Panda Express
I've been to this location multiple times, I will actually drive out of my way to eat here since the Panda Express that is nearest to me in the Lincoln Heights area is so poorly run. This is a good Panda Express restaurant. Enjoy!
Typical Panda experience. One of the few fast food places you can have a healthy meal (if you know what to get) for a good price. You can never go wrong...well, unless you suck and hate on Panda for not being "authentic"...even though the founders are Asian but that's neither here nor there.
New China
Very solid Chinese takeout place. It has the standard food you would expect with Americanized Chinese dishes which are pretty good. But the secret is they have an authentic Chinese menu primarily catering to the students at the nearby University which is outstanding their mama tofu is fantastic
Extremely rude. Went there got an order asked for duck sauce. Guy behind counter said it's some in the bag. I said ok but may I have a couple more. Then he started yelling it's some in the bag. Very aggressive Very rude. Won't ever be back there again
Lucky Dragon Chinese Restaurant
Who is genuinely leaving good reviews for this place. This place has horrible service and food is not good. They had a handful of people waiting over 45 min to get their food tonight. I'm sure the board of health needs to pay a visit as they were leaving buckets of chicken out just sitting near the fryer. Going to get people sick from un sanitary practices. Tossed my food after a few bites not worth a hospital visit. They aren't storing the food properly and the lady up front has an attitude problem. When they say 10 mins you need to x3 it.. that how long it really takes them to make your food. Just a Poorly ran business 🥺. Also the atmosphere has mold and disgusting, look at the vents they never clean.
If I could give it a 0 I would. Probably at the top of my list of places to avoid. Weirdest and most bland Chinese food I've ever had in my life. I had 2 pieces of chicken and that was enough to not try the rest of the meal. Egg rolls are soggy and the rice tastes like it's been cooked in a pan that's never been washed. Worst $ I've spent on food in quite some time.
Hunan Best
My family and friends have been having dinner here for 30 years or more. The food is still just as wonderful as it was when the restaurant opened, and keeps getting better. We appreciate their continued contribution to our community.
Food was ok, was disappointed in the crab ragoons, didn't seem to have much crab. The louisa roll was lacking the amount of crab advertised in the picture, but that's expected...nothing ever looks as good as the picture.
Hot Wok
0 Star Overall! I placed my take out order during the lunch hours, between 11am - 3pm, clearly stated on their menu. They do not give an itemized receipt with a breakdown of charges and it wasn’t until after I’d left and paid, I realized I was charged dinner pricing. I called the restaurant and mentioned I ordered during lunch time frame but was charged dinner pricing. The staff started yelling at me and said, “I don’t care; you didn’t specify”. Really disappointing at lack of customer concern and certainly will not be a returning customer.
This place has changed. Always has been dead on but tonight not so much. No mustard or duck sauce with the egg rolls, no fortune cookies, the General Tso chicken was a big glob, the pancakes for Moo Shi pork were not the same as before, thin and blah, little things but not what I expected from previous visits. I hope they don't turn into Pens.
China Eight Restaurant
Family ran business. Nice people and fast service. Always get my food steaming hot and made to order every time 🙌🏽
we picked up our order less than 20 minutes after ordering and it was already cold. all we ordered was crab rangoons, and there was what looked like a hair in one of the them. ontop of that, we had to purchase two drinks just to be able to checkout with a card. would not recommend this place.
Panda Express
The second time I order for pick up! Wrong orders again! Check your orders before pick up. It seems like they need someone to make sure we get what we paid for! 21$for this, not fair! Won't be back!
This panda express location has to be one of the slowest inconsistent panda express in the city. They always have workers that look like they don’t know what they’re doing, food not ready for 10-15 minutes, and food that can taste completely different from one day to the next.
Chan's Restaurant
This is our go-to favorite for our family. Some of our favorite dishes include beef kung-pow, beef lo mein, chans chow mein, & pork fried rice. Pricing is resonable.
I'll go to Safeway deli before I get food here again. Ordered takeout and the fried pork and shrimp were dry and hard as a rock. Two of the takeout containers were open because the tab was ripped off. Unacceptable considering the premium price tag. Very polite otherwise.
Panda Inn
I stopped at Panda Inn in the Winn Dixie shopping center for my first time. They are closest to my house. I went in and was going to order the Beef and Mushrooms. I asked if there was anything other than mushrooms in it with the beef. The child at the front counter went back and asked the man (I'm thinking it was her father). He took a lid off a recessed container to look inside and put the lid back. He spoke to a lady (thinking the wife)and she came up and I asked if the Beef and Mushrooms had anything else in it. She went on to tell me that it had carrots and some other things but not many. I asked if I could just get it with only Beef and Mushrooms. She said she couldn't for takeout. That just tells me that you can't get fresh cooked food there. I guess I'll continue to go to China King in Millbrook where they cook their food fresh and delicious and with Beef and Mushrooms by themselves.
No complaints about the food. It's good. It's just every time you go in there to wait on your food. I'm in there 30 to 35 minutes sometimes a little longer and the last time I was there it was about 30 to 35 minutes and all we ordered was sesame chicken and noodles. That's it and other people come in there and I asked them how long they've been there they say 30 minutes they need to hire more people to work in the kitchen. So everybody's not waiting 30-40 minutes. Other people have things to do
Lin's Garden
I have been a customer of Lin’s Garden for 15 years I called at 3:30 and placed a big order Was told 2 hour delivery Ok i said 45 minutes later no delivery Called and was told they don’t have enough drivers And it would be another hour at least I said why didn’t you call me No answer I told her cancel the order and I will find myself a new Chinese RESTAURANT OH OK she said Good bye Lin’s Garden
Literally some of the worst general tso's chicken Ive ever had in my life. Too much vinegar, bizarre sauce, poor quality meat, and no real breaded coating. Came fast tho
BEIJING BUFFET
I've lost count of how many plates we've had. We love the sashimi, shrimp, kimchi was great. Love the classics pepsi cups they use here too! Reminds me of childhood. So happy we have a buffet in town!! Great place 👍🏼
I usually never rate places this low, but unfortunately this had become one of them. I had really high hopes for this restaurant especially because we do need more Chinese places in ventura, but when we arrived we paid $78 for 3 people, 2 seniors one child. as we began to browse it was somewhat limited to how many items there were, the food was luke warm and over cooked with little to no flavor, the orange chicken was very soggy and swimming in the orange sauce. overall I just hope they actually taste what they’re serving and maybe will decide to change some things. especially given the fact they just recently became open. overall not a terrible experience but i just wish it felt like they put more effort into the food regardless if it’s “buffet” style.
Panda Express
I can’t say enough how rude the workers were even the manger. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting to order while the manger was doing an online order and talking shit with the other worker about other customers. While I waited 10 minutes the line was all the way back to the play structure and she was only doing online orders everytime they came in. Once she finally took my order they only had an option of orange chicken and shrimp. Said it was a 30 minute wait for everything else because it all went to the online orders. Never going there again
With the increasingly less and less options to at at the Pacific View Mall, Panda Express is always a good consistent option. You are rarely surprised here. Workers are decent and fast. Food is hot and ready usually. Line moves fast which is great for short lunch breaks. I know many complain about the authenticity of this food but it’s great American Asian cuisine and decent prices. Fried rice, orange chicken, cream cheese ragoons, can’t go wrong with what you pick usually.
