Happy Garden
Worst establishment in Erie. I ordered lo mein with some honey chicken. Lo mein tastes like someone smoked a whole pack of cigarettes and blew the smoke in the noodles. Smells like cigarettes cold. And I called Happy garden to ask them for a refun and or a reimbursement they got an attitude with me. Started yelling at me on the phone. Not professional at all Would I recommend this restaurant to anyone? No, don't order from them. Disgusting 💯💯💯
Been there severa years ago and believe me their food at Happy Garden was not cooked properly then I have gotten very sick 🤢🤮to point ended up in ER with severe illness for few days afterwards! Overpriced for low quality of Chinese food being served there is not worth it! Stay away from this place ! Wish I didn’t went there in the first place ! What a waste of money for bad quality food tasted horribly !!! 👉Do yourself a favor, Do not go there !!!!! 👉 DO NOT order or call to order any food from Happy Garden! They are RUDE !!!!
Chili King
Welcoming place. It faces a busy street and doesn't have a parking lot; I found curbside parking behind the establishment on one of the side streets nearby. I enjoyed my dish and thought it had a very authentic taste and preparation (reminiscent of spicy Hunan cuisine). The owner is helpful and explains English/Chinese translations of the dishes. Most dishes besides appetizers are $10 and up but they offer large portions for the price. Will come again!
So good and authentic! Highly recommend this place. It is spicy, but in a good way!
Hop Poh Chinese Restaurant
Chicken or Shrimp fried rice is not normal, they give you plain rice with Chicken or Shrimp. Called, they say you have to ask to get the veggies, onions, and pork. Ordered from there a year ago and the food was normal. Called and was told to "Have a Good Day"!
I've had hop poh a handful of times over the years and I've never really been a fan, I only get it from here if I'm craving it and it's too late to go towards reading whatever other reasons .. I always go closer to Reading for my Chinese food.. This place has declined since the first time I've tried it.. food is almost bland and not cooked with care it seems like, even when you specify what your looking for they don't listen and now they've cut back on the Portion size compared to others where they stuff it so much you can see the food almost squishing thru the clear lid Hopefully they make changes soon.. I'm posting two pictures, first one will be hop poh's food the second and third will be from my go to spot near Reading for your own judgment.. take note of the amount of contents in the rice. on this one I asked for egg and I got maybe a quarter size of it in the entire amount of rice..
Discount Chinese Restaurant
The food was hot and tasty, and the price was very good. The lady that took and cooked my order was very nice as well. Definitely great when you want something cheap and tasty.
Looks run down but they are super nice. The best crab Rangoon and my husband loves the spare ribs and egg rolls
Taste of China
Stopped in a while back while waiting for the NYC bus. Honestly everything tasted like they cooked it on a dirty grill or something. I had chicken wings and plain pork fried rice. The wings tasted weird and the rice was straight up disgusting. It tasted really, really bad. Like it was old and cooked in a wok that was never cleaned after cooking a million other things in it. I don't recommend this place at all. Schenectady doesn't have the best Chinese food but this was bad even by those standards. You're definitely better off waiting till you get to the city.
The sesame chicken was soggy and had a different after taste the success was a dark brown and was not crispy at all.. The ribs were dry and meat tasted old was disappointed right away the shrimp toast, was not cooked properly I wish I just got a big mac at this point…. 🙄😒
NO.1 Chinese Restaurant
Today I called number one Chinese and I wanted to make an order and the lady told me I couldn't make an order because the computer said that it can't make deliveries to my phone number, which is listed on the computer not to deliver any food to me. Me and my family have given this restaurant business for over 25 years, and they're not going to deliver me any food? This doesn't make any sense at all. If that's how they want to automate their business so be it that I'm not going to spend a single dollar with this business anymore.
I got beef and broccoli is 13.35$ and is more broccoli than beef I paid 13.35 for broccoli it’s good don’t get me wrong, but what’s up with that, either lower the price to 8$ or give me more beef
Chinese Gourmet
Great place for groups to come and enjoy a food from various nations (E.g. American, Chinese, Mexican etc.). They also have a decent desert area with many cakes, cookies and ice cream choices. Fair prices and bottomless plates make for a great buffet experience.
This place was okay. They've been in business longer than almost all of the buffets in Utah and that's good for them. The food wasn't amazing, they have a good range of a lot of varieties of food, but none were really great. The service was pretty fast and they seem pretty nice. This is a good place for people nearby if they don't really care about where to go for dinner.
New China King
The food is overpowered with broccoli and grease.. They only give a spoonful of rice and 5 shrimps. The food lacks taste and flavor. You can literally squeeze oil from the shrimp rolls, no napkins provided either. The delivery drivers are so hungry for tips, you have to be stretching your hands out for your change. Will definitely not recommend because the food is not worth the price.
I usually base my experience off of the most basic choice on the menu from any local Chinese restaurant, that being chicken wings and French fries. Respectfully. If you can’t get something that simple made correctly, why order anything else of the menu ?

Q Restaurant
We weren’t expecting much because of the location but WOW this is one of our new favorite spots! Such great food, cocktails, service, and ambience. They did a great job with decor. Highly recommend the pork shank & the drunken noodles. Amazing old fashioneds but we tried a few different cocktails and loved them all (the Oliver Twist comes on fire & the anise isn’t too strong). Great mixology. Can’t wait to be back! Hopefully there’s a spot since they don’t take reservations.
Amazing martinis! We had a really cute and quaint dinner with awesome service from the bartender and staff and truly some of the best martinis I’ve had. With about 20 martini options on the menu, I will definitely be back to try them all!
Number 1 Chop Suey
I didn’t specify when I ordered that’s my fault. It was late @night. I ws looking for fried lo’ mein not boiled so tht could’ve been the issue. They good people tho.
