One Filipino customer, ordering for a group to try Filipino food, expressed disappointment with a "Hairy Crispy Pata" that was also mildly cooked and noted the rice appeared to be of a lower quality. Despite this, they mentioned loving Hapag's food in general and hoped for improvements for non-Filipino food explorers.

In contrast, another customer had a positive experience. They noted that the food was served quickly and the staff were very friendly. A significant feature they appreciated was the availability of tofu as a meat alternative. They particularly enjoyed the Ukoy, which became an instant favorite, and their husband enjoyed the menudo. They mentioned that the space is small and tends to fill up quickly on weekends. Overall, they enjoyed their experience and plan to return.

In summary, Hapag Filipino Cuisine in Yonkers offers a range of Filipino dishes. While one recent review raised concerns about a specific dish, another customer highlighted the friendly service, quick food delivery, and the availability of vegetarian options like tofu, as well as the deliciousness of dishes like Ukoy and menudo. Potential customers should be aware that the dining space is small and can get crowded, especially on weekends.

Just ordered today 12/22/2024 !!! I am Filipino. I was ordering for my Super Excited MultiRacial conurses to eat Filipino food for Lunch. I am Super disappointed due to the Hairy Crispy Pata and meat is mildly cook !!! And the rice look like a Low Class brand. I love Hapag Food but not the Hairy Crispy Pata!!! Hoping that you will fix it and serve a little bit better for our growing non Filipino food explorer!!! Salamat and Maligayang Pasko to all of us...

Food is served quickly & the staff are very friendly. I appreciated the fact that they serve tofu as an alternative for those who don't eat meat (ME). The Ukoy became an instant favorite of ours! My husband enjoyed the menudo. It's very small space & fills up quickly over the weekend. We enjoyed our experience & will definitely be back.

What a treat Hapag! The aroma from arriving food made the mouth water straight away, and the service top notch. I didn't understand the Filipino names of dishes, but had the luxury of a fluent and well versed lunch companion. She ordered across traditional specials, and i enjoyed tasting each one. My favorite was the fresh lumpia with peanut sauce! Great company. Great service, and delicious food. Hapag hit all the marks.

The food is sooooo good! Made me feel like I went to visit my mom and have her cook for me! The pancit is absolutely delish! The chicken adobo had ALL the flavor! And of course we can't forget about the lumpia! I definitely recommend to anyone who is in the mood for some Filipino food. It's small inside so hopefully you are blessed with being able to enjoy a meal sitting down. I went last weekend and it filled up fast! Every table was occupied. But I guess that says something about the quality of the food! All of the staff was very friendly and attentive. Please go! Def worth it.

I don’t dislike the place I’m disappointed at the quality of food to go they serve! I try to be patient and tell myself ok maybe another time it will be better but no! I ordered sizzling sisig a month ago and it wasn’t appetizing very dry and the meat is old. I have addressed this before when I ordered on a separate occasion. They apologized and refunded. So I ordered again, today pork adobo and pancit palabok. So skimpy on pork and again lemme tell you I can tell the difference between freshly cooked pork and most probably recycled pork. I’m so disappointed and it is overly sour. I feel like I wasted driving and paying. And before you tell me I should cook my own food so I won’t be complaining, I never disliked this place. Maybe it’s the cook I don’t like the way he cooks lol. I used to dine in here and no problem except that some food is slightly salty. I came here prepared to bring to work food and I regretted it. By far kare kare and lechon kawali was my fave. I wanted to try every single dish but not everything is done well. For the price you charge and quality of food you serve it’s not quite fair?! I’m just giving my honest opinion on this matter. Of course we all have different taste buds and im not a picky eater either. I just want good quality tasting Filipino dish that’s all. Mabuhay !
