Hy-Vee Chinese
Love getting the hibachi, when i can get it. Most of the time I just get ignored and told "hold on" by the kid working there who wants me to wait 10 minutes for him to cook the last person's order from scratch before he is able to grab the ingredients to start mine. But if you have all day to wait, it's good hibachi...
From my cashew chicken trail series of reviews. It’s grocery store cashew chicken, but it’s still not the worst. The cashew chicken was better than the soggy orange chicken (orange chicken get’s 1 out of 5 in case your curious). The rice was a weird in between of steamed and fried. Chicken breading was nice, but chicken was a touch dry, probably from sitting in the warming tray. Sauce was really sweet, which is not what I think the lead flavor should be. Side options were plentiful, and the pot stickers was a nice change to the usual options.
Panda Express
Came in for first time, Eric was awesome and took his time. He got me the the best meal and saved me a few dollars in the process.
Omg! What a great trip through the drive thru thanks to Eric!! He was the best! Took my order so happily even complimented me when I came to the window! It was so nice to leave a drive thru feeling uplifted and in a good mood . This experienced reminded me there are kind people in the world!! You'd better hang on to him! He is THE BEST!!!!
Triple Eight's Express and Szechwan Style
I ordered food from their new location. I wanted pork fried rice instead of fried rice. I asked if there was an upcharge for it, and was told yes, $2.99, no problem. They sent the order without the fried rice, which I was charged for! I also asked for a “free” egg roll, for an order over $25. And was told no problem. I was charged for that too! So basically I got screwed over for $5.?!!! I will never go back, even though they are right down the street from me!
I had an amazing experience at 888 Restaurant! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so inviting. Sasha, our server, was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. The rice noodles with cabbage were fantastic, and I tried the spicy chicken—wow, it was incredible! Definitely coming back soon!
Panda Express
One of my absolute favorite restaurants, if not my favorite, at the food court of Plaster Student Union. They serve really great Chinese chicken, and just as good spring rolls.
Hard to compete with the dozens of local places ( that are even usually cheaper ) but the food is good even if you don't ignore the competition!
CreAsian
This used to be a great restaurant, but new owners don’t take care of it, it is dirty inside and unkept outside. Shame, this was once one of my five star places, wont be back. Didn’t have appetizers other than Rangoon.
The food is great, but there is a discrepancy between the menu and what the cooks give you with the Orange Chicken. The menu says that Orange Chicken comes with garlic and scallions (green onions), but every time I've order the food, they don't put scallions on it unless I tell the front staff. When my favorite front staff is there, I tell them to make sure they put scallions on there when I shouldn't have to have the front staff remind the cooks about their own menu online or in-store. If my favorite person isn't there, they sometimes charge me for scallions even though it's supposed to come with it by their own menu's description online and in-store.
Panda Express
Haven't been here in years. Very delicious, friendly staff, decent prices, clean restrooms.
I love this place. The food is always great, the staff are always so nice, and the line always moves quickly. Today, my wife got a batch of orange chicken fresh off the stove and it smelled amazing. I come here about once a week, and I don't plan to break that trend any time soon.
China King
Got the shrimp lo mein with pork fried rice lunch special from here. The noodles were bussin with flavor they were cooked well and the shrimp were decent too. The side was the pork fried rice which was just right as well. The juice from the noodles soaked into the rice making each bite even better. Overall the meal was an 8.7, was surprised by the solid meal I got here and will return when I'm back in the area.
A Hidden Gem for Chinese Cuisine in Springfield** **Review:** If you're looking for authentic Chinese food in Springfield, look no further than China King. Their menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, from classic favorites like Crab Rangoon and Sweet and Sour Chicken to flavorful noodle dishes like Shrimp Lo Mein. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with family or friends. Whether you dine in or order takeout, China King consistently delivers high-quality food and great service. It's definitely one of my go-to spots for Chinese cuisine in Springfield.
Panda Express
One of the better pandas I've been to, very clean, and the food display was awesome. Even though it was busy, the food trays on display were full and freshly stocked. They seem to be well staffed. The food tasted good. We will eat here again next time we pass through this town.
A Welcoming atmosphere, Food Service was so prompt. Staff members are very kind. We used for dine in, temperature was little chilly for me but tables are far enough apart, and cleaned.
XO Taste Express
Grab & Go type restaurant inside Fresh World (Asian & International Grocery Store) serving Chinese barbecue. Their crispy pig (heo quay) is the best in the area, perfectly crisp and seasoned. We also love the salt and pepper duck; the sauce that comes with it is to die for. They sell vietnamese desserts and bbq roast pork buns too, but these are known to sell out fast.

Tomato Garden Chinese Restaurant
Hello i place and order today my food came in five minutes after placing my order which the food was disgusting the rice taste old and shrimp lo mein was awful also tasted old.
I spent $50 tonight on the worst Chinese food that was so-so. The egg rolls were all breading and dry. My children and I love egg rolls and we were all disappointed. My daughter ordered the orange chicken and it was horrible!!!I I had the pepper steak and it was bland and just ok. My son had the chicken and broccoli and he said his was good. This is the last time I will order from this place. I can't believe how bad the food was. I called to let the owner know and he didn't seem to care. To top if off, the fortune cookies were stale and soft, not crunchy, and had a funny taste. What is going on with this place? Never again will I eat here! I wouldn't say I like giving negative reviews, but I felt I needed to this time.
Hunan Spring
Came in for lunch at 1:30. I ordered from the lunch special menu which has very fair prices. Food was mediocre but when it came to paying I was disappointed in the service. My friend and I got our checks and paid. Our server waited at our table for like 5 minutes, and was asking us for a tip. We gave him $3 and he said “that’s it” (our bill was only $18). We gave him one more dollar and he was still waiting at the table. Didn’t appreciate him being unprofessional like this, I personally work at a 4-star restaurant and couldn’t imagine what my boss would say to me if I was begging for a tip.
I’m mainly reviewing for a specific dish which I look for, their mapo tofu, because I enjoy it specifically. From photos, I hoped it would be more flavorful but it was more on the bland side: not really a strong sense of the mala spicyness, nor the flavor of the bean sauce. Their rice was also unfortunately clumpy and somewhat harder, see photos attached. The ongoing search for better mapo tofu continues!
Noodle Eighty Eight Springfield
It was lovely! The food was delicious and plenty of dishes to choose from. The service was wonderful. The waitress was always there refilling our drinks and bringing our next dish. The dining room was very calming and I really liked the canvas prints on the walls. The scallion pancakes and shu Mai were delicious!
This hidden gem! My husband and I had the best experience we are serious foodies and big on ratings We searched and found this amazing 👏 restaurant our FAVORITE in Springfield pa from the first bite to the last everything we ordered was superb! The waitress was a superwoman 🦸♀️ she took our order made sure we had enough of this and that then she made her way around the restaurant giving others the same treatment I was impressed 👌 we usually go to a Michelin Star restaurant in Cherry Hill 🍒 but due to traffic we settled for NOODLE EIGHTY EIGHT and boy were we surprised 😮 because the food was DIVINE here's some pictures of what we ordered and we had enough to take home because the portions were so big 😀 we truly enjoyed ourselves and they will see our face from now on !!
