Bun House
Ordered for Uber eats, packed well. Got 3 buns, meat, vege pork, chashu pork. The quail egg was nice, sausage meant literally one bit sized piece, and the pork was a solid ball. The meat flavors were good. The sweeter red purple pork one wasn't my favorite but texture was good. There was a ton of bun vs. filling. The bun was somewhat fluffy but seemed not freshly made and sticky. It's a bit dry to eat as is. Prices ok for size, but again little filling.
Red paste bean bun is NOT PASTE FORM itโs literally red beans slightly smushed in the inside, not sweet at all. Thumbs down ๐. The meat one with mushroom was cold inside otherwise it would have been decent ๐. However, the only one bun I would actually get again is the cheese bun, the cheese is like a sweet doughy cheese that reminds me of cheesecake ๐
Mandarin Express
These reviews are tripping fr, best fast food at Crabtree mall and the owner is phenomenal! This is my fiance and I go to always! We recommend the sesame chicken, bourbon and orange.
This is now a Pei Wei Express. I was hesitant in stopping here, based on the name change from Mandarin to Pei Wei. The only and only time I've been to a Pei Wei, which was over 10 years ago, I was not impressed. But, I gave this a shot. The setup appears to be the same, similar to Panda Express. I got the 2 item combo with fried rice, Thai coconut chicken and Mongolian chicken. Everything tasted as expected. My only disappointment was their hot mustard. It just wasn't good. But, I would go back. Oh, and it was affordable. $10.66.
Shanghai Express
Okay, I know it is 2.6 stars, but the launch special is only 8 dollars, and after you finish the rice, you still have almost half of the leftovers to eat it next time because the portion is so big.
Good food and quick delivery to my airbnb. It was nice that they included an eggroll without me even asking for it. The chicken was moist and tender, and the sweet-and-sour sauce was yummy. Everything was just fine! The DoorDasher was very nice, too.
Wang's Kitchen
I ordered 4 fried chicken wings with shrimp fried rice. The chicken was fried horribly, and it tasted the way it looked....horrible. I hate to bite a piece of chicken and taste the actual seasoning before it was fried. The rice was okay. No egg in it. No sprouts. No scallion. It was not an ideal concept of Chinese fried rice. The NY Chinese need to come teach these people how to cook.
oh wow what a nightmare. The fried wonton's were perhaps boiled? ... just horid. The Kung pao chicken was laughable... I thought they made something else, then I found a peanut.. this was BAD
China Pearl
Worst Chinese I ever ate. I definitely wasted $15 for this lomein and 2 egg rolls. Veggies in egg roll super crunchy and lo mein just wasnโt it for me. Very disappointed.
Very bad experience... AGAIN !!! Ordered with no onions in my shrimp fried rice. First time wrong they at least brought me another one. After the rest of family has finished. This time nothing They got the order wrong, then wanted me to pay the driver to come back. That should have been on them. Never go to China Pearl on Jones Franklin Raleigh. I know we won't! Dawn
