Amy's
The food was inedible, for a place that charges so much money they should be ashamed. I wish I could say one thing was good, but the sesame seed chicken with pork fried rice, barbecue ribs with pork fried rice, pork dumplings, and even the chicken wings and fries had to be thrown away. You should consider closing your doors.
I was looking for places to grab a quick bite after visiting the Met Cloisters. The lady was very sweet and courteous. The food was good and I gulped down the coconut boba(the cup was adorable).
New China
First day of the new year, I ordered my food at 6:30 and told me that it would be delivered in an hour. Just a call back and they forgot to put my order in but they still charge my card on time so people make sure you get your foodbecause I didn’t get mine
Very good place if you want to eat something fresh from Chinese cuisine. Small place, good location, decent prices, not bad option for your lunch break. They are very busy. No restrooms on premises. 3 tables for sitting inside, nothing fancy, they have a lot of delivery orders.
Oriental
Disgusting. Pubic hair in order of broccoli AND another one in vegetable dumplings. Do not eat here it’s gross. They purposely put public hair in food. ZERO STARS
Really solid chinese takeout!! Will be going back
Panda
No idea how others have rated this place poorly. The sesame chicken and wonton soup are absolutely MIND BLOWING. My go to for late night delivery, and probably the best Chinese takeout in both nyc and Westchester I’ve ever had.
I always DoorDash this order for delivery — orange chicken, egg drop soup, and cream cheese wontons. They’re always fresh, hot, and tasty. I feel like they put in love and effort in their food. The orange chicken actually has orange peel in the sauce!
China Gourmet
Very salty food, and if not very salty, very bland and not fresh. Fries were old and chicken wings as well. Usually such simple dishes to make… they somehow found a way to mess up every one of them… 🤦🏻♂️ Possibly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life… it was that bad… a shame, never wanna leave a bad review but goddamn…
This is by far the worst Chinese spot I have ever ordered from thier food is nasty omg the chicken wings stink like uncleaned live chicken the worst I ever tasted the fries hard stale old facts and when I bit into the egg roll omg it was filled with old Greece on the inside never again I don't know how this place remains open.
89 Eatery
This is probably the busiest restaurant inside Mott street eatery. Has duck and pork hanging in the window. You can walk up and order various dim sum and the meats with rice and vegetables. Tried the roast duck roast pork and scallion chicken. Surprisingly, the pork and duck we’re not very well flavored. However, the scallion chicken was delicious. The counter was quick to order at, and our food came quickly. There’s large tables that are communal/shared inside of the eatery that you can pop down for an finish your meal.
Between my wife and I we had fish congee, fried dough sticks, and the 4 meats with veggies combo and went through all of it. Food was great and can't find anything to complain about. Prices were very reasonable and portions were good. If we stop in the area (which we definitely will) we'd probably order from them again.
Big Wong
Big Wong, located in Chinatown, is a fantastic spot for classic Cantonese dishes at reasonable prices. We ordered the roast duck, beef with bitter melon on rice, Cantonese-style beef chow fun (湿炒牛河), and hot & sour soup. The roast duck was a highlight ,beautifully roasted with crispy skin and juicy, tender meat. The flavor of the duck was rich and savory, with just the right amount of seasoning. However, a word of advice: it’s best enjoyed hot because once it cools down, the fat tends to solidify, making it a bit greasy. Served alongside plum sauce, the roast duck was a delight, but you’ll want to dig in while it’s fresh. The Cantonese-style beef chow fun (湿炒牛河) was another standout. It consisted of stir-fried flat rice noodles, marinated beef slices, bean sprouts, onions, and green onions, all tossed in a delicious soy-based sauce. The noodles had a slight char, giving them a perfect crispness that paired well with the tender beef and savory sauce. The beef with bitter melon on rice was a comforting classic, with the bitterness of the melon adding a nice contrast to the savory beef. The hot & sour soup, however, had a bit too much vinegar for my liking, which overpowered the other flavors. The employees were helpful and friendly, providing great service despite the bustling atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, and it’s a little cheaper if you pay in cash rather than with a card, which is a nice tip for budget-conscious diners. Big Wong is an excellent spot for authentic Cantonese food, especially if you’re craving roast duck or beef chow fun
The crispy roasted pork here is amazing. Juicy and soft with a crunchy skin. The green beans were the best I ever had. The garlic was detectable! The restaurant decor is nothing but ugly. The service is fine. Come for the food. The prices are amazing. The most expensive item was the green beans.
No 1 Kitchen
The woman is nasty and she is a liar. Instead of charging me a fee for using a debit card under $10, she lied saying they were cash only. I was there just a few days earlier before I dyed my hair bright red and paid with a card. Horrible business practices.
This is a classic and staple of the area. They’ll make tofu taste like you’ve never had it before. Everything is delicious!
Hong Cheong Kitchen
This place was open late however the food wasn’t seasoned and it gave a friend food poisoning. Wouldn’t recommend.
Oohh man! The guy is simply a hard racist/abuser. He charged me an extra .50 cents for a $9.50 meal. He was indifferent to me and I could tell easily it was because he was simply stereo typing me and retaliating against me for the actions of other minorities. Further, this place has no where to sit. No chairs at all. Even when I asked for a menu. He denied me that. Not going back, EVER. 😣
Kim Tong
The staff are friendly but the food taste horrible the broccoli is hard as a rock. The rice was hard also. The meat was chewy like a gum. First and last time never buying from this place again also they have old appliances just sitting there in the front.
First time ordering here, ordered via their website and picked up. Food was ready within 20 minutes and was really really delicious for a hole in the wall Chinese place. Best I've had in the neighborhood. Really recommend the Pork Fried Rice and the General Tso's chicken. My roommate said the Crab Rangoon had a great crab flavor. Excited to come back.
Desi Indo-Chinese
Pathetic indo Chinese food, ordered paneer chilly and gobi manchurian, both has same gravy which is unlike any other manchurian gravy. Paneer tastes like rubber must be old and gone bad.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Although no vegan options were listed, I asked for 3 dishes I knew could easily be made vegan. Ordered the chana saag, eggplant, and okra. 10/10 on all three! None were overly oily or salted - they were just right. I’ll admit I’ve walked past this place many times because based on looks alone. I’ve never seen many people go in or out, and the inside isn’t impressive Glad I tried this place. I definitely won’t hesitate to order from here again.
Red Star
the food is horrible I ordered from there they rice is dry the general TSO chicken is bland they sweet plantains are not sweet they were fried and hard and they fried chicken wasn't crispy as ask and they are rude on the phone to be over price. food was nasty couldn't enjoy or finish my order
the person that u get delivery from she is literally rude . the food is small portioned and gross .
