Panda Express
My wife and i eat here quite frequently and the service is always hot and if they are low on a certain kind they make fresh for us thats good customer service always very polite very clean keep it up 👍
For starters, this location is SLOW! I ordered through doordash. My dasher communicated with me the entire time. He apologized for how long it took due to the restaurant. Then i get my food and the chow mein is dry. Bone dry. It literally was just noodles somewhat cooked noodles. Now the bejing beef was right at that point of perfect. So it was edible. But would have been better if it was all the way done. So I give this location a 1 star. I love Panda and this was my first bad experience in all the years I started eating Panda.
China King
The food here was really good 👍 there was no one here when I came in, and I could hear them making it after I ordered it. It came out fast, and piping hot lunch only cost me 9 bucks. I wish they had a drink fountain, but for the price, it's still 5 stars
We just made a $$$ order, and on our way to pick it up, we missed their calls. No messages were left from either of the two successive calls. When we arrived 10 minutes after our "assigned" time for pickup, the restaurant was closed and nobody could be reached at the number. Additionally, it was 5:51pm when we arrived for pickup, and Google states the restaurant closes at 8:30pm. What in the world? So disappointing.
China Garden
Waited 45 mins for our take out order. Was told that 2 dinners was $20.xx. card was charged. Half hour later card adjustment was made and I was charged an additional $4. Woke up next morning to ANOTHER adjustment of ANOTHER $5. $30 for 2 of the cheaper dinners is outrageous and changing my card more and more is illegal!!!! NEVER GO TO AGAIN
I ordered general tso’s and got sweet and sour chicken, general tso’s has brown sauce NOT RED SAUCE when I called about about the mixup The woman who answered told me I was wrong and hung up on me I tried calling back twice and went straight to voicemail Worst 23 bucks I ever spent That’s for sure! Next time I’ll drive the 20 minutes to “peeking cook” in wellston this isn’t the first bad experience I’ve had here if I could give them zero stars, I would don’t waste your money here!!
Peking Gourmet II
I went to this buffet location on a Friday night (seafood night). Question...Where's the SEAFOOD?? This location seems a bit run down. Not enough food trays available for a "buffet" serving. When trays emptied out, it took a while before they were refilled. I waited for a certain tray to be filled since I walked in, and it was finally brought out at the time I was ready to leave. If you are looking for a "real" buffet location, this is definitely not it.
We ordered take out for lunch. Two of us shared the Roast Pork Lo Mein and two spring rolls. The total with tax was $14. There was a lot of meat with the noodles. I wish there were more vegetables though. The spring rolls were the best. Our meal was very filling and we both enjoyed it. UPDATE: We decided to dine in tonight and got the buffet. It cost &14.95 each. Even for a 10 year olds.
Panda Express
I have come to this location a few times, as it is close to where I work on campus, and honestly usually does not have a line when I go. I have gotten bowls and plates, and have not had issues with portion sizes. I recently got a plate with chow mein, orange chicken, and broccoli beef. The food is priced reasonably, beings that it is a Panda Express on a college campus, and the service is typically excellent. The people who work here are nice and they are fast in getting the food for you and ringing you up. I have always had pleasant experiences so I wanted to leave this review to say thank you!
Great service ,great food ,and I absolutely love the management and staff there. They really go out of the way to make you feel welcomed and taking care of. Especially the manager they have named Christianne. All in all I give it a 10 out of 10 and two thumbs up
Hy-Vee Chinese
30 minutes until close with no cook.... had to get husband something else than what he planned on and wanted. If the hours are 11 to 8, then a cook or two (you know for breaks and other duties) need to be scheduled for that time.
The food was old and did not taste good. The employee working Chinese counter told us if we wanted fresh food we should have come in around 5pm. The cashier, different person, then says the the reason the food was so bad was because of corporate and that "that's why I don't even eat here". We were there before 7pm. All of the tables were dirty and trash over flowing. I don't think I saw any employees that cared.
Pak Ling Express
I don't know how this place has a 2.4 rating. 4 of us went in. Got 2 orders on sesame, a order of general tsao and garlic chicken. Everything was freshly made really quick. Hot and fresh with insane flavors. The garlic chicken fell apart as I was eating it was so tender
My daughter, myself and 2year old grandson just went here today, riding the streetcar from city market to crown center for an adventure. Of all of the amazing restaurant choices - we chose this one for one meal for the 2 year old. got the larger $14.99 meal with crab Rangoon. First thing was the older gentleman taking the order never spoke, just seemed to be in a bad mood. Chewy cold chicken that tasted 3 days old. I got a meal elsewhere and joined my daughter. when we were leaving and asked for a simple plastic bag to carry the leftovers in - the older gentleman shot his arm out finally speaking for the first time saying to get a bag around the corner. I opened up the tray to show him that the leftovers were from there and he handed over a bag. Just an ugly personality and the food wasn't worth the price - cold and chewy. There are so many better restaurants in crown center that I would advise travelers go to.
Hy-Vee Chinese
This used to be amazing. The recipes seem less consistent these days. The egg drop soup was incredible at one point. Now, it’s just bad. Early on, we’d purchase a staple served from the line of mushroom chicken. They stopped making that as a serving line item several years ago, so we’d special order it. Now if you special order it, it tastes awful. Disappointing. If you purchase sweet and sour chicken, they no longer have the sauce heated on the line. They give you condiment packets and good luck getting enough for the meal. We’d probably buy Hy-Chi at least once a week if there was the consistency and closely followed recipes as it was a few years ago. We gave it a shot a couple of weeks ago to see if perhaps it had gotten any better. Nope, it was even worse. Like I said, disappointing. On the upside, the fortune cookies are still good. While it’s a bit of a different cuisine, we’ve found the Japanese restaurant, Tokyo grill, in the strip mall next to Hy-Vee. It’s very consistent and delicious. Asian food. They’ve been getting more of our biz lately.
I got the dinner for 2. It was terrible the orange chicken was super sweet even for my little girl and she love sweets. The fried rice was really plain no vegetables or egg, and beijing beef was to sweet to. First and last time eating in here
China Bistro
The best shrimp fried rice I have ever had...better than rice dishes I have had in Shanghai...I usually take fried rice home from restaurants and get out more ginger, garlic, scallions, sesame oil and soy sauce. The rice from China Bistro is so balanced and amazing, it doesn't need one thing added, not even soy sauce. The owners are wonderful! They are a local family. Support local, family businesses and eat some fantastic food at China Bistro!!!
One of the most authentic Chinese restaurant in the area. Had this good chinese food in a very long time. We had Chicken Fried Rice and Kung Pao Chicken and it was nothing but absolute best.will be back here again if in the area.
Sicily's Pizza St. Martin
I was really hoping for something special or unique knowing this is a local pizza buffet restaurant. Unfortunately despite the almost 20 different types of pizza and countless different sides from pasta to lasagna to fried chicken that was available, it fell short of my expectations. The quality of the ingredients was below other chain pizza buffet restaurants and the flavor of the pizza was nothing to get excited about. The service however was excellent. The staff quickly cleared empty plates and cleaned off the tables. The salad bar was decent and probably the best part of my visit here. If you are looking for a buffet with lots of different types of pizza then this may be for you. Unfortunately this was not for me.
We were pretty upset for our first time here. The food is average taste. They do have a lot of variety of pizza and it is nice to see so many other options to make the whole family happy. The Sicilian kicking chicken was the best thing in the buffet. Our waitress was the sweetest women and super fast. However, we were upset to be charged 3.9% to use a card. We called before we went and they never mentioned it when we asked about pricing. We also called ahead to see if they would honor my bariatric card . The man on the phone said no problem I would just be charged the kids price for a 12 year old. When we arrived the cashier didn’t know what the card was so she called a man from the back to help. His disposition was clear that he was not happy about me using my card. He shook his head at me with an attitude the whole time she rang it up and continued to shake his head in disgust all the way back to the kitchen. We would have walked out and left after this if we didn’t have a toddler that was not going to leave without pizza. The way he handled the situation was rude and uncalled for. If it made him that angry he could have just said he would not honor it and go on instead of embarrassing me. The 3 star rating is more for the treatment and price than the food itself. The food was good just not great for the price. Unless you really want to try a bunch of different pizzas, pay the extra and go to the palace buffet instead. We will not be back but if we had been treated differently we might have given it one more chance.
Saki
The crab puffs appitizer was overcooked and had almost no puff at all. Could not taste anything but dry wonton when you took a bite. The spicy beef fried rice was a very big portion and lots of flavor. The sweet and sour chicken and vegetable tempura were deep-fried to perfection and not over battered so you could taste more than batter. The soups were hot and tasty and the salads had lots of dressing on them.
It was lunch time. Not too terribly busy. I continuously had to repeat something missing. You won't hurt my feelings if you must write it down. I'd have to. Food was very good. It was a special treat for me that day because we don't live close to it now. There have been much better days. It still remains my favorite Japanese Restaurant in South MS.
Le's Place
VERY GOOD Sushi Place. Good Sushi. Good Workers. BEAUTIFUL presentation. Definitely will give this place additional visits, because I wish I had enough to try more rolls here. Certainly beats a very good number of Sushi places in town and reminds me of my favorite place at my old hometown!
Delicious Bun Thit Nuong with ribeye and the egg roll that comes with it was hot and fresh! Would definitely order this meal again!
