In 30 some years of eating at Chinese restaurants, this is the first that makes it easy for non Chinese speaking people to order authentic Chinese food. I strongly recommend the dry cauliflower with garlic. I know, who goes to Chinese restaurants to eat cauliflower? But it is one of the best dishes.

Restaurant has a clean inviting atmosphere. Dining area is set separately from the bar and has cool lighting without windows to create a relaxed atmosphere. My waitress was very friendly, and she did a great job. The menu has New England style Chinese food, it is heavy with authentic original dishes and they also have some Japanese. Started with a hot and sour soup. It had nice complex flavors, the right thickness and the heat you would expect from an authentic restaurant. It was delicious. American Chinese pork fried rice and shrimp with lobster sauce were definitely on point. Rice was full of pork giving it a great flavor. A little egg and it would be perfect, absolutely no complaints though. Shrimp with lobster sauce was also nicely done. The shrimp were fresh and cooked right so they were tender. They do a nice job on the lobster sauce creating flavors without a ton of sodium. My two favorite dishes were off the authentic side. Crispy rice with mixed mushrooms. Amazing dish! Picture what looks like a bunch of rice crispy squares, covered in different mushrooms and a few other veggies in a bowl. My waitress poured a boiling broth over it when served. The rice in little chunks with crispy pieces was divine. For dessert I had the crispy milk curd. These little fingers of deliciousness were crispy on the outside with a warm, lightly sweet, custard style filling. So good! Definitely worth checking it out!

We hadn't had Chinese food since the place we always went closed. We've been looking for a new place and this was recommended. They were right! The food was delicious! Highly recommend. The prices are reasonable too.

It was my first time ordering here and I’m so glad I tried this place!! Everything was incredible. The service was fast and friendly. The prices are good and the food is delicious! I got the shrimp egg foo yung, veggie lo mein, an egg roll and the monkey brain. I got take out and my food was still hot and fresh when I got home. I will definitely be back and recommending to others!

The only area that was open was the counter to place an order. Now, they removed the barrier, so you may be able to eat in their seating areas. They have lunch and dinner special. The food quality is not consistent but not bad. This order in the image was from the lunch special: Garlic Shirmp with fry rice, Sesame Chicken with white rice, wonton soup, and shirmp egg roll for $18.25. The parking lot is connected to the establishment.

while the food is good....a grade above the standard fair for Chinese food...the EGG ROLL sets them apart!! i hate that most places have switched to the stick thin wonton wrapped " egg rolls", but this place still has the thicker egg roll with pork pieces etc....delicious... all the food we ordered was very good but that stood out! the inside of the restaurant could use a remodel....looks tired and dark...but food is good!!

I ordered almost $35 worth of food using doordash. The PuPu platter was all wrong. It was missing a bunch of items which they replaced with sweet n sour pieces. I ordered a root beer and they gave me a pepsi. The sesame chicken was sweet instead spicy and the rice was dry. The 5th picture I have no idea what it is. I didn't even order it. The white rice that came with the S&S Chicken was just a small scoop. Everywhere else its normally half pint. I gave it two stars just because I was able to eat some of it and my dog ate the rest.

Waste of my money. The chicken looks like it was sick. They should have never cooked it. We did not eat our meal.

Crab Ragoon's are fine, so are the donuts, but I ordered a Qt of shredded pork, not 98% vegetables. $14.35 for this? Absolutely unacceptable. I also noticed I ordered a Diet Coke and received Diet Pepsi with no indication if they were out or not. I'm pissed. This will be my last time coming here. Unless you order combos it seems they'll do their best to not even give you an oz of meat. What a scam.

The food was poorly nasty hard chicken that seems to be out to get steal.the rice tastes like it was under cooked. The sesame chicken taste like it was just hard ends threw it together 39.00 for old food DONT EAT FROM THERE .when I called to asked she said best french fries in town LIES AND MORE LIES

This is the first time I have eaten such unpalatable starch sausage. It is really unpalatable. I am not picky. My son ate half of it and it was so unpalatable that he couldn’t eat it. I haven’t eaten it again. The squid was also surprisingly unpalatable. Help everyone avoid lightning!是能说巨巨巨难吃 帮大家避雷。

All are delicious! Every time I come here, I definitely order stinky tofu!

If you're not Asian be prepared to wait, they'll place their own peoples orders ahead of others that have been waiting longer for the same exact food. Unbelievable!!! I'll say that the food is good, not great, but good. The price is matches the food quality.

Is ok

For this kind of authentic special Chinese food, it's pretty hard to find it anywhere in NYC. The owners are friendly and the atmosphere there is more like small bistros in France but in Chinese northern style. The seafood is fantastic - grilled oysters, Japanese dressing claw-fish salad, king crabs, huge clams. If you love drinking, here is heaven. The owner sometime will serve you some good Chinese Soju and appetizers on house. I love here and will definitely come here more often. PS. The waiter is busy there as the other post pointed out but if you can remind him a bit, it helps and works great!

Awful experience. I took the subway for 40 minutes to flushing, and I still have no idea why I chose this restaurant that day. Restroom is extremely dirty like nobody cleans it for a year, the waiter does nothing when I point this out. Fair taste but I highly doubt how did they get a sanitation license.

So many delicious dishes to choose from. They are all so tasty and the best part is that it’s so damn cheap. If you want something cheap ans lots of choices to choose from, you can consider this place.

I really liked this place. It had all of my core values in place for when I usually go for a meal- good pricing, good portion size, and reasonably healthy. Food reminds me of the type you cook at home, not a lot of oil or salt or sugar, which is a huge pro because I think most restaurants overdo it on those things and make it unhealthy to eat out. Authentic home cooked food. Chicken combo for 11 dollars, also good wontons.

We only Take out so I cant really give a review on inside! But we love the food here!! They are always so accommodating with special food needs. Food is Always hot and on time when picking up. Will only eat at this restaurant for Chinese.

Stopped here after a friend's recommendation. We had just enough time to eat, then get to our flight. This place was superb. I got the fried pork dumplings to start, and they were phenomenal. I kept it safe, so I got the sesame chicken & fried rice. It was really good though. Service was good, but we were the only ones in the restaurant. If you need a solid Chinese place in Park Slope, definitely add this place on your list.

This Brooklyn Chinese food spot is worth every penny. While prices may be higher than usual, the quality and taste are exceptional. The ambiance when you walk in is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal.

We hosted my aunt’s celebration of life here and could not be more grateful that this is the venue we chose! Not only is the atmosphere so cozy inviting, but the food and drinks are top notch. More than anything, it’s the incredible people at Alchemy that truly make the experience special. We were treated with such warmth, kindness and grace during the planning leading up to the event and throughout the duration of the event itself. The staff at Alchemy went above and beyond to accommodate every single request we asked for. They were wonderful to work with and made every guest feel at home in their space. Multiple guests commented on the heartfelt service we received during our time here. I can go on and on about how special this place is, but I’ll just say if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Emily and the Bubble Bar was probably the best decision I made when planning my daughter’s graduation party! She was great with the guests, drinks were plentiful and it was SOOO CUTE! Would recommend and hire her again!
