Dragon Garden III
Stopped in to get some sauteed broccoli to go with a sushi roll from down the road. Was NOT disappointed! I ordered a side of crab rangoons to try as well, because for the price, I couldn't pass it up. They were so good! My boyfriend ate most of the bag, and we went right bag in for a second! The owners are very kind, and you can tell she puts a lot of love into her food. The taste is excellent. Wonderful place. Highly recommended you give them a try. I'll be back for sure!
What a Gem š!! Wonderful service, Delicious food, and great prices!! It may have been our first time but most certainly not our last !š«¶š¤
Dragon 168 Chinese Restaurant
It was my first day in Connecticut. I randomly chose Dragon 168 for some Chinese food. I'm glad I did. Everything was delicious. I haven't had good Chinese food in a long time and thus made up for all the bad. I will definitely go back, and I highly recommend it . We had House Mei fun, chicken and broccoli, General Tso"s chicken, chicken fried rice, fried chicken wings, Krab Rangoon, and egg rolls. Generous helpings, friendly staff, 5 starts!!
All the food tasted the same my spicy chicken was not spicy and bland the beef and broccoli tasted the same as my chicken bland stir fried rice wasn't seasoned either. Despite the food the service was great. Just needs more seasoning
Lin's Garden
I have been a customer of Linās Garden for 15 years I called at 3:30 and placed a big order Was told 2 hour delivery Ok i said 45 minutes later no delivery Called and was told they donāt have enough drivers And it would be another hour at least I said why didnāt you call me No answer I told her cancel the order and I will find myself a new Chinese RESTAURANT OH OK she said Good bye Linās Garden
Literally some of the worst general tso's chicken Ive ever had in my life. Too much vinegar, bizarre sauce, poor quality meat, and no real breaded coating. Came fast tho
China Town Buffet
Sunday evening 6:30p.m. The frog legs are the best they have ever been, crunchy outside, soft and juicy inside. The salad bar is outstanding. Everything is hot and fresh. Very clean and service was great. The roast melts in your mouth. I gotta go, they just put more frog legs out.
It's hard to find a buffet where they do it right the chicken on a stick was perfect the crispy chicken was loaded with excellent flavor these folks make the food perfect I highly recommend this location
Hunan Gourmet
Hunan Gourmet under new management is truly outstanding! I recently visited and had the honor of being the very firstāand so far, the onlyāperson to order their Pineapple Fried Rice, and it was incredible. The dish was a perfect combination of tender shrimp and chicken, sweet pineapple, crunchy cashew nuts, and a hint of curry powder that tied everything together beautifully. It was as delicious as it was unique, and I felt like I had discovered a hidden gem on their menu! I also tried the Pad Thai (gluten-free), and it was equally impressive. The noodles were cooked to perfection, mixed with egg, fresh bean sprouts, and scallion, and topped with crunchy ground peanuts. The flavors were spot-on, and Iām thrilled to say I donāt have to travel far for amazing Thai food anymoreāHunan Gourmet has it all right here, And don't even get me started on the eggrolls! The new management has brought a fresh energy to this restaurant, with a menu that perfectly blends Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the ambiance made for a wonderful dining experience. If you havenāt been yet, youāre missing out on a true culinary treasure. I canāt wait to go back and try more!
They always greet us when we come in, always soo friendly even when its a little busier!! The food is amazing same as the presentation! Always looks so beautiful and taste just as good as it looks!! The place looks so nice so relaxing, they usually turn on some music, overall everything is amazing!! And for the price this is greatt!! Went with my friend, we both got dessert main meals, drinks, and some small additions !! Even when we would do delivery we would get sooo much for the price its amazing!!
Number One Chinese Restaurant
I ordered through Doordash and placed my order as soon as they opened at 11 AM. My food was delivered quickly without issue. The food was not great. The Sesame Chicken was too chewy as if it had been reheated or overcooked. The pork fried rice was bland and tasted a little stale as if it was yesterday's rice. The Scallion Pancakes were fried to a crisp, not soft and chewy like they should be. The Barbecue Spare Ribs were good. They were moist and the meat was tender with the right amount of sauce. Overall, I will not be ordering from here again.
Always a pleasure speaking to the lady that runs this place. Had the food for the first time tonight, and it was absolutely amazing. Best chinese food around
Chang Mao
After reading the mixed reviews, we were initially apprehensive about dining here. However, our cravings for Chinese food led us to give it a try regardless as we were only passing through this town tonight. The reviews did prepare us well for what to expect, particularly regarding the customer service. While we did find the service efficient and prompt, I can empathise with the reviewers who felt it lacked āwarmth and hospitalityā. Despite this, our food portions were spot on, the food was flavourful and fresh. We enjoyed our meals and took the time to thank the cooks for our delicious meals.
The rice was good even though they charge extra for brown riceš. Liked my fortune. Other than that it was inedible. The chicken used was disgusting. Must be the thigh or something. Tough and fatty. Utterly flavorless. Threw it away. For the money they charge they canāt even use decent chicken. Iāll never go back
China Buffet
August 12, 2024 - Context is important , when reviewing a ā Buffet ā ! My wife and I go out to restaurants of all shapes , cuisines, and countries. Understanding the nature & operation of a Buffet helps when passing judgement. 1. A buffet is not a restaurant in reality. 2. Buffets are for serving clients quickly! 3. Buffets offer many entrees & sides 4. Tough to keep hot entrees hot & fresh 5. Food consistency changes as it sits 6. Goal, offer quantity fast, quality suffers * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * My advice is to avoid the breaded entrees! Sitting under heat lamps ruins the dish such as sesame chicken, General Tsoās Chicken, Mongolian Beef, breaded Shrimp is a NO ! Stay with entree meats that were cooked in hot oil & veggies. Try to watch as the staff adds a fresh tray , and run for that option! Itās fresh and the consistency is perfect out of the kitchen! Fried rice is generally fine the 1st hour or so under a heat lamp. The soups are OK, ingredients donāt include dairy /milk . . . Prefer not to let sit long! I like a hot & sour soup. . . then I add mushrooms, bits of pork, or chunks of chicken, or shrimp š¤ to kick up that choice with hot sauce! Veggies are suppose to be crunchy in most Chinese entrees! Usually cooked or steamed quickly. Folks in the U.S. over cook veggies to mush! I guess itās tradition or poor dental health. As veggies sit under heat lamps the crunchy crispness in veggies are lost. To wrap up, a Chinese Buffet will NOT give you the freshness , crispness , and quality of a true cuisine of a top Chinese Restaurant. So . . . our experience was reasonable to my expectations of a buffet. Quick , with lots of choices. Go into a buffet . . . Knowing the parameters. Thanks to our server, and cashier at the front desk, Diane! Her family has owned & operated this China Buffet for 12 years! Maybe your family might transform this into a top notch Chinese Restaurant! Customers would have to wait 15 to 30 minutes for a chef prepared meal in one of the eight true Chinese Regional Cuisines! ššš¼šš¼šš¼šš¼
I had the all you can eat buffet & it was very tasty & a great variety. The restaurant us very clean & the wait staff was great! It will be my new buffet choice.
New Star Restaurant
I agree with the reviewer below. This was the first time my family had gone to this restaurant since itās long delayed reopening after closing for years. They reduced the menu new smaller menu and half of what my family liked is no longer on it The egg drop soup was practically broth, very little "Drop" just "stock". The broccoli was mushy and had an extremely sweet taste as well. None of the food tastes like how it did in the past, I would say a lot of this might be a result of the new automated cooking system they are using. Seems to be more young people working at this place now, A lot more interested in taking bong rips out the back door rather than cooking the food. This had been a family of 10's favorite Chinese restaurant for a very long time. Very few of the original people are working here, I feel it was bought out. I wonāt be going back.
We were pretty excited to see the reopening, but also very disappointed. I'm not sure the new style they use for semi-automated cooking is working. The food quality was much lower than to be expected. This is not just based on my one time there but also a friend of mine going twice. Hopefully they improve.
Fuji Restaurant
My fiancĆ© and I loyally order from here when we are craving Chinese food or sushi. Not only does the food always hit the spot, but their service is amazing. When I informed the woman working at the front of my gluten sensitivity, she took time to run through every ingredient and its contents and triple checked there would be no contamination (who knew imitation crab had gluten?). They took my sensitivity very seriously and Iām extremely grateful for that, as this service is rare.
I have gotten take out at Fuji for years and the food was always terrific. I got take out today from there and was extremely disappointed. Firstly any pork fried rice does not have carrots in it.! Fillers, no onion no green onion like it used to have.Terrible! Spare ribs very fatty and tasteless . Singapore mei fun was under cooked curry. 2 shrimp all chicken. Not the same. Are their different owners now?? Seems so. Very disappointed
Hungry panda
I enjoyed the food and service! Order online and submit order. They come over to your table to confirm your order and it only took about 10 mins for the food to come out! At first I was unsure by this process but I like it! They were very prompt with refilling drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. Bathroom was clean as well :) Cheapish Chinese food but good!
I regret to say I ate quite a bit of this (beef w broccoli). I refrigerated the meal overnight literally opened it the next day at 10am the food smelled and looked rotten my entire home was filled with the smell of rotting meat. Absolutely disgusting i almost threw up from the smell alone. My partner also had a meal (general tso) but instantly realized his meat was raw. I regretfully was not able to take a picture of the tso. Stay far away from this one.
Deli Garden
Current name China star. They cook real Cantoness food. And serving wine. Big screen TV by the bar.
A family favourite! Nothing fancy to look at but the food does the talking. Always good
