Tim Ho Wan
We came here for the first time the other day and it was pretty decent. Service was pretty good and staff was friendly. The bbq pork buns were good and different than my usual (they were more cooked than I’m used to). The brisket was really good but the wonton soup was overpowered by the shrimp flavor. We had a large group so we tried a lot of different dishes and everyone was satisfied.
Located in Katy Asia town, there was a lot of hype when Tim Ho Wan came to Houston. I don't come out to Katy often but got a chance to check out their dim sum on a weekday night. No wait when we arrived. We ordered serval of their popular items to try: - siu mai - har gow - steamed dumpling with shrimp - steamed pork spare rib - garlic green beans - pork buns - crispy golden shrimp balls - steam rice roll - braised beef brisket - baked bbq pork buns Quite frankly the taste was underwhelming. A few items were a bit bland. They put their own spin on some of the traditional style dim sum but I felt that they missed the mark. The service was friendly but overall, not what I had expected.
Panda Express
I’m truly upset. I stopped by panda around 830p - for a quick yummy bite to eat, arrived home I opened my bowl to find I literally had less than 1/4 cup of chicken in my bowl. This is INSANE. I literally paid for rice & I know it’s not like “they didn’t notice” people are coming home hungry trusting that you’ll give them what they paid for and this is 100% BS. If I wasn’t 15min away I’d drive back up there and complain in person / get my moneys worth but for now I hope this review gets to the people working tonight & you guys do better bc I’d be glad to pay for a sufficient amt of food I ordered but this is just pure laziness to not make more or you shouldn’t be working there bc you obviously don’t know how to serve.
This is my first time eating at this specific panda location and I honestly enjoyed my visit. I'll start with customer service ------------------------------ I was given a short greeting with a complete lack of emotion and a refusal to smile. I was not given any attitude, it just was not a pleasant interaction. On the other hand, the manager and cashier were extremely pleasant and had nothing but seemingly genuine smiles. Food quality ------------- I got a plate with half and half chow mein and fried rice. My entrees were Beijing beef and sweet fire chicken. I was surprised at how fresh and tasty everything was. Definitely five star food quality. I am impressed. Atmosphere ------------ Dislocation was extremely clean, and smelled great!
Panda Express
A few years ago, I really wasn't a fan of Panda Express at this location. Now, after many returns I just love the freshness of their food. And when you walk in the door they greet you like family. Super friendly, and the staff is very mindful of your food. I've waited to post a review. After about 5 or 6 times I visited, I've felt the same. I've tried most everything but now being on a low carb diet, my go to is a bowl. Super Greens and grilled chicken, no teriyaki sauce. Superb! Fyi the pictures I posted are after we ate. Tomorrow's lunch for sure!
I'm hungry, I think about Panda express, I order two dishes for my friend and me. We went to order through the drive-thru, we got home after 20 minutes of driving, we opened the plates of food and the surprise was that her dish was just as she ordered it but mine was NOT! I don't know if they do this because they are about to close, the service and quality go down and they don't pay attention, my dish was CHOW MEIN, HONEY WALNUT SHRIMP and BROCCOLI BEEF, I didn't want to drive back 20 minutes and complain about my order! because they put chicken in my order that I don't like! As you can see on the ticket, they charged me for the shrimp but they never put it on me, they put ORANGE CHICKEN! instead of shrimp which I paid for! Terrible service also when ordering sauces at the window!
Panda Express
Came for lunch while visiting Katy on a Easter Sunday; it was not too busy. Checked that it was open before coming since some businesses were closed. Got plates and egg roll and veggie spring rolls. All the food was very good and up to a good Panda Express quality. Service was fast and friendly.
I have been going here for several years and have always gotten the same thing except today. I went to the drive thru window and saw the GRILLED TERIYAKI CHICKEN. It looked great. I ordered it and took it home. It had to be the nastiest meal I had ever had. I tossed it in the trash. The actual order was not even close to the picture. Do yourself a favor and skip this meal
China Inn Cafe
I had been a customer to China Inn Cafe since 2017, I usually placed an order once a week and often twice a week. Throughout that time our tea order would not show up or they would send the wrong soup and they would give me a credit for the next order. Today was just the worst, food is good enough to put up with it most of the time, but when the missed one of the lunch items we ordered after they repeated the order multiple times forgot to charge us for it(they did not input the order in their system). When we called to figure out what happen we placed the order for the missing food, I waited to eat with my wife, 1:15 minutes later when we called to check on delivery time the said that the driver refused to deliver it because it wasn’t more than $20. I talked to the manager after the person who takes the order had to beg him to talk to me, I could here him in the background saying he does not want to deal with customer service issues, she insisted and then he got on the phone and said, “what you want!”( I tried to take the rude response as a translation thing). I explained that I have been a loyal customer for years and that I would like to have my food, he said he pays the driver too much for a order less than $20, I told him that I tip the driver $6-$10 for a ordered that is usually $34 and that my order would have been more than $20 if they had gotten it right in the first place. He said driver refused and that he cannot do anything about it, that I can go pick it up. Forgive the long negative review but good grief. Enough is enough. They have lost a loyal customer who put up with their incompetence for years. Do not be like me and put up with it, because when they mess up bad, the owner will not care. To the lady on the phone, thank you for making him get on the phone, you have integrity.
Disgusting ppl They don't care about you because they don't eat it themselves Don't eat here as you can see A ROACH IN MY FOOD! then they had the nerve to ask if I wanted some more Don't bring this garbage to your family to eat I beg you I will be reporting them to food authorities! They need to be inspected ASAP
Masala Wok
We're always a little hesitant to try any new restaurants with review stars lower than 4, but the recent power outage left very few options for food. Many restaurants were still without power, but we found out Masala Wok was in operation and open for business. The staff was friendly at the counter, and we told them that it was our first time dining in their restaurant and that we might have a few questions. The gentleman was nice, and he answered all our questions and explained all the different options. We've been to many different Indian restaurants, and we know a good chicken biryani when we taste one. The biryani had nice flavor and spices, the chicken was tender, and the sauces added an extra touch of flavor for the entrée. We also ordered the Mongolian chicken with vegetables and Jasmine Rice. The meat had a good, rich flavor, and the vegetables still had a nice crunch to them and weren't soggy or overcooked. We came here not really knowing what to expect, but we left pleasantly surprised and happy. We hope other new patrons can experience the same great food and service we've experienced. We wish Masala Wok the best and hope future customer reviews will take them over the 4 start ratings. We'll be back soon!
Went here for the first time this evening. It’s Indian / Asian fast food- nothing more. For starters we got the 2 soups- Manchau and Hot & Sour and an order of samosas. For the main course- Paneer 65 and chicken 65 wraps. We also got a kids meal (chicken tikka with rice). The soups were okay. Samosas were just okay too. The wraps were better taste wise and portion. My kid’s meal was a ton of basmati rice, with 4 little pieces of tandoori chicken on a skewer and some tandoori sauce on the side. Not enough chicken or sauce for the portion of rice. It was good to try out the place. We may come back to perhaps try out some of the Asian dishes. Service was quick and the place was fairly large and clean.
Panda Express
Holiday for New Years Day. Sign says 10am open. Doors are still locked at 10:54. Nice.
All the workers are very friendly had no problems making me hot food or letting me taste anything, this is also one of the cleaner ones I have been to seems like they do most of there business in the drive through, or could just be the time I was there
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
I ordered 3 orders of Tuesday special, look this is what i got. I got 6 dried old of chicken thighs no drum sticks at all. Those pieces hard like a rock and nasty, why would they do that to us.
They are lucky that I did not feel like going back up there because I’m right next door. I asked the cashier 4x to fry everything fresh. I even told her I would wait. I ordered 8pc spicy, cook to order. Ten minutes later she tell me that my chicken is ready . I told her that was very quick , and she continues to tell me it’s fresh. Tells me to touch the box and everything. A part of me knew she was lying but I didn’t want to be difficult. .I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe they had just fried some up. I get home and it’s 8pc mild with three legs and some mystery pieces that have been recooked to make it seem fresh. She could have made her job very difficult that day by not simply fulfilling the order. The sad part is they were not even busy so there was no excuse. She barely spoke English but she spoke enough to lie. During this whole exchange I was very polite and regretted it instantly. She almost had a bad shift. So whoever was working Sunday night around 6:30, you should be careful because some people are not as nice as me.
Panda Express
The staff at this location are always amazing! Smiles and keeps the line moving quickly. The one downside of not just this location (although it happens 100% of the time at this location) is when going through the drive thru, my food never seems fresh. It's always soggy and mushy. When taking out like this occasion, I always get much better quality product.
Decent food but if go during off hours it seems like been sitting there awhile. Lots of homeless people sit in lot or at patio and harass you when you go in. The staff are super nice at this location. Updated... Seems the homeless folks have stopped hanging out which is nice.
Golden Hunan
Doordashed from here and while portions are ok size the food is flavorless. Ordered the spicy chicken and asked for extra spicy but it had no spice. Not 1 pepper found. In addition the lo me in was flavorless and mushy. Pu pu platter was ok on egg rolls but wings appeared undercooked. In addition they left out my ribs appetizer that was ordered. Definitely would order from some of the other local Chinese places and avoid this one.
Just had the worst experience ever. Ordered my food. Cook was playing with cell phone, put on his hat, hands touched his hair, etc. He began cooking without washing his hands. Then he grabbed a handful of broccoli from the cooler and put it directly in the pot. ALL OF THE ABOVE WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS!! I immediately asked for a refund. He was offended that I asked for a refund. He said he didn't know why I wanted a refund. I explained to him that he was not following the proper food handling procedures. His excuse was that the hot water in the pot was cleaning the broccoli. He didn't understand that fact of him crabbing raw food with his unwashed bare hands... BEWARWE!!
Loy Loy Dim Sum
Generic food court quality food. Not quite authentic Chinese, but nice attempt. I had the Singapore noodles, which needed a little more curry powder flavor. Potstickers were rubbery.
I’ve had Bao all over the world, but these Bao buns were incredibly disappointing. The BBQ Bao steam buns were mostly bun with very little filling—about 95% bun and only 5% filling. The sticky rice was stale and slimy, unlike anything I’ve had before. The shrimp balls were the only redeeming part of my meal—they were actually good. However, the portion of sauce provided was ridiculous. I spent over $50 on my order and received just four BOTTLECAPS of sauce, which was honestly laughable. As for customer service, I didn’t stay long enough to fully assess it, but I did notice the staff member at the front ignored a paying customer with which they were in midst of an order with, to speak to me about my order. Take that for what it’s worth. Long story short, there’s much better options at Post HTX for the price point such as Chop’n Blok across the hall.
China Ocean
Inexpensive Chinese food. If this is something you enjoy, China Ocean will not disappoint. Egg rolls are good, and their green beans were great. I had orange chicken, it was good. Service was fast and friendly. There's a lot of places to eat in the downtown underground, and this one is decent enough to eat at more than once. Not impressive enough for five stars, but it is good.
Came by super early before they even opened, they had a couple of items already ready to go. They were super good and fresh you can tell they were just made and not something re heated.
