Peach Garden
I have been eating at peach garden for years and up until last night it’s been a decent experience. The staff has always been kind etc. The meals have been a bit expensive compared to other places but I never really minded because the food was always fresh. We had a delivery last night and it showed up earlier than expected which was good news. The food at first glance was overcooked and burnt in some spots and while eating it didn’t taste very fresh but I assumed it was because it had been overcooked and didn’t feel quite right after eating a small portion of the meal In the middle of the night I woke with vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea that has not subsided we are working on about 12-13 hours of these symptoms. I urge the staff there to review their food safety protocols so this doesn’t continue to happen.
Everything in the picture amounted to a total of $85. Everything was pretty standard American Chinese food. I thought the egg rolls stood out as really good but other than that nothing was stellar. The general Tso didn’t have much sauce, the pepper chicken did not have much chicken and wasn’t that spicy, the homeward boiled dumplings were pretty bland and the dumpling dough was very thick. The lo mein and fried rice were good but were lacking something in flavor. I do want to say that they had EXCELLENT customer service and called us to let us know our order was ready. The guy on the phone is friendly and easily understandable. They do not take a cash discount. All in all glad we tried but we probably won’t be back.
Golden China Restaurant
Cheap with lots of leftovers for later. The beef with broccoli was good with tender beef. The seaweed salad was excellent after thawing. I was disappointed it came as a huge block of ice. I ordered my kids the French fries which came in a huge bag for only $2.50. The orange chicken had great flavor but seemed overcooked at the ends. The Szechuan chicken was average. I ordered the highest spicy level and there was no heat to it. I also wish it came with white rice as opposed to fried. The wonton soup had great flavor. The egg roll was crispy but way too greasy.
Very good Chinese take-out! The buffet used to be as well but I don’t know if it’s reopened yet or not (it was closed as a result of Covid and remained so for years afterward - and still was, the last time I checked anyway).
Great Taste Buffet
Good selection of delicious . I did see any selections run out. The hostess welcomed us and got our drinks. Our dirty dishes were promptly whisked away. The only negative is that the decor has seen better days, but it is kept very clean.
When you walk into this place and see the nice warm food and ripped apart chairs turn around instantly and go to Arby’s as they make you pay for this horrendous food before you even get the chance to think about dine and dashing from how bad it is most the food hasn’t even been touched in hours none of it is fresh the rice taste like cauliflower rice zero flavor the kitchen is super dirty if you try and get a new plate from how gross the food is and try something new they will charge you for washing ,price isn’t bad about 12$ a person but there is better costing buffets around if it’s all you can Afford it’s alright food but this place has lower quality than McDonald’s
China East Chinese Restaurant
I have had 2 experiences here. The first was below par. I decided to try it again. I ordered the Sweet and sour pork. I was so disappointed. I sent my entire platter home with my guest to feed it to her dog. It was so overly cooked, you could see the meat and it was black. I tried to eat a few but it was like eating gizzards. Luckily I was able to eat the soup and the noodles. $20 for that. 👎 Will not give it another try.
Food was good. Had to get straw's myself even asking for some. Waitress asked us if we were ready to order 5 times within a minute. Sweet and sour chicken was really crunchy
China Fun Buffet
I recently visited The China Fun Buffet, and it was a mixed experience. First off, the decor is absolutely dreadful—outdated and tacky, making the whole place feel unwelcoming. The floors were dirty, the tables weren't much better, and don't even get me started on the restroom—it was downright filthy. As for the food, it was incredibly disappointing. The 'food' was as bland as a frozen Chinese dinner from Kroger, lacking any real flavor or freshness. Definitely not what you'd expect from a buffet. The only redeeming quality was the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and really tried to make the best of what they had to work with. If it weren't for them, I probably wouldn't even give this place 3 stars. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
I visited this little chinese buffet today. At first glance i wasnt sure about the place, small, simple styling, and the buffet i was there for looked nearly empty. The friendly staff quickly had us seated and im so glad i stayed and will continue visit this gem. Since only a few people were in dining at the time the staff was only putting out a few servings worth of each dish on the buffet at a time and thats why it looked nearly empty. As soon as something ran out it was quickly replaced with a few more servings of fresh and hot food. I much prefer this to having a full buffet that just sits on the bar for hours. And im talking delicious food, constantly hot and fresh and a real reminder that good food doesn't just come from fancy 5 star restaurants. I will be returning next time im in the area and i just wanted to write this review so i can let others know if they get there during slow hours and see the buffet nearly empty like i did, dont be fooled, it is hot and fresh and quickly refilled, treat yourself and stay💯💯
Romano's Pizzeria.
Incredibly rude cashier claimed to be working here at a pizza shop for 4 years got into a large argument where she insulted me and my children. What’s started this? I was waiting at the counter for a few minutes without being greeted . A kind lady from the back came out and tried to get the cashier to help me, and she lied and said we had just gotten to the front . When I said, “no in fact we have been here for a few minutes” she started screaming and arguing. The other staff seemed afraid and as though they are used to her behavior. She had absolutely no regard for any possible repercussions for her behavior and it was an embarrassment. DO NOT GO HERE.
Restaurant staff were just busy narrating their own stories to each other. They are least interested in sales. I have never seen pizzas in such a bad condition. Super unclean pizza store along with the food court.
New East Star
Chicken Chow Mein and Pork Fried Rice were excellent. Both had plenty of meat and veggies. Will definitely make return trips!
The food is 👍 and so is the service.
Rongcheng Asian Cuisine
Excellent food service and a peaceful place yo dine!!
This is what I have personally experienced. Maoxuewang is very authentic, authentic and has sufficient portions.
Lotus Inn
The vegetable fried rice was a pale yellow and had no flavor. As for the vegetables in the rice, mostly large pieces of broccoli. The Crab Rangoon also flavorless and the shell tasted like old frying oil. No dipping sauce provided for the Crab Rangoon. Only accepts cash.
Have been taking out from Lotus Inn for many years now. It is a very nice family owned business. Everyone is very polite every time. The food is really good, and the prices are not skyrocketed, like everywhere else.
Bamboo House
Attendum ti my full review. Oh, and no fortune cookie in my to-go bag! Isn't that the other important thing we expect from our Chinese restaurant treat?
Delicious egg roll & wonton soup. can’t wait to try more off their menu.
Ming Garden 3
The food is great. I have been going here for years. But the pricing has gotten out of control. I use to use this place 2 or 3 times a week. I only now visit once every 2 weeks. $12.00 for lunch is crazy. I use to spend $6.00 with a drink.
Ordered the pork fired rice, chicken wings and shrimp with broccoli. Overall the food was great and the workers at the store were very welcoming and friendly. Very impress with the tastiness of the food I had. Highly recommend. 🍱
Alaska Pete's
I cannot praise this place enough. From the moment my wife and I stepped through the door, we felt truly welcomed. The hostess kindly inquired about our seating preference, indoors or outdoors, displaying a delightful level of hospitality. The ambiance, the background music, and the staff were all exceptional. Our waitress, Angelina, provided attentive service and promptly delivered our drinks, appetizers, and main courses. The food exceeded all expectations. I savored a perfect NY steak while my wife enjoyed the baked salmon. We both shared our dishes, appreciating the chef's culinary expertise in preparing them to perfection. Special mention must be made of the superb chef who truly impressed us with their skills. To complement the meal, the bartender crafted a delicious Pina Colada that I thoroughly enjoyed. I wholeheartedly recommend Alaska Pete's to anyone visiting the Poconos. I look forward to returning time and time again, eager to introduce this gem to friends and family on our next trip. Discovering this place has been a delightful surprise, and I only wish we had found it sooner.
Josh was absolutely amazing. Great service. Was serving 6 tables at once and never missed a beat. Food was deliciously prepared. The filet mignon was like butter. Some of the best French onion soup I’ve ever ever ate. And the lobster tail was amazing.
