Dragon Dragon
This was my favorite spot for years but recently I have noticed a change in the food. I have noticed that the owners had changed, initially I thought nothing about it but when I had my food it lacked sauce in my chicken and broccoli combination plate. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave it another try but the flavor of the sauce on the chicken and broccoli and the rice changed. It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t the same. I most likely won’t eat here again due to it not matching the original quality this restaurant used to have. I just hope the owner change is only temporary, I really used to love this restaurant.
NEW OWNERSHIP DO NOT BUY ALL ITEMS HAVE BEEN CHANGED FOR WORSE, THIS IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT RESTAURANT WITH THE SAME NAME. This used to be my favorite Chinese food spot in Warwick. I always got the chicken wing combination meal and it was delicious, but recently ownership has changed and all of the food looks and tastes completely different than they used to and it’s MUCH worse. Chicken wings are about half the size and use a different cheaper seasoning, and the rice was cold and tasted like it was just microwaved (I waited in the restaurant as my food cooked and picked it up as soon as it was ready). The egroll was smaller and cooked terribly, the oil it was cooked in wasn’t heated enough, so it was just soaked in oil and gross. I have also spoken to other friends who once loved this restaurant, all of the other items have changed for the worse. Someone bought the business and thought they could make all the menu items with cheaper ingredients and still stay in business, good luck 🤣🤣.
Golden Bowl
Wow the Hot Oil noodles with Bok choy were AMAZING. We were hitting the road so got it to go, and the service was quick and kind! The interior of the shop could use a little decor but when the food is this good who cares? 10/10 on the hand pulled noodles - will be back for more SOON!
I ordered the Pepper Steak and Onion from this restaurant for pickup, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the dish. The texture and flavor of the meat were not what I expected from steak—it tasted very off and unlike any steak I’ve ever had. I even called the restaurant to confirm what type of meat was used, and they assured me it was regular beef steak, but something about it just didn’t sit right. I appreciate the convenience of the order and pickup process, but the quality of the dish left a lot to be desired. I won’t be returning for this dish
Panda Express
The food is always good. The service was good. They just ran out of a few of their items so my wife had to wait a while for her food. In all, it was good as usual.
Bruh these people suck I waited 20 minutes for my order, went over to try and get it and they kept ignoring me and going to other customers. There is no order and I’m not sure the employees even knew what was going on. I waited another 30 minutes and finally got some weirdos attention and they didn’t even finish my order😭 I left without the food and now I have to eat ramen at home:(
China Inn
This is a hidden gem that is really slept on in Warwick! I am so glad I found them.. I have tried many Chinese restaurants in the area that were said to be “really good” but this place is by far the very BEST! The food is great and very consistent. I love that it is family owned and operated, plus the kids are just too darn cute… Everyone is kind, very sweet and customer service is excellent and always on point!! I always have a great experience and for the price you get a lot of food! Everything on the menu is made fresh, fast, hot and very tasty. The place is always clean and inviting. There is tons of parking and you are in and out very quickly anytime of day or if you prefer you can eat in. They also offer delivery which is great if you’d rather just stay home.. If you’re in the mood for great Chinese food, please give China Inn a try..
I ended up wishing that I'd just had cereal instead. I didn't even eat 1/5 of what I put on my plate, and then proceeded to throw away $60 worth of Chinese food.( If that's what you want to call it) Rice is tacky and flavorless.. Is chicken supposed to be gray? Do they prepare these meals days in advance? Did they soak their boneless spare ribs in lard, and then scoop it out ? Not kidding.. I'm having diarrhea from it, as I write this review. Worst Chinese food I've ever had. I have no idea how this place has stayed in business. If Chinese food ever gets brought up in conversation, I will go out of my way to recommend to folks that I know .. to never go to this place. Zero stars, actually.
Taste of China
Horrible the chicken and broccoli don’t even taste like chicken. The rice is soggy. I feel so disrespected and like I just got robbed for 35 dollars I been going to taste of china for years but this place is absolutely giving the brand a bad name. My wife is pregnant and the food is in the trash. They smile in your face like they cool with you but really they laughing at you cause it probably ain’t even chicken I’m heated or I would have driven 25 minutes to bring it back. This is the husband leaving this message just for the record.
The crab Rangoon 🦀 had no crab in them plus the dough was super thick and chewy. The shrimp with lobster sauce was totally bland no flavor at all and it looked really gross. Same for the fried rice I called first and the girl that answered the phone was extremely rude and snarky and even hung up on me before I finished my question. I will never go back Khoo on cowesett or Wasabi on bald hill road is much much better.
Bamboo House
Quantity was large. We ordered dinner combo with veg low main. The portions were big. We could not finish the food. If you are really hungry go for this place. We ordered sesame chicken, Schezewan chicken, General Tso chicken from combo menu. We also order mei fun. All food was good. Reasonably priced. lady in the cash register had thick accent and at times it was hard to understand.
Believe the negative reviews and go elsewhere. I read the reviews before going because we were visiting Newport for the first time. I wish I believed them. The lady that takes the orders and serves the food is absolutely horrendous! She told my husband to "go sit down and don't come here" when he wanted to know how long the food may take to be ready. We ignored that and waited for our food. I decided to place an extra order to bring to our hotel and my toddler followed me to the counter and she ordered her back to the table because she didn't want her hands to soil the counter(she had clean hands). I told her she had clean hands and was okay to be with me. She refused to take my order and went to sit down to continue eating her food. We found another Chinese cuisine place 2 minutes from there.
Peking Tokyo
I ordered a takeout dish which was fine, not the best but fine. However, what compelled me to write this review is the fact that the free egg roll had pork in it. I double checked their menu on DoorDash and even there it was mentioned as a pure vegetarian dish. I am like many others in the reviews still recovering from this. I just wanted to go support a local business and it turned out to be a horrible experience.
I’m just now recovering from this place. Ordered take out four days ago and haven’t stopped having diarrhea. Not just any diarrhea, but blow out, almost have an accident type of diarrhea. This place will make a grown man shit himself. Awful experience and will never go back….. you’ve been warned.
Good Friends Chinese Restaurant 友谊
where do I begin... this food is horendous!! the ribs were overdone, but were edible..the pork fried rice was basic. The Beef with Scallions were ok...nothing to write home about. C4 . Shrimp with Lobster Sauce ...well the sauce was the darkest lobster sauce I've ever encountered and yet the flavor was bland..supposed to be seasoned with pork..where? there's no pork in this! And the Fried Chicken Wings (5) was atrocious...it was fried to a crisp...and when that happens the so-called "seasoning" is burnt off.. the pics don't lie... it's a crime against humanity to have the cook near the food from this point on! It's so bad we had to toss the majority.. only 1 Fried Chicken Wings (5) was nibbled on...and the price for the food is an additional slap in the face. I hate to say this but AVOID THIS PLACE unless you want to be be disappointed!
I love this place . I've been going here for a l9ng time, and it never disappoints . My food is always hot 🔥 and fresh when I bring it home. The only 2 Things I don't like or care for are there, Crab Ragoon 🙅🏽♀️👎🏽 I just don't get why they changed it . And Also There There Donuts don't care for them either, and I don't know why they changed them either they were both really good before . So why change it .
China Wok
The staff were super nice but the food is so bad… the chicken is very dry, the broccoli chicken the broccoli is hard not cooked well and the chicken is squishy and melted in my mouth I had to spit it out immediately. I would avoid it I’m stuck in the bathroom now…
The buttered Shrimp with Crab and noodles for $12.95 was so delicious! Walked up and was immediately served a sample of their chicken which was so good and got me wanting more! Highly recommend for a quick lunch!
