New China
I believe I just found my Chinese place! We got the dragon and phoenix and chicken and broccoli. Coming from a family who also owns restaurants like this in a different state, I have to say that their chicken and broccoli was SPOT on. My boyfriend and I moved here three years ago and ate at over 30 Chinese places to find chicken and broccoli that tastes like what my mom makes, and I finally found it, and the best thing? It’s like 5 mins down the road from me! 100% yum
Every single time I order, they give me wrong food. EVERY TIME.I even verify it by showing the picture. I get "oh sorry, we will give you credit for next time". Doesn't help me this time, does it?? I'm not going there anymore.I tried to give another chance .like 4 times ..I'm done. It's too bad too cause the food is really good
Lucky Dragon Chinese Restaurant
Who is genuinely leaving good reviews for this place. This place has horrible service and food is not good. They had a handful of people waiting over 45 min to get their food tonight. I'm sure the board of health needs to pay a visit as they were leaving buckets of chicken out just sitting near the fryer. Going to get people sick from un sanitary practices. Tossed my food after a few bites not worth a hospital visit. They aren't storing the food properly and the lady up front has an attitude problem. When they say 10 mins you need to x3 it.. that how long it really takes them to make your food. Just a Poorly ran business 🥺. Also the atmosphere has mold and disgusting, look at the vents they never clean.
If I could give it a 0 I would. Probably at the top of my list of places to avoid. Weirdest and most bland Chinese food I've ever had in my life. I had 2 pieces of chicken and that was enough to not try the rest of the meal. Egg rolls are soggy and the rice tastes like it's been cooked in a pan that's never been washed. Worst $ I've spent on food in quite some time.
Beijing Tokyo
Very good food. easily the best in bowling green. black pepper chicken is perfect.
Seriously the best take-out style Asian food in all of Bowling Green. We've been to them all, and nothing comes close to the quality and taste of Beijing Tokyo. The prices are reasonable, and she makes very decent sushi, but mainly I come here for the fantastic Chinese food.
East Wok
Got the shrimp and brocolli combo on a Sunday. $13+. Took it home. Shrimp small and tasted funny. I asked for brocolli to be cooked well. Ended up barely cooked at all. Been eating their for years. Quality going downhill. Not sure I'll return after this.
We have ordered from here for years and unfortunately, over the last two years, East Wok has gone downhill. After a bad meal a few months ago, we decided not to order from here anymore. Last night, we forgot and ordered again. I guess it was a good reminder to never order from here. my husband had chicken with cashew and the only vegetable in there was celery. Very unappetizing. I wish we had taken photos before we threw the celery out. I ordered sesame tofu. And for the second time in several months, the tofu was very hard, over fried. I don’t eat egg rolls, but my husband says they’re not good. Unfortunate.
Fantastic Wok II
Inconsistent...I used to pick up my order on the way home from work when I commuted. Now I work remotely, so I get door dash. I put in the special instructions I only wanted meat, extra cashew nuts and mushrooms but my order was 80% celery and rice, plus they uncharged me for extra nuts. Also ordered a bottle of mountain dew, which I expected a 20oz but what I received was 16.9 oz. What am I paying for? When they get it right, it's good but it's so inconsistent I usually make my own at home or go elsewhere
Fast and easy. Cheap if you will. Two dishes and some egg rolls for 24$. It’s enough food to feed two people for 3-4 meals. I read some reviews. (Absolute garbage.) “they don’t put peas in their whatever dish.” Peas are from the Middle East moron. The food is good. The time is quick. People should be shamed for their terrible opinions. It’s good American Chinese.
Panda Express
Literally paid $20 for something that tastes like plain white rice. I hope you go out of business someday.
The price is high, obviously, because it is in an amusement park. Didn't have high expectations with the food quality, but the food was horrible and the offering was extremely limited. 3/4 entries were listed as spicy which made it hard with kids. Most entries was fried... but the fried rice wasn't "stir fried" at all. Will not do this again.
China Garden Buffet
The sweet & sour chicken was almost cold and tough. The sweet & sour sauce was barely warm. Same for the rice. The lady told me “get the chicken from the bottom if you want it to be warm”. Really? I refused to pay for a buffet that I could not eat. And then they would not give my mother a senior discount.
My family and I have been going to China Garden for many years and it's consistently our top choice. My momma passed away about a week and half ago, It was her favorite place, their peanut butter chicken and corn souffle-type dish was her favorite items. After she passed, I came into the restaurant and asked if we could get catering for after her funeral. They were so kind and did such an amazing job. They had the food fresh, hot and perfectly on time. I was absolutely so impressed with the service (as always) but extra with how kind and how delicious everything was. It took one important thing off our minds to deal with and I am so incredibly grateful. I just am so impressed with them even more now. I would like to express my family's gratitude as much as we can. Thank you.
Royal Wok Chinese Restaurant
Quality and quantity went down hill!! Bait and switch on prices! Order online for lunch $7.25. Opted to pay instore they charging me $7.95 now!! Claiming oh price increases!! Wtf!?!? You don’t advertise one price then change on pick up!! Quality is bad now and gave us crumps of bread chicken for general tso chicken when other places are real chicken. New Young’s down the street is way better and better quality!! Never come back here again!! They lost a customer!! Also they don’t included silverware anymore so we have to use your fingers! Don’t come here and there’s a reason they are rated so low! Go to new young’s down the street!! 1000% better on everything and serve real food!!
The food here was exceptional! I got it to go. I got the bourbon chicken and man was it delicious. I also got an order of crab Rangoon that comes in an 8 piece small. It also defiantly hit the spot! I would definitely eat here again and recommend to all the Important people in my life.
Chopsticks
When we are in Lake George ,this is the best Asian restaurant in town. American Chinese is better than Montreal.
A friend recommended Chopsticks so we stopped by on a Sunday night for take out. I eat Chinese about 4x a year and always try the Shrimp Lo Mein dish. I’ve driven by Chopsticks several times recently but never noticed it, maybe because half of their business sign has lightbulbs out that need replacing. We went inside and were greeted by a nice young man who spoke English very well. We placed our order and took a walk outside while we waited for our food. The dining area inside was clean and had about 6 tables to eat at. I would have taken a pic of the interior but there was one employee taking a break and having his dinner. I didn’t want to disturb him. They were swamped with orders! Phone was ringing and other customers were stopping in frequently to pick up their take out orders. Our food was ready in 15 minutes. My friend took his Cashew Chicken combo meal home and told me the next day that he was not happy with the food/recipe. I took 4 bites of my Shrimp Lo Mein after I got home and I also was disappointed with my meal. I’ve never had Shrimp Lo Mein so dark in color with such thick Lo Mein noodles. It was too dry and sticky even after I added hot mustard and soy sauce to it. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our meals from Chopsticks, but we may give them another try in the future and order other food options next time. The restaurant itself doesn’t deliver but DoorDash delivers for them.
China Fun
I ordered a lunch special and got my order wrong the first time. I understand people have bad days it’s whatever. But on the lunch special it came with the side of pork fried rice and an egg roll. He tells me that wasn’t part of the special. So fine… I go about my day. As I’m eating my food this piece of steel wool is under my chicken. Food was mid but not something I’d recommend.
Ordered egg foo young which comes with gravy. Any other Chinese place give gravy separate . These jokers didn't provide any gravy and put some sauce on the egg foo young . On top of that there was broccoli in the egg foo young lol I'm sorry never again . Rice was a day old and overall food is too high for it not to be up to par.
Hong Kong Palace
I've been here a few years ago and wanted to try it again. Love the fact that it was a dine in environment. We were completely satisfied. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Fried noodles a but stale but everything else was amazing. Reminds me of an old school spot I grew up with in The Bronx. The taste was somewhat familiar..authentic. It's one of the best Chinese restaurants we've been to in the Hackettstown/ Budd Lake area! Definitely will return.
Food is nothing like the original owner of the restaurant. It's Christmas day that I'm trying the food for the 1st time under new ownership and honestly, it's really not good at all. Wonton soup, steamed dumplings, shrimp lo mein, chicken Mei fun and an egg roll. No taste really to any of the dishes and had to wait an additional 30 minutes from the pick up time they gave me when I called in the order. New owners updated/ remodeled the inside. I felt like I was in a cafeteria.
Hunan Wok
Amazing food, usually Chinese food can make my stomach a little bit upset but this place has been perfect and consistent… so far i haven’t had an upset stomach from it, the staff are very polite and even gave us some free extras! The food is great, and the general tsos specifically is exceptional.
Ok I'm a stickler when food is labeled pt or qt. The Quart Chow Fun container measures 24 oz to the brim. If overfilled it may get to 32 oz. But it was not overfilled. I've seen this as a trend in Chinese restaurants in the area. So Your Kitchen Hampton is the the better value for regular dishes. I loved the establishment under the prior owner a few years ago. But currently it's not for me with other options around. Had Beef Chow Fun and Chicken Eggplant garlic sauce. Chow Fun was loaded with beef, but dish is not a quart. Same with chicken eggplant garlic sauce. Both tasted on the sweeter side for me than expected. Egg Plant was Chinese eggplant vs western variety which is a plus.
