Red Plum Restaurant

Excellent food and delightful service. Great menu variety-our table had everything from Hibachi, sashimi, fries rice, and red snapper. We enjoyed two for one drinks on a Tuesday night. Hip atmosphere with red lights and industrial feel.

UPDATE: This location closed down Feb 2017. However, you can still get the great food in the original Mamaroneck (251 Mamaroneck Ave) location. This Is my go to for sushi and miso soup. They even deliver! But the bar is a nice place to sit, so I like going there when I can.

Himalaya Scarsdale

Today was my Birthday and was hoping for a great experience and a great meal and sure enough, I had a great meal. I would highly recommend you not to order anything very spicy but ask for Medium or Mild because when I was asked the level of spice, I asked for a high level of spice and I was all sweaty eating a spicy Himalayan Mahkini on my Birthday. If you do order something very spicy, I highly recommend you wait 10 minutes before the food with a high level of spice cools down on the table because it isn’t that spicy then. However, had a nice birthday eating there as the atmosphere was nice and had great service where the staff are very attentive and friendly and always filling your refilling your glass whenever your glass of water is running low. Thank you for the service and the food because I was nice and full for the rest of my birthday.

Amazing atmosphere, food, service and sounds of the live musicians. Great place to celebrate any occasion! For us it was a great Birthday!

Hapag Filipino Cuisine

Just ordered today 12/22/2024 !!! I am Filipino. I was ordering for my Super Excited MultiRacial conurses to eat Filipino food for Lunch. I am Super disappointed due to the Hairy Crispy Pata and meat is mildly cook !!! And the rice look like a Low Class brand. I love Hapag Food but not the Hairy Crispy Pata!!! Hoping that you will fix it and serve a little bit better for our growing non Filipino food explorer!!! Salamat and Maligayang Pasko to all of us...

Food is served quickly & the staff are very friendly. I appreciated the fact that they serve tofu as an alternative for those who don't eat meat (ME). The Ukoy became an instant favorite of ours! My husband enjoyed the menudo. It's very small space & fills up quickly over the weekend. We enjoyed our experience & will definitely be back.

Bamboo Garden Restaurant

I ordered delivery to the hotel. The process was quite simple and they delivered to the room. Price was decent but it’s not delicious. The hotel staff spoke very highly of this place but flavor was not even close to authentic asian food. The salmon was the best but the sechuan dish I ordered didn’t have a little bit of sechuan-ness in it. I couldn’t feel any spice. It was a bland mixture of meat and veggies.

I was so looking forward to my lunch. The fried rice looked like white rice with soy sauce in it nothing else. It was the worst. The portions were really small. Was disappointed.

Food was delicious, portion sizes were small but I loved each bite. The food is light and fresh, with lots of unique uses of mushrooms! Highly recommend the salad, hen of the wood, shrimp bao, greens and the desserts (all three were amazing) Also drinks were 10/10 Our waiter was incredible, very knowledgeable on the menu and also just a nice guy! The service and ambience by the bar and entrance was incredible, didn’t LOVE where we sat (by the stairs into the hotel lobby) but it didn’t really take away from the experience.

The dining experience was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The food and drinks were exquisite, and the attentive and friendly staff made the experience truly exceptional. Each dish was meticulously crafted with attention to every detail, ensuring that every bite was a delight. The shareable plates allowed us to indulge in multiple delectable options. The ambiance was both casual and refined, with beautifully ornate dining spaces that added an elegant touch to the overall experience. Furthermore, the surrounding grounds and outdoor spaces were simply gorgeous, making it an ideal location for any kind of celebration.

The food here is delicious, I always order the Thai Crispy Chicken Katsu, it comes with a massive chicken cutlet and rice with a sweet sauce, it’s really the best you should try it. I took a picture but I already at most of it, whoops.

My husband and I have been going to SEA for more than 16 years and have been happy with every meal.

Chen's poke

72reviews

Literally has to be the the best poke place ever, the lady who greets you and services you is absolutely the nicest. And the food is always the best and highest quality. I highly recommend everything, it’s always so clean inside and sweet. You can eat by yourself or in a group. There is always space to dine in and easy to eat out. 10/10

Small, clean little restaurant. Fresh ingredients. A little stingy with their protein amts but lots of things to add to the volume later on. Fifty cents for 2 T of extra sauce was a bit much given the very little amt the server put in and the $14.95 price for the bowl. Service was okay…cooperative but very little to say.

China King

Typical small family run Chinese takeout. They took the order incorrectly, but she was rushing a little on the phone. Their Brown sauce was good. However the chicken was chewy or rubbery. The spring roll was a little oily, have to let it drip at the fryer more before packing it. Price was reasonable.

I gave this place 2.5 chances. Tossed my food each time. They don’t know how to cook. Not even worth $5 for small and $10 for large plate. Literally worth $0 taste so bad, texture of food feels fake. Meat feels very fake. Something is fishy about this place. Stay away. Edit: I’m 99% sure the other reviews are fake. The food was nasty.

New Hong Kong Chef II

Ordered for delivery at work, the first time I was not happy with the boneless spare ribs, they were tough and the rice was too mushy and wet. The second time I ordered the chicken and broccoli and it was yummy.

Not appetizing though it appears fresh and delicious. I don’t know why they use this red ketchup like sauce for a garlic sauce. I only tried this place cause it’s close to where I am. Garlic sauce supposed to be brown not ketchup color. I specifically asked for not saucy but it’s still Sauced up. I like the cabbage roll crispy and not too thick wrap. It’s well cooked unlike other Chinese place that sell under cooked egg rolls with thick wrappers. I probably would have like the food if not for the weird sauce they put. It’s not Chinese like cooking. Lol the eggplant I ordered is not fully cooked like it’s rushed. I originally asked for a beef but they say they don’t serve eggplants with beef only chicken. If other places make it with beef what difference does it make! Oh well. U can make string beans, broccoli, mixed vegetable with beef but not with eggplant! What kind of logic is that lol.

Noodle Plus

377reviews

Just ate lunch at Noodles Plus and it was a delight! The lunch specials come with a choice of spring roll, chive dumpling, or pork pot sticker. I tried the chive dumpling, which was wonderfully springy and paired perfectly with a tasty dipping sauce, along with a light lettuce salad on the side. The lunch menu features classic Thai dishes like Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai, though I noticed there’s no Pad See Ew. You can add chicken, tofu, beef, or shrimp to your dishes; we both opted for beef in our noodles—Pad Thai for me and Drunken Noodles for her. The portions were generous and absolutely delicious! The restaurant is cozy and quite popular during lunch hours, especially with the nearby office crowd in downtown White Plains. Don’t expect a leisurely lunch, as there are only about 8 tables inside, plus a few outside. We loved our meals and can’t wait to return for both lunch and dinner when we have more time to unwind!

Really tasty!! Summer rolls were fresh, great peanut sauce. The drunken noodles were so good - each noodle was thoroughly coated with sauce and delicious flavor. Fairly spicy but still allows the flavor to shine through.

Youngs Chinese Food

92reviews

Young’s is the best Chinese place in the area and I usually like what I get BUT there were a few items that weren’t the best. The egg foo young was mostly broccoli which is disappointing and the veggie dumplings were the worst Ive ever had. They are so thick, just way to much dough. Osaka in Tarrytown makes a delicious one. The dough really shoudnt be this thick. I tried hot and sour soup for the first time also and its just not my cup of tea. The scallion pancakes were awesome except they didnt let the oil drain so it was oily. The rice is always amazing. Thank you 😊

I enjoy their chow fried rice.. I can eat it everyday . It has been my saving grace. They are nice people too
