Panda Express
I was on the line and I saw how small portions of food customers are getting. It's way less comparing to other Panda Express. Server's hand was shaking... to trying to give less food. I walked out. Students are always hungry! Berkeley is college town.
Food is great, and I really like going here for a quick bite. However, they repeatedly advertise themselves as being vegetarian friendly but never have their eggplant tofu dish, their single meatless entree, but never have it available despite it being on the menu. Three times I’ve gone in this week to grab a bite with friends, and simply due to my dietary restrictions, I’ve had to get my own food from elsewhere. Not vegan/vegetarian friendly, especially in a location like Berkeley.
Noodles Fresh | UC Berkeley Campus Chinese Cuisine
very yummy, especially for the price! the staff were really nice, too, and kept checking in on us.
Not sure why they serve takeout plastic plate when dining in. The noodle is simple and rough lack of ingredients and only a few pieces of beef. worth $5 and charge $17. If you do business like that no one is gonna come in
Chang Luong Restaurant
This is a hidden gem on Durant Ave. The restaurant looks like it's a family-run place that's good for a chill dining-out experience (there's a wait for the food but it's worth it). If you're looking for authentic spicy cuisine from North China, this is a good place to start. There's plenty of space for families and large groups. The restaurant is on the second floor and you'll need to take the stairs past the Korean restaurant. It's not a difficult climb but it also means the place is not wheelchair-friendly. Payment accepted via cash or Venmo.
The food was Amazing!!! Sure it had slightly dim lighting and an interesting atmosphere, but if you want good food, at a good price, being cooked right behind you right after you order, this is the place to go. Service was fast, the chef and assumed owner was nice!
Wok House
One of the only restaurants I've eaten at that has properly cooked their tofu dishes. The tofu is crispy and has a good coating, and they provide the sauce separate so the tofu isn't soggy. Please keep it up!
WH does know their Cantonese American. Can serve up the tradition like their chow mein. Not to be confused with the stir fried noodles, lo mein, which is what you get out west when requesting chow mein. Can recommend chow mein. Hi-ho, werewolves of London.
Quick Chinese Restaurant
I ordered online shrimp fried rice and an eggroll. Online it says it charges 3% transaction fee if you use a credit card. My eggroll was good. The shrimp fried rice was not up to par. I do not see how you can mess shrimp fried rice up. I received yellow rice with shrimp. It was very bland. The soy sauce did not help. I ended up trashing my food.
I have been searching for a really good Chinese Restaurant since I moved here and finally found one! Great Egg Rolls! Chicken Lo Mein is delicious with a great amount of Chicken, Veggies and Sauce! Very flavorful! Reminds me of New York Style Chinese Food Bold and Flavorful! Fresh cooked food while you wait, not pulled out of a warmer tray! Generous portions and very fair prices.
Panda Express
Every time i come to this place there is always a problem. Manager always has an attitude & they are always training employees.!! I spent more than 15minutes for them to serve my plate into small portions because they ran out of plates!! i had to explain them what i wanted multiple times the guy was confused he had no idea of how to serve and I got half of what i was supposed to get on a regular plate because my SMALL boxes were not even full. They tried to put 2 entrees on top of each other and i requested them separated since one of them had spicy chili the girl serving said on a rude manner (that was going to eat them together either way) how as i going to mix entrees if i had TWO separate plates? they were just so rude. Very disappointed . Its really close from my house but not coming back! I’ll rather drive 30+ to a different location. if i could give a -10 for this time i would. oh and i Only came home to find one pz of beef on my brócoli beef (like 5) & burnt egg on my dry flavorless rice! Also Last time i was here i got BURNT black teriyaki when i requested to get a better pz she took out the back pieces and put it back on my plate . I also had broccoli beef for which i was told to get something else MANAGER said to wait . A new batch of broccoli beef came out she served everyone else in the line . i had already paid for my food and when i asked her for my food she said oh you still need to wait. I WAITED 20minutes that day for a second batch. Very disappointed. Never coming back.
Panda used to be the spot, and the food still is good overall but can anyone figure out what has happened to the Teriyaki chicken, it LOOKS HORRIBLY GROSS, used to have nice grill marks on it with a dash of crisp to the edges and now it looks like a pot of boiled chicken and fatty meat.
China Wok
Everywhere I go, the chicken is overcooked and very tough, but not here! I've eaten here 4 or 5 times and it has been soft, juicy and plentiful everytime! My favorite take out for sure!
I placed an order for General Tso's Chicken (Dinner Combination Plate) and Imitation Crabmeat Rangoon (8ea). I knew what I wanted so it took no time to tell them and they had me pay and took no time at all. I figured I would sit at the table and wait for the food to get done and snap an updated photo of their menu. I took a photo of the back and front of the menu and a moment later they said the food was done. Super speedy. I took the food home (15 minutes away at a hotel) and it was still warm. The general Tso's Chicken tasted like you'd expect. Huge chicken chunks. Everything was cooked and tasted great in my opinion. If they packed in more to that dish, it would've been too much to eat. The 8 cream cheese Rangoons were also delightful. 3 is never enough for me... But 8 most certainly is. They gave me a small container of sweet and sour sauce and I never ran out of it. Overall - great tasting food. Menu screen has the expected sun fading as is often seen in these types of restaurants... But I used their paper menu they had next to the order window anyway. Their menu is really busy looking - but if you take a moment to take it all in, it starts to make sense. The speed of the order is what really stood out to me and was appreciated. The ONLY thing I would improve would be their verbal communication (volume) and putting plastic ware in the bag. I would eat here again!
China Wok
Everything I ordered was very good. Especially dumplings are my favorite. It's the most delicious dumpling I've ever eaten.
I got the Kung pow chicken with chicken fried rice instead of pork. It was a two dollar up charge. I also ordered crab Rangoon. It only has cream cheese in it just to let you know I don’t even taste any crab. It came with a side of sweet-and-sour, which was nice the staff was pleasant But the food they used like yellow rice instead of white rice, which kind of changes the taste of the Chinese food, which is interesting. It did not have very much flavor. I was told that this place was one of the better takeout Chinese places in Jacksonville. I honestly think Jimmy Fus’s is way better. Just not for me .
Pei Wei Asian Express
Went to charge the car and stopped to get food here. Got a 3 item combo with bourbon chicken, Kung pao chicken and Mongolian steak. Everything was hot, tasted pretty good and the portions were pretty big. The employees were really nice also.
One of the good Chinese food places in town, located in the Avenues mall food court. The food is always fresh, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and very affordable prices. The service is very fast.
Bamboo Wok
It was a takeout order so I can give it as a one star for the ambiance atmosphere was something in the background like TV was way too loud. They couldn't understand me. Took three people to understand that they were charging me approximately $88 for two meals. I paid online when the order was placed. They said it wasn't although they could see on the receipt of $5 tip was paid so I told him take the $5 tip off. I paid with a second card. Now I have to try to get my $44 back on another means avoid this place. They don't know what they're doing. The food is okay, just par everything that ends with wok is just par. They're all the same so go to the one that treats you correctly
This Chinese restaurant is the Best place that I have ever ordered from. The customer service is Beautiful. The food is always always always AMAZINGLY FRESH and DELICIOUS. This Chinese restaurant is always clean, neat, fresh and organized. Very clean and you will never be disappointed when you choose to eat here. A very happy and friendly place to dine in or grab and go. Either way you are in the right place.
Panda Express
Long time regular. I usually go for lunch 5 to 6 days a week through their drive thru without any problems until I came across Corina. Third time of dealing with her rudeness was the final straw for me. I reported her to what I guess was the manager Eliza. She apologized and said she would let the GM know. I doubt that will do anything though. It's a shame because all the other drive thru employees are very professional and polite but I refuse to give my business to a restaurant that lets this rudeness go on. Again, this was my third time dealing with Corina. I blame management for this. I guess this Bartram location has so many customers they could care less about losing a 5 to 6 day regular. Maybe your management needs to go back and explain what customer service is seeing its us customers who pay their salary. Too many restaurants in this area to put up with rudeness and disrespect. Needless to say I will not be back.
I ordered two medium-sized boxes, but they sent one medium and one small instead. It was too far to return and fix their mistake, which was very inconvenient. On top of that, I lost money since the price difference is significant. This was a terrible experience—deceiving customers is unacceptable!
China99
Came to pick up 2 UberEats orders. Upon approaching the counter, I tried to say "hello, I'm here to pick up-" & before I could even finish my sentence, the lady at the counter goes "it'll be a few minutes" & walks away. That's fine, but she at least could have let me tell her the names of the orders. She walks by again & when she comes back by the counter, I try to tell her which orders I'm there for, so I say "excuse me, I'm picking up 2-" and AGAIN she cuts me off & goes "yeah yeah I know, we're busy." I completely understand being busy, that's fine, but her attitude was REPULSIVE. I will not eat here nor pick up orders from here again. They also had their pens up front for customers in a cup filled with BLUE MOLDY RICE!!! 🤮🤮🤮 I work in a restaurant too, and I am disgusted by this place & their lack of hygiene, health code violations & customer service. 0/10. Don't go here.
Service was fine but some of the WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had. The boneless spare ribs are hard, almost crunchy and have a bitter flavor. The egg roll also was not very good. It all tastes old/stale.
