First time. Sea food Soup was good. We also got chapped lobster š¦ for 75$ I isnāt like it. Need to take out the meat with my hands and taste wasnāt much great.
Prices are a bit steep but the food I had was fantastic. Got the lobster (gingery) and the snow pea leaves (garlicky). The price per head (ie, just me) was probably higher than necessary since I splurged on the lobster after getting lucky at the roulette table. Was worth it, but the lobster could definitely be split by 2-3 people as the main protein.
Temple Star Chinese Restaurant
this place is gas. literally the best sesame tofu iāve ever had. i cannot stress enough how good this place is. iād include a photo of my food, but i ate it all. 11/10.
I usually grab their steamed dumplings, unfortunately I was not the one who grabbed my food tonight (8/16/24) it was a Friday I can understand if they are busy. It seems the steamed dumplings are well over cooked on one side. Itās insane. Iām disappointed tbh but this one time wonāt stop me from coming here. Again Iām a little disappointed and dissatisfied
Mandarin House
Wonton soup is top notch. Get it at least once a month! The chicken garlic and other orders are also really good, and especially excellent for the price
Ordered General Tsoās Chicken and a Sweet and Sour Chicken platters. The chicken was good on both platters however the rice was kind of hard. The boneless rib strips were delicious too. Definitely one of the best Chinese places Iāve ordered from. Everything came super fast and the order was correct.
Lee's Kitchen
The food was not bad. I will come again next time. There are some other new food that is on the new menu. I'm enjoy the shrimp with lobster sauces. Sweet kind are boneless spare ribs ( not frieddhard need to told them), crab wonton. The scallion pancake is not bad.
Best food I've had in a while. The people there are kind and friendly. I think what some people don't understand about Chinese restaurants is how the work is difficult, with long busy hours. Workers need to rush to cook, rush through meals, and stand for many hours. They don't intend to be rude, but it is tiring and busy! I appreciate the good service I've had, will visit again ^_^
Oriental Kitchen
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Iāve been eating egg foo young since I was a little girl and have never had no problems. But look at this BS. Yes, that is a giant piece of eggshell š¤¦šæāāļø Also they gave me scallion pancakes instead of funnel cake. Yāall couldāve at least replaced it with another dessert like wtf.
I enjoy ordering from here because it's always good I haven't had a bad order of food yet. the sesame Sesame Chickenč麻鸔 is very filling with the white rice. and their egg rolls are sooooo goodš„“š¤¤ I would highly recommend the Cheese steak Roll ( 1 )ēčå· it thicker and filled and the Pizza Roll (1)ę«čØå· is a normal size that is filled also.
Ming River Chinese Restaurant
i ordered beef and broccoli, 4 wings and shrimp lo mein. food quality is not good. wings and beef were a gray hue and just had a dirty quality. I would be very careful choosing this place. Delivery was really fast
I had a job on Susquehanna and Hope and noticed how much foot traffic the Ming River Chinese store brings in. This place had 3-5 customer every 5 minutes. I know a good Chinese restaurant when I see one. This is one! First you have to order your food over the phone. I ordered shrimp and broccoli with fried rice and vegetables. The food was really good. The sauce for the food wasnāt enough to mix into my rice equally, the rice wasnāt fried at all, it was just yellow rice. All in all Iāll definitely come back here to give another meal a try.
New No. 1 Kitchen Chinese Food To Take Out
Ordered 2 cheeseburger platters and a homemade ice tea, both burger buns were oddly burnt along with the patties and one had 2 bottom buns. Our tea was halfway full and overly sweet. Overall a horrible first experience. Would not come here again honestly
Horrible...lady is just rude without reason, the wait is not bad and the food not always bad
Number One Kitchen
They dumb.. I ordered popcorn chicken and fries, I get there and no fries so I come back to ask if I can add some and he say no more fries.. a lady behind me proceeded to ask how long her cheese fries will be finished he said 2 minutes. I asked so you got cheese fries but no regular fries? He got mad and spoke what ever he speaks. Common sense not so common.
Paid 7.50 for this & wouldnāt ever order again. What am I supposed to do with 5 tostones !?
Orient Express
I donāt understand how anyone can give this place a bad review theyāre good is great and big portions for good price
My favorite Asian food around campus. Yes, there is a surcharge if you do not pay by cash, but this happens to most other food trucks and many restaurants outside campus. Not sure of the reason behind it , but this is certainly not something that only happens at this place.
Oriental Sun
What kind of bland boiled chicken you putting in my chicken fried rice. Ordered a combo platter that comes with an egg roll just gave me an old cold spring roll instead. Ordered spring rolls too and they came warm but was literally just the same as the cold one. Ordered wings they gave no hot sauce. Left no utensils in the bag. Yeah just garbage if you live close by just go to Chen long on front street. Step it up you canāt be restaurant in Philly serving mediocre food.
Easily the worst Chinese food I've had in Philly so far. My vegetable lo mein smelled putrid. I think one of the veggies they used must have been rotten. I couldn't even eat it. The other dishes I got (wonton soup, dumplings, house special lo mein, egg roll) were all so mid. They were edible but lacked so much flavor. I'm so mad I wasted my big order out meal for the month on this place.
China House
I literally just ordered food from here my order was 32$ I asked for fried hard chicken wings, they all was soggy I ordered shrimp lo mein it was cold and no taste my daughter got fries with her chicken and they were cold to the touch my son ordered shrimp fried rice some rice was hot some rice was cold as if all the food was just warmed up in microwave!! My white rice I expected to be really hot and that was cold as well so I called and the gentleman said I came to get my order 20 min after I then told him I ordered at 4:52 my son got back to the restaurant hat 5:10 which then they allowed my son to call cause my card was locked I live 1 block away and itās real nice out today so y is there no heat to my food!!! I donāt recommend no one eating here because I really believe my food was warmed in the microwave we all know how that food taste!! I had to give a star or I couldnāt write my experience even tho they donāt deserve it I gave the food to my dogs!!!
Was going there alot because I liked there rice however the last time I had it,it wasn't right. Also inconsistencies on when you spend over $30. Also the chicken wings are pre-cooked and refried. The lady is nice sometimes but seems to forget everyday customers.
Maple Star
Im dry heaving as i type .. i donāt know what that black thing is, could be a mushroom looks disgusting dont want to find out.. but THE SHRIMP??? me personally i dont like shrimp doodoo.
I ordered from Maple Star with high expectations. I should have made a āwish upon a starā, prior to ordering. My order of chicken Pad Thai, Roasted Pork Mei Fun, and Chicken Mei Fun was vis service from DoorDash. Letās start with a first, and the worst. The Chicken Pad Thai had ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR WHATSOEVER. I donāt know what the liquid used was- it couldāve been water. It was so bland, and tasteless, Maple Star officially served the worst Pad Thai I have ever tasted. Thus, there was only one conclusion- toss it down the garbage disposal. The Roasted Pork Mei Fun and Chicken Mei Fun were average. IN COMPARISON to Maple Starās Pad Thai, they were superior. However, though the quantity of food you receive from Maple Star is on par with other Chinese restaurants, Thai restaurants, or any Asian cuisine, the quality is AVERAGE. Even setting your expectations low for Pad Thai without the use of MSG wonāt save that dish. Maple Star, the food was very disappointing, and the most unidentifiable star anyone could see on a cloudy night.
