Good Luck
Good Luck Chinese is one of those solid corner spots you can always count on. The food is super tasty—nothing fancy, just classic Chinese takeout done right. Everything I’ve had has been delicious, and the portions are generous too. The service is great—everyone is always friendly and quick. The place itself is simple and straightforward, but that’s part of the charm. It’s no surprise they’ve been around for a long time—they’re doing it right. Definitely a nice little local place.
my food was great. heres a before an after pic for reference
Ten Full
First time eating here and I ordered online. I got the lunch special chicken & broccoli and the thai chili wings. It was both good and I had enough for lunch the following day. Plenty of options and pricing is fair. Will buy from here again.
Will be my new go to place for Chinese takeout. Very good and sufficient delivery (30 mins) on a Friday night! Would have given 4.5 stars if that was an option.
Cafe 48 & Restaurant
I got the shrimp fried rice and shrimp dumplings this morning, and it was amazing. The fried rice tasted very unique and different and flavorful the atmosphere is wonderful a very nice lady helped me out. Prices are reasonable. Portions are nice and big. Definitely will be back.
Update: service was slow not sure why only ordered a simple thai noodle dish and it takes very long wait. It's very salty and makes my tong tingle, will not order this again. My friend and I were craving Hainan 🐔 so I suggested we give this place a try since it's located half way between us. To both of us the taste of the chicken was better than expected, we didn't have high expectations. The sauces were good but on the salty side, it was good they put in side containers so use at your own discretion. The menu is extensive I am surprised what looks like a small store front can offer such a variety. I am going back to try some of their other offerings. Paid street parking available. Only a few tables but good for a quick bite. The only complaint is a small group of people/employee/owner?/delivery person smoking in front of the store making the experience unpleasant.
I Shanghai
We came on a Saturday lunchtime to check out this new Shanghainese restaurant and was surprised that it’s not busy at all. Tried three traditional dishes and all were average. Soup dumplings skin was good, not so think; however, the taste was nothing special. Rice cake was so oily, didn’t look like they stirred fried at all. And not much meat or bamboo shoots. Garlic fried Spareribs was better of the three. Dishes are smaller portions which worked better for us.
4.5 stars. We went on their second day of shoft opening and the place was practically empty. We ordered Shanghainese Pan Fried Pork Soup Dumplings ($4), Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings ($7), Shanghainese Mini Wontons Soup ($9), Pork and Chives Potstickers ($9). I was not so impressed with the soup dumplings and much prefer the ones at Nan Xiang but I really loved their mini wonton soup and pan fried soup dumplings. The mini wontons had the thinnest most translucent skin. It felt so silky slurping it down. The broth was clean but so tasty. I just really loved it. And the pan fried soup dumplings had so much broth. The bottoms were nice and crispy. This might be my favorite pan fried soup dumplings I've gotten in a while. We ended up getting two more orders of this when we were. Just for these two items, I Shanghai is now in my rotation of restaurants and will recommend it to friends and family.
