We stopped by Sagar Chinese during the past Christmas weekend, a nostalgic spot from our childhood. The menu options and service remain consistent with what we remember, though the food quality isn’t quite as exceptional as it used to be. Still, it’s a good choice for a casual family meal.

Absolutely delicious food .. we were just amazed . Excellent service. I will recommend everyone to come with family and have dinner or lunch . We had great time .. wishing you the best from Canada

The frid ship was bad not like the picture not cooked well

This is one of the better Chinese takeout places in the area. The chicken wasn’t soggy and the flavor was good. The combination meal was only $8 and you get a lot of food for that. Try and ignore the homeless people rummaging through the trash inside the restaurant and the food will taste better.

When we arrived this restaurant, it was full house. We’ve waited a few minutes to be seated. I can only see one waiter worked for the whole dinning room. Ordered beef chao fun. Very limited pieces of beef were found. Good thing it tasted pretty good. Roughly fifteen tables, served by one server. You can tell how well the service is.

Classic Hong Kong style food, good value for breakfast special before 11am, and afternoon special from 2pm to 5pm. The Kong Kong Style tea with milk is authentic. Good choices in Flushing. Did not try the classic one toasted pineapple bun with butter since they are out of butter.

Mahjong Cafe & Bar is a Hong Kong styled Cha Chaan Teng located right outside Tangram mall. We were looking for something quick to eat, and this popped up. Staff is friendly, mainly speak in Mandarin/Cantonese but can speak English as well. Food came out quite quick, and was fast. The food offerings are similar to other Cha Chaan Tengs, with a wide range of breakfast goods ranging from noodles, salt and pepper porkchop, eggs, spam sandwiches, french toast, & more. Portions may be on the smaller side, but the prices are mainly less than $10 so it was well worth it for a quick bite. Food was enough to satisfy, but wasn't outstanding.

Mahjong Cafe & Bar is a Hong Kong style restaurant. It attempts to encapsulate the classic HK taste and atmosphere. From the decor to the food, they’ve certainly nailed it! As for the food and drink, their HK style milk tea is very good and authentic. It’s accurately prepped and brewed (using the proper, traditional filter and strainer). Their Chicken Steak with Black Pepper Sauce over Spaghetti is also very good. The thick sauce has just the right amount of spiciness, and the chicken steaks are very tender. Overall, it stays true to the HK spirit especially when you order the classic dishes and drinks!

Food was bad. Price was bad. Service was worse and felt like I owe you guys when I went to pick up. And there’s no utensils or napkins. A small bowl of fishballs (shown in photos) that was supposed to cost $18. Do yourself a favor and delist yourself from Too Good to Go while you’re at it.

Definitely over priced. Just some fishballs and sausage do not worth $18.

Woks

I recently got takeout from woks and it was some of the most authentic and delicious Chinese food I've had in a while. I urge you to try this amazing restaurant. Will be back!

I tried the shrimp pad Thai, and it was fantastic! The noodles were perfectly moist, and the balance of savory and sweet flavors made every bite incredibly satisfying. It's a dish I'd definitely recommend—delicious and enjoyable from start to finish.

Emperor Seafood

Emperor Seafood never disappoints sinceI have been here many, many times over the years. Each time when I am here, the service, food and ambiance is always great. I love their dim sums here. Cooked to order and no trolleys circling the entire restaurant. Service is fast and friendly. Music is played just right and not too overwhelming. Prepare to wait during the weekends as this place gets filled up pretty fast. Wait time ranges from 30-45 minutes for a table of 4, faster if you do not mind sharing tables. Menus are simple and quality of food served during dim sum and dinner is always exceptional. For dinner, order the filet mignon with assorted vegetables, the popular lobster with ginger and scallions and the salt, snow pea shoots sautéed with garlic and the whole crispy garlic chicken. These are my personal favorites. They also offer private rooms for larger parties but there is a minimum that one has to spend. I had many parties in these well appointed private rooms. Parking is easy and if you spend more than $100 parking get validated in their designated parking garage.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are for. This is a good traditional cantonese place with decent prices. Staff is decent for a spot like this, food is on point. Great option in Flushing if you are looking for Cantonese.

Dhaka Garden

My family and I had an amazing experience here. We had Bangladeshi breakfast and it was freshly cooked and delicious. I’m not really sure why the ratings of this place are so low. It was very clean and the food was delicious. The owner, Kamal Pasha was very kind and friendly.

The worst Kacchi boriyani I had ever. We found 15ps black paper. All of Vorta was cold and feel like so old.

In Beijing

Traditional Beijing/Northern style Chinese cuisine. Food is not bad but is not good enough to justify the overprice. Plenty of seatings. Normally a wait line. Service not bad depending on waiter.

This spot is amazing. I'm not from this area and didn't know what to expect but this food was very delicious and comforting. I had the stewed beef potatoes and the lamb shank bone with broth. Never had anything like either of these dishes, they were very rich and full of flavor and for dessert I had the yogurt and honey. Everything was amazing and my server was the nicest person, she explained everything from what is in the dish to how to eat it. The other servers were equally amazing and enjoyed watching an American try their countries food. I'll definitely be coming back here with friends as the dish portions are large!
