Jin's Asian Garden
We have gotten take out twice from this restaurant and both times the food was excellent
First time I ordered, food was correct and served hot. The flavor was okay, but I thought I'd give them another shot. A few more visits and I began to accept the mediocre quality. The service has begun to decline. The portions are a good size.
New Great Wall 新長城
I've been living in Maine for almost 2 years and ended up here today thinking I was going to another restaurant, but I'm happy we made the mistake because I will make this place part of my rotation! The food is excellent, and the portions are plenty- the flavor is what I've been craving for many years. I'm happy I found it again! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
Been going there for almost 20 years. I just remembered the rice being phenomenal so went again 6-7 years ago to discover that the food was just as great as I remembered. Ever since then, I take the 30 minute drive to this one and only place every time I'm craving Chinese. Probably because it's the same 2 people behind the counter since I first went, but the food is always the same quality. Some people in these reviews have complained about the lady yelling but I think she's just trying to speak clearly (their first language is definitely Mandarin) And I'm 100% confident she doesn't mean any rudeness by it as I've had many interactions with the lady and she's always spoken that way, even with a smile on her face. The husband and her are phenomenal cooks and have their recipes down pact, I can heat up the meal the next day and it taste Just as good, and even when cold, the food is great the next day. They would probably know me by the guy that always orders 3-4 orders of chicken fingers every order along with the lo mein, gen chicken, pork rice and spring rolls. Seriously, every item I listed is the best I've ever had at any restaurant (and I've been up and down the east coast at many Chinese places from Maine, Boston, New York, to South Carolina, hey I like Chinese 🤷)
Panda Express
About three years ago I stopped at a Panda Express, in Pace, Florida. The service there was so bad I vowed to never try this restaurant chain ever again. I broke that vow and this experience changed my opinion. The young ladies were all beyond pleasant despite being very busy. When I was asked if I had ever been to a Panda Express, and I replied "No" the lady tripped over herself to help me understand the menu. She even took the time to set up the app on my phone and ensured I received the discounts and points on my first order. I liked the entire experience but I had to remove one star because of the cleaning supplies left in the customer's view. For me seeing a broom, a mop, or a cone...is an immediate 1-star removal. Other than that my opinion has significantly improved and my future experiences will have a benchmark this establishment created for me. I may even eat here again before I resume my road trip.
Thank you, Panda Express in American Canyon! Molly, the associate, was absolutely amazing. Her customer service was exceptional friendly, attentive, and welcoming. She went above and beyond, ensuring I received fresh, delicious food. Her positive attitude and helpfulness made my experience even better. I truly appreciate the outstanding service!.
Aberdeen Cafe 香港仔
Really great food, very friendly staff. The food was super hot and fresh, we watched them cook it up in the nice open kitchen by the dining area. Flavourful and perfectly cooked. Good selection of both main dishes and dim sum. Will definitely be back soon!
Had the sweet and sour pork lunch set. Sat at the bar and watched the 2 older Chinese guys cook my meal. Tasted nice, service was quick and attentive. No overwhelming amount of oil at the plate bottom. Best part of my jury duty day.
China House
1 star I don’t know how you mess up Chinese food, but they figured it out. I should’ve trusted my gut when they said our large to go order would be ready in 10–15 minutes. That should’ve been the first red flag. We ordered chicken fried rice, fried chicken, honey walnut shrimp, egg rolls, chow fun, and their so called house special spareribs. We showed up at the 10 minute mark and surprise….the food was already bagged and waiting. Should’ve walked away right then. The inside of the place looked old and neglected, surprising considering it’s on Main Street. But we were hungry, they had made the food, so we paid $87 and took it home. That’s where the real disappointment started. The fried chicken wasn’t wings, it was random dry chunks of meat, like bad karaage with zero flavor. The egg rolls were pitiful. Barely any filling, mostly soggy cabbage. The chow fun? Colorless, flavorless, just sad. The spareribs were chopped up, deep fried meat chunks. Saucy but somehow flavorless. Just depressing. The fried rice was bland and forgettable. Only thing decent was the shrimp, and even that wasn’t anything to write home about. $87 down the drain. I’m honestly mad. I don’t know who’s leaving good reviews but I swear they must be bots. This place needs a visit from Gordon Ramsay ASAP. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.
I've favored many Asian restaurants all over Northern California, but this place quickly shot to the top of my all time favorites! Best Kung Pau, best Walnut sauce, and the absolute BEST hot n sour soup ever! The walnut chicken and similar dishes elsewhere are often very overwhelming, but it is a perfect balance of sweet and salty from the nuts with savory, perfectly fried chicken. We made a 45 mile drive to try this and we will definitely be coming back often!
Uncle Wong Chinese Restaurant
I have been ordering from here for years. Always great service and tasty food. Best hot and sour soup I’ve ever had.
Small yet, Cosey. Appears family owned service. Its in a strip mall. Kind of old. But the food is great. Hot fresh ans fast.
Silver River Restaurant
We must’ve caught this place on a bad night. Between Nextdoor reviews and google reviews, most people say really good things. However, we won’t be back. The food was quite honestly not good. The rangoons had zero crunch- they were completely soggy. The sesame chicken was so over fried there was no chicken when you bit into it- tasted like dust. My husband said the kung pao chicken was “alright”. Sad our food experience wasn’t great :(
My kids Bought Chinese food here because of reviews but I'm sorry to say that your food is disgusting 😡😡. Starting with the combination fry rice so tasteless . The orange chicken 🐔🐔 was hard as a rubber 🥾🥾. Chicken chow mein 🐥🐥 so salty 🧂🧂🧂. And food prices are too high 🚀🚀🚀. I don't recommend this restaurant to buy or eat their food 👎👎. Please go somewhere else to spend your money 💰💰💰.
Dragon City
The food was amazing and service was exceptional here! Kind of pricey but it's to be expected for being in downtown Pleasanton. Our server was very sweet, patient, and attentive. Everything we ordered was just delicious. Very flavorful and fresh. I regret not getting a photo of every dish we ordered! The restaurant itself was nice and clean. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area. Thank you for the great lunch!
Visited this restaurant on a rainy evening in November. Who doesn't love hot Chinese food in such weather, when you also have good vegetarian options available too. Garlic Eggplant appetizer was on the sweeter side and was cooked perfectly. Chow Mein was also very good. Kung Pao Tofu was lacked flavor and gravy. Was expecting an explosion in my mouth but there was none. Service was fast and every dish was served hot and fresh.
China King
Have no choice put to rate it this way,as a truck driver it's difficult for us to get some decent take out that's not burgers or pizza from a truck stop.I finally had the opportunity of stopping by here, first and last time.Ill just leave it at that.
The food was absolutely delicious, made fresh, and you didnt have to wait long. The worker was really kind too. I reccommend this place to everyone.
China Wok
Let me start by saying I ALWAYS do good HONEST reviews wherever I go. Now... l ordered Pepper Steak and Shrimp Egg Rolls, everything looked very pleasing to the eye. Upon closer inspection I spotted blackish specks in the Pepper Steak. No big deal... I figured it was some sort of seasoning. Then my son says, "Is that a BUG?" So... I took a picture of it. You can decide for yourself, but that looks like some sort of BUG to me! I paid $22 for this nasty food. My advice to this establishment would be to start WASHING this "WOK" before You start cooking food for your customers!!! You could have added some additional cook time on the steak!Disgusting!! We threw this nasty food in the trash!
Good food, was fresh and tasty. I'll go back again for sure.
Shun Xing Restaurant
Wonderful people, they remember you and care, great family owned business. If I won the lottery I'd help them renovate
Great family run small business. The food is great and consistent everytime we go. Everyone there is extremely friendly and welcoming. If you go there often enough they remember you and your order making the entire experience much more welcoming. Overall it's a great local place for a quick dinner pickup
Hunan Village
First of all, I might be more critical since I came from China and I have developed an acquire taste for authentic Chinese food. Overall I think Hunan Village is a good place to satisfy your cravings for Chinese food. Please note that Lunch Specials are very good deals since they are under ten dollars and come with an Egg Rolls and Fried Rice. It is even offered on weekends. Dragon & Phoenix was very expensive, it is basically half shrimp and vegetables with half of the General Tao’s Chicken. General Tao’s Chicken was actually pretty tasty. Imperial Chicken has a good amount of chicken and mixed vegetables. The chicken was very tender, but the whole dish was slightly bland for my taste. I wouldn’t recommend the Moo Shi Pork, it is nothing special, and the wrap was breaking apart since they weren’t heated properly. Do not order the Boneless Spareribs, it wasn’t the spareribs, rather it was cut up Chinese BBQ pork with lots of sweet sauce. I did not like it. The Fried Meat Dumplings was pretty good, I liked the meat filling. Shrimp Tempura was good. Chicken on the Stick was not the best, I probably should ordered the Beef on the Stick. English speaking waitress knows the menu well enough to give you recommendations. Even though I didn’t order it while I was there, but I think Pu Pu Platter would be a good appetizer to try and it would impress your date.
Ordered PuPu platter and house fried rice takeout. Tasted like it was days old. The fried rice was a very dark brown and did not taste very good. This is the second time the food was awful. It’s sad because the food was good in the past.
