Mei Ho
Food is pretty good for a small town Chinese restaurant. Ordered the sesame chicken, BBQ spare ribs, and egg rolls. The turn-off is the restaurant lobby that looks like a construction zone with a small window cut out into the wall where the money and the food are passed through.
Best Chinese in the area, great dumplings and egg rolls. Worth the stop for lunch or dinner.
Chan's Garden
Absolutely delicious, and most importantly authentic! I ordered the Orange Chicken and the sauce was amazing and flavorful, along with the way it had been perfectly cooked. I ordered a hot tea with it which came in a decent sized teapot - it was great for a winter day, along with a cup of their egg drop! Lucky to have this place in St.Joe!
Had to share how great the food and service is at Chan’s. My entire family was in town for one night at my home. We ordered a HUGE takeout order - enough to feed 12 people and our family loved it all. The oohs and ahhs about how delicious it all was and how fun it was to taste over 11 different entrees just kept coming. It is definitely a meal I would do again and was worth every penny! Thank you to Chan’s for being a special part of our night last night! You were great to work with!
Ming's Restaurant
Whenever I move into a neighborhood, I have to find the best Pizza, the best Sushi and the best Chinese Food. Ming's is where I go for my Chinese Food. I have found it to be one of the best in the area and the only place I go when I want Chinese Food. They offer primarily take-out, but there are some seats for dining in. Their food is always made fresh and hot when I arrive to pick it up, and it's always delicious. Whether you want Lo Mein, Soup, or Fried Rice Dishes, or Beef and Chicken Dinners, Ming's is one of the best places to get it.
Almost exclusively a takeout business, although they do have some tables on premises, which is more than I can say for many Chinese places in the area post-pandemic. The sesame chicken isn't quite as crunchy as you want it to be, the crab rangoons are very sweet, and I got some cabbage that looked past its prime, but the food is a good value for money overall, and they have lots of dishes with veggies in them, which I like. For pickup, they prefer you order by phone to avoid Doordash fees.
Sunday's Best
Well this review is really for the Airport location but for whatever reason that location doesn't show up on Google Maps. Good news is that a general Google search will take you to a review that gives details about this location which can be found in concourse B at the Salt Lake City International Airport. Long and short, definitely a great breakfast and off the charts when you compare it to your typical airport breakfast experience in most airports! Check it out if you happen to be passing through!
My sister has been battling aggressive breast cancer, and for months, she’s been dreaming of trying this restaurant. Living out in Vernal, she never had the chance, until now. With her treatments bringing her to Salt Lake City weekly, she had one heartfelt request: to experience their brunch before starting chemo this morning, since we don’t know how it will affect her taste buds. So, we took her. What happened next was beyond anything we could have imagined. When the staff learned of her condition, they didn’t just welcome us, they made her feel truly special. They gave us a beautiful table, and to our complete surprise, they covered the entire meal. The kindness didn’t stop there. The manager, in the middle of the busy rush, took the time to offer genuine words of encouragement and well wishes. Not only was the food incredible and the atmosphere perfect, but the compassion and generosity of the staff turned a difficult day into something unforgettable. My sister felt seen, celebrated, and uplifted in a way we’ll never forget. To the entire team: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made her day, and in turn, ours.
Koi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi
I went this past weekend with some girlfriends and we had an amazing time. Our chef was very entertaining and the food was incredible. Was accidently charged extra for my order but they had amazing customer service and were helpful to fix that mistake quickly. I appreciate this service and would definitely come back.
My very first experience at an Asian restaurant with a grill in front of us and a talented cook. It was fun, memorable, and delicious. Overall a fantastic value. I had the grilled salmon lunch special, with a slice of New York cheesecake to go.
Samurai Noodle
Great noodle spot! I absolutely love the atmosphere, food, and service at this spot! I highly recommend getting the spicy Ramen soup and edamame. There was a delightfully, ridiculous food drama on the TV and the decorations are just so much fun. The noodles are handmade in house and everything was wonderful. Definitely worth a visit!
Some of the best ramen in town! I recommend they take some of the awards down or get smaller photos, can be a little distracting.
In-N-Out Burger
I recently visited the In-N-Out in Draper on a Saturday night, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by my experience. Despite the busy weekend rush, I only had to wait about 10 minutes in the drive-through, which is incredibly quick for a Saturday evening! It's always a gamble going out to eat on a weekend, but this location exceeded my expectations in terms of speed. What truly stood out during my visit was that my order was executed perfectly. I requested my burger to be wrapped in lettuce and tomatoes, and to my delight, they got it right! This attention to detail is something that has often been lacking at other In-N-Out locations I've visited in the past. It can be frustrating when orders are incorrect, but this time, everything was spot on. The burger was delicious, fresh, and packed with flavor. The combination of the crisp lettuce and juicy tomatoes made it a refreshing option. I appreciate how In-N-Out consistently delivers quality food, but this particular visit really highlighted their commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, my experience at the Draper location was a delightful reminder of why In-N-Out is such a beloved fast-food chain. With great speed, accuracy, and of course, tasty food, this location has certainly earned my loyalty. I’ll definitely be back for more!
In-N-Out is keeping our keto streak going strong! It's nice to order just the burger patties lettuce wrapped and the kids are happy with burgers and fries! This time we ordered the Flying Dutchman and enjoyed the grilled onions. The restaurant was busy and we waited for a seat. The staff were great especially Paxton!
Ho Ho Gourmet
I was craving some Chinese food, and I wanted to give this place a try, as I always see this place full. The building itself is not that great, but this place is a hole in the wall. I got my food to go, and the packaging and the portions were great. The food tasted pretty fresh.
Always love coming here for an affordable and delicious food. They have a lunch special that was so cheap and it comes with a main dish, soup, and an egg roll. Definitely worth it! Their walnut shrimpy and crispy noodles are my favorite! Would definitely recommend to anybody!
Hero Hotpot
What a fun place! I got their spicy broth, and chicken broth. The spicy was so delicious! No complaints about the service, we were sat really quick, and everyone was friendly! My only reason for giving 4 stars, was they didn't have any carrots or onion on the menu to put in the hot pot. Not a big deal, just love having those in the options. I would suggest adding those.
(I’m from Chicago and there have plenty hot pots options. My comment is compared with hot pot restaurants in Chicago) I spent most of the time waiting for my food to come, watch the broth boiling, and have nothing to eat. This is all because the size of each order is small and the slowest serving (or, you might never get it - see below) The broth is very plain and you can clearly see through the broth (see detail comments below); the winter melon is not fresh; the fried buns are too greasy; each order has very few foods and you can finish it in few minutes and wait ten minutes (or longer or never) for the next order; the serving is slow, waited ten minutes with no food served; ordered some foods but never served and then customers have to remind the staff; the fried beef balls taste bad; the fried tofu is delicious; the meat slides are ok but I was not able to eat enough because of the slowest serving… (imagine you can eat 10 but only get 3-4) About the broth: I have never saw a broth like this before. It is too plain. It is like you get some broth from the true hot pot broth and add a bunch of water in it. The worst broth ever! And it has a unpleasant smell - this smell is usually because of the bone (or meat) is not prepared correctly Remember for those who still want to try: 1. if your food is not ready in 5 minutes, make sure to let the waitress/ waiter know!! Otherwise you may wait very long time to get it and possibly never get it. 2. And ordering foods in advanced!! Otherwise you would just watch the broth boiling and no food to cook (for more than 10 mins or never get it until you ask the staff) 3. Avoid the bone and tomato broth. You can do it much better at home.
Mr. Rice
The food is amazing! My whole family ate there, but I got the best dish which was the skewers. They had different options for the skewers, but they were so good. It should be noted that most of the food is deep fried or breaded. The sauces they use are amazing. The service is great. Very polite.
Let me just start off with the customer service, the lady at the front cashier is an absolute doll, so sweet. Their food was a lot, yummy but a lot. Not a bad thing, but by my self I underestimated the portion size. The food was great, the rice was soft and fluffy.
Thai Spoon
I consider myself a Thai food snob. I know good Thai food. This place was ok. The food was good, but the Pad See Ew was disappointing. The flavor was not what I expect and the dish was lacking caramelization. The satay noodle had good flavor. It's a specialty of this restaurant. It was a combo of peanut sauce and curry flavor. The fresh rolls were not my favorite. I've had them other places with whole pieces of lettuce leaves and herbs. I didn't get to try the drunken noodle before my daughter dumped chili powder all over it. The owner is super friendly. Many Thai classics are on the menu. The portions are generous. Overall, not a bad place to eat, but I was disappointed with my favorite dish.
Decent Thai food. Not the best and not the worst. Pretty middle of the road. I do like that when you ask for spicy, it’s actually spicy. A 5 spice level is actually a 5 spice level.
Soy's Sushi Bar & Grill
We had a great experience here. The server was extremely attentive. We didn't eat the Miso soup we ordered as we thought it was too salty. No biggie. But without asking for it, the server brought out another soup the chef remade for us that was perfect. We ordered the Lollipop roll and the Godzilla roll. Both were fantastic, but would highly recommend the Lollipop. One of my favorite sushi rolls I have had. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice sushi night out.
The food, waitress, and overall atmosphere were great. The service was a bit slow, likely because there was only one chef, but that was understandable since the place wasn’t very busy. The rolls are priced around $15, which is reasonable. However, if you plan to order more than one roll, along with drinks or desserts, the cost can quickly add up to $30 or more, making it a pricier dining experience.
