Lucky House 好運樓
We always have great service and good food from Lucky House, whether we dine in or grab take out. They're always helpful and considerate when dealing with food allergies as well. We will keep coming back as this is one of our favorite places to grab a meal.
I can't say more about the service. Our waiter was phenomenal and made sure the food was perfect. He made our dinner the best. The food was so flavorful and will now be my new favorite since our old Chinese restaurateurs closed. The chow mein was exactly how I love it maybe even better than any other I've had before. The atmosphere was super clean and comfortable and they have a very large drink selection.
Bali Village Restaurant
We ordered takeout on a Friday around noon and it only took them 10 minutes to prepare! The sizes of the lunch specials we ordered were huge and way beyond my expectations! The general tso is as good as everyone mentions! It was white all meat, had a crunchy texture, and was delicious! I had the boneless spare ribs and the crab Rangoon, and both were also very good. The rice was just ok. I felt like it was missing something as I’m used to carrots and peas and/or pork being mixed but this rice only had onion and sprouts. I added my own soy sauce and it kicked it up a notch. Overall, really good and we will be back to try more options.
Was put down by who I assume was the owner because I don't eat pork. I ordered a combination plate and asked to substitute the egg roll and rice for vegetarian options (which was only a veg spring roll and vegetable fried rice) and he goes "okay so you want to change everything?" Which was so rude. When my food came it clearly had pork in it (which he at first denied) then he went in the back room, yelled at someone, then came back out over to my table and TOOK MY PLATE WITHOUT SAYING A WORD TO ME while I was mid eating a spring roll. Had the balls to say "Well see you tomorrow hunney" as I was walking out. I will never go back here or recommend this place to anyone. Awful business run by awful people.
Dragon Palace
The shrimp fried rice was the second worst I have ever had. First it was black rice too much soy sauce or what dried bland and the shrimp were dry and overcooked. I was shocked as previous reviews said the food here was good. I will not go back money wasted not happy. If you can't make fried rice good then there's no point trying anything else.
Ordered the crispy pork chops weren’t crispy at all pork chops weren’t fully cooked order was thrown together iin two take out bins rice was hard no vegetables on it expected me to come back to get the same thing after I live 30 minutes away never again with this place check if your plan is to get takeout
China Gourmet
I saw they had curry on the menu so I went for it and what I got was not curry in the slightest. You see red curry is a spicy thick and creamy red sauce usually made from a coconut milk base, served with chicken and rice. What I got was undercooked rubbery chicken slices on top of soggy assorted veggies you'd find in an order of mixed vegetables. I thought it was a mistake because... well.. it wasn't red curry! So I called and they assured me that chicken slices and vegatables with hot sauce IS red curry lmao The first pic how it usually looks The second is what I got....
The only Chinese food I’ll eat around here. It’s always hot delicious & like someone else mentioned they always get the order right. Reminds me of the Chinese food we got growing up in NY.
China Star II
China Star 2 is probably one of the better Chinese food places on the island. Honestly, the food is consistent which is what we care about. However, I would never get delivery, it should always be picked up. When it is picked up, it’s always hot, fresh and good. But this is the third time we’ve gotten a delivery that took about an hour, on a slow night where we live five minutes away. I called and was told 20 min before my food came that the food was done but they were waiting on a driver. So, guess what… my food came like warm with some things plain cold. A little sad. I can easily recommend if you do takeout, just don’t do delivery or your food is cold
I put the 4 stars on atmosphere on purpose. This place is more about the food. You go to this place for the good food. Granted the lady taking our order was lovely, kind, and patient as we were first time visitors from Washington State staying in the hotel in the back yard. But florescent lighting and ceiling tiles... This isn't sit down for your first date atmosphere. You get it to go and take your date to a beautiful location and blow them away with the delicious food. Our containers were full to the brim. The food is delicious. I have zero complaints about service or food. If you are craving Chinese food, you won't be disappointed.
Ching Tao Restaurant
We had vegetarian food there, was tasty, hot and good value for money. Portions were good size . Very friendly staff, ample parking . Just let them know spicy level
Ordered take out and this is some of the most tasteless food I've ever had. I'm so glad that I didn't spend much money because it was unappetizing. Also I'm pretty sure they dumped a whole pound of sugar into the crab ragoons.
Dragon Palace
Food is delicious! Traditional old school New England style Chinese food! Great big restaurant hidden in an office building. Just follow the signs. Once you sit you get complimentary wonton strips with the darkest duck sauce I've had. It looks black in the container. Comes out a dark brown. It is delicious! Hot and sour soup is perfect!!! The balance created with wine and vinegar give it the perfect sour flavors with just the right amount of heat and finished with sesame oil. Seriously one of the best! They still have old school egg rolls. The newer ones are made with bland cabbage. These are made with celery and pork and just the right amount of spice. Perfect! The shrimp with lobster sauce was also spot on. Fresh shrimp in a delicious sauce that balances flavor without being too salty. The fried rice was the darkest I've had without being salty. Overall this is a great restaurant that I highly recommend.
My husband and I decided to try this place tonight because of the good reviews. He ordered sushi and said it was okay, but that the yellow tail and salmon rolls he ordered had “less than vibrant” fish that they hid with spicy mayo. I had teriyaki chicken and fried rice, which came with a salad. The dressing for the salad was a sad, shelf-stable version of the normally delicious ginger dressing. The fried rice was extremely dark, so I thought it would be overseasoned and too salty, but it somehow tasted like nothing. It was really weird - no garlic flavor and not even any soy sauce flavor. The chicken was extremely tough. I had high hopes since it came out on a sizzling hot skillet, but it was inedible. The teriyaki itself was okay flavor-wise. I normally never speak up, but the food was actually so bad that I told the waitress. The waitress sent over the manager, but there didn’t seem to be any communication between the two of them because he just asked us if we needed anything else and then brought us the check. We didn’t even know he was the manager. When the waitress returned, she told us he was the manager and asked if he took anything off the bill (he didn’t). She apologized and said that if she takes anything off the bill, he gets mad at the end of the night. The experience was uncomfortable and weird and the food was really expensive for the low quality. I definitely recommend literally anywhere else.
Pagoda Inn
I moved to NK back in 1992 I have been coming here most of my life... best staff in the world so welcoming so positive and always at your beck and call....I hope that anyone that comes here gets what I'm talking about... everyone is family I could never ask for more out of a restaurant everyone that comes know each other so you'll always hear laughter somewhere...Danny the bartender the man love that guy always a great person to talk to on any given day bad or good he'll listen and that's just how everyone there is
Horrible & dirty, crab Rangoon had a funny taste, beef lo mein was oily I think l'm gonna be sick, here I go!
Taste of China
If there was a half a star option that's what I would rate it. Crab Rangoons dry with mostly air, and rice tasteless. First time ordering here and last, was very disappointed.
Best Chinese food in Rhode island...was on main Street East Greenwich for many years until moving to it's Exeter location. It's kinda out of the way and off the beaten path but totally worth the drive. Every time I'm back in town I stop here. If you don't know what to get start with the D1 and pork lomain.
JAYD BUN
The staff was so friendly, especially the owner Joe. He was so passionate and was recommending other dishes to me after we talked a little about what I like. I got a pork bun combo ($17.88). The buns were like a little bundle of joy. The outside was very soft and great to soak up any sauce. The inside was so juicy as well. The tomato noodle soup had an amazing broth. The noodles were fantastic and had that chewy, authentic texture. The quality is so top-notch here and I love that they care so much about what they offer customers.
My fiance and I came all the way from CT and were not disappointed at all. I am 9 months pregnant and have to say this food satisfied every craving I could imagine. The owner was incredibly nice, suggesting dishes to us and even directing us to some nice spots around town to hang out while we waited for the food. Every single dish was out of this world. The pork buns are an absolute must! We will definitely be coming back!
China Garden 華園
Every thing is delicious! This is our FAVORITE Chinese restaurant. My dad loves shrimp lo mein . My mom loves shrimp and lobster sauce. I like the chicken lo mein and the egg rolls are very tasty. This is delicious food, a large portion of food and a good price.
I first started going here just over a year ago and their chicken dishes were excellent. I was also happy to find a place with excellent pork fried rice, which has become somewhat of a rarity. Much to my dismay their chicken quality recently took a huge nosedive. The last five times I went there it was incredibly chewy and dry to the point where a lot of it was inedible. I hope they can fix the quality issue because I'd love to keep going here.
New Dragon
Every time I come to New Dragon, I have a great time. The food is fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The staff is friendly and professional, making sure everyone feels welcome. Service is quick, even when the place is busy. The manager goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel valued and cared for. You can tell they care about the customer experience. It’s a well-run restaurant with great food, a great atmosphere, a great patio, and a great bar! I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to come back!
I would give this place 10 stars if I could. General Tso’s and Chicken and Broccoli were both very good and large portions. They just added a patio and allowed us to bring our dog and took good care of him also with water and pets.
