OUTSTANDING!! We had the Sesame Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, Veggie Fried Rice, Veggie Lo Mein, and Spring Rolls. Everyone was extremely impressed and wanted to know more about ordering for their own families. A family-owned establishment and they make you feel right at home as soon as you walk-in. I recommend 100,000%!!! Thank you beautiful people. We'll be back!

Not sure where how this place doesn't have a 1 star review. Their chicken and broccoli is steamed chicken and broccoli with no sauce and still wet from the water it was steamed in. The lo meim noodles were soggy and bland. The general taos chicken was mushy and bland.

Đồng Quê Restaurant

Went to Dong Que in Garland (Jupiter and Walnut). We ordered the Bo Cuon La Lot (ground beef wrapped in Hawaiian leaf) to make our own "Spring Rolls". The dish comes out deconstructed and you make your own roll. Very Fun, Healthy, and Delicious. They are BYOB!

Been dining here since 2010 and the food here is AMAZINGLY GREAT!!

Long Time Ago

235reviews

A Long Time Ago is a family-owned, delicious Chinese restaurant. Their crab rangoons are the best and they look like they actually have imitation crab. If you want a flavorful spicy dish to try go for the crispy spicy chicken or the orange beef dish. The inside is a cute mom and pop shop feel to it.

I walked in last minute to order take out and the lady was really nice to service. That’s the nicest feeling you could possibly have when you have Chinese food cravings then enter a restaurant by their closing time and most importantly, feel welcomed. As a Chinese I appreciate their consideration on choices of making adjustments to flavors and approve their food!

This restaurant has been open for over 25 years and has always been my favorite spot for authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Today is my brother's birthday, and we decided to go there for dinner upon my request. Lily made the most delicious dishes for us! I will never stop going there! Best restaurant In town

Shoo Loong Kan Hot Pot 小龙坎火锅

This is my new favorite hot pot restaurant. I came here twice. First time was when it was during soft opening. Service was always great, but I was disappointed with the availability of the dishes. When I came back the second time, most of the dishes were available. My favorite soup base is tomato, pork bone, mushroom, and the spicy soup base. I can’t handle too spicy, but I love it with my meat. So I order the least spicy level. Honestly, it was still spicy for me, and the server asked me if it was too much, then he offered to scoop out all the chili pepper, it made it a lot better for me. The service was just right, server are there just when you need them. There are so many dishes that I would eat them over and over again. House special beef tripe is the best one I have tried so far. Pork feet is crispy outside but tender inside. Crystal beef is soft and tender, and many more. This place is beyond my expectations. I will definitely come back.

I recently visited Shoo Loong Kan in Dallas and had an amazing hotpot experience! The prices are great, especially considering you can choose either 2 or 3 different soups for just under $20. The beef here is top-notch—thicker and more tender than other hotpot places I've been to. The vibe is lively and the restaurant gets crowded, which just adds to the fun atmosphere. They also have spacious tables, with a round table for 8-10 people, making it perfect for group dinners. We tried the Tom Yum, Pork, and Mushroom soups, all of which were delicious. The filet fish had a slightly strong smell, but the Saba fish was sweet and flavorful. I wasn't a fan of the plum juice, as it had a smoky taste, but my boyfriend loved it. The meal was a little more expensive than other hotpot spots, but the quality and experience make it totally worth it. For 6 people, our total was around $260, including tax but before tip. The best part? They don't automatically add a tip for larger groups, which is a nice touch. To top it off, they offer free ice cream at the end—definitely recommend trying the strawberry flavor! There’s still so much more to try, like their fried rice and other sides, so I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!

Uncle Wing Chinese Restaurant

243reviews

Our local go to Chinese take out place. Good portions, cooked fresh. You can find cheaper places but Uncle Wings has consistently better food quailty. Orders do take around 30-45 min, sometimes longer on busier nights but its made with love so worth the wait. I wish they had pictures of each dish on their website is my only nitpick.

My family has been coming to this restaurant for YEARS and it's become a staple for us. It's a quaint, family-owned restaurant. The food is tasty and I enjoy the generous portions. My only complaints, like others, are the wait times~ we often place our order via phone and are told it will take 10-15minutes. This is always the response if we place an order of 2 or 5 entrees, but in reality we end up waiting anywhere from 30mins to an hour. It would be awesome if they had a website with their menu and prices, as well as an online ordering system.
