I got chicken lo mein, pepper steak and onions, pork fried rice, and an egg roll. Everything was good. Nobody goes to a Chinese place for atmosphere they go for takeout. The portions were good and very reasonably priced.

Only one chef on the line. Very kind, but was scolded for "you have to call in first". Otherwise a great corner Chinese spot. **update 6/2024** I called in my order as advised by the staff. Still got reprimanded.i was the only customer. They got the order wrong, food noticeably under portioned, and took 30 min for a stir fry and dumplings. And the attitude given by the staff all around, as if i was an inconvenience.

Tried to give them a chance but they have low ratings for a reason. Food IS NOT fresh especially the chicken. Plus they got my order wrong. Just save your money

Quality varies wildly depending on when they get seafood restocked.... which is not very often. The odds are against you. The tanks are not maintained properly and disease spreads fast to new stock. Yup weee I'm not eating horrible tasting lobster anymore because i chose LIFE!

Very limited parking. We had a good service. The food came out fairly quickly. We ordered the steak with onion. The meat was cheap and not good at all. We also ordered the Beef Chow Fun, which was very good. The Sweet and Sour Pork chops were average. The steamed short ribs were also very good.

First time here, I saw a picture in their reviews and decided to get it since it looked good. I got roast duck & roast pork with white rice. They only serve white rice. I didn’t like the duck, only the pork. The pork has a sweet taste to it, very nice. I’ll definitely be back just for that. Sucks they had no sweet & sour, duck sauce, or hot sauce. But I figure that all authentic restaurants don’t carry these sauces. That’s green sauce in the picture. It’s some type of ginger sauce, I forgot what exactly.

I fondly remember this place from prepamdemic. It was a great spot to get inexpensive, good cantonese roast meats. The food variety now remains with my favorites of noodles and rice and your options of roast meats. They recently expanded their opening hours into the later night so people can enjoy after work, too. The prices are still pretty decent compared to how expensive and problematic quality for roast meats can be. But their portions do feel smaller now. At night, there's not a lot of people but also not a lot of stock left. However, they seem to always have enough for that late night bowl of noodles to just satisfy a craving. Now that it's a snowy and chilly time, that is even more welcome. The ownership has changed from when it used to be King's Kitchen, and service is a bit more sparse. However, the waitress I had was very attentive and friendly. I'm glad to see this place open into the night again and I hope they do well.

Ordered beef over noodles, apparently this Chinese restaurant likes using instant ramen… majority of the dish was noodles, maybe 3 pieces of beef

They sell primarily Fuzhounese food here. The fuzhounese wonton was kinda salty and didn’t have a lot of meat. So I wouldn’t recommend the fuzhounese wonton here. But the pork bun was huge and had generous filling. And the mix beef noodle soup was good! So overall pretty good, it you don’t wanna go all the way to 8th Ave for more Fuzhounese food options.

Xiaolungbao are a steamed bun wheat dough style I first had in Taiwan. Absolutely addictive. Saw some folks roll out with 600 of them so call ahead for a big order. Take a small bite off the top and splash a little siracha in there and just leave me tf alone. Soooo goooood. Broth and dumplings also fresh and delicious.

Came for fuzhounese breakfast. We didn’t feel like walking all the way to 8th ave, but the taste/quality is quite similar to places there. Got the guobianfu (rice flake soup- believe they labeled it rice paste?) and some pastries. Also got the fuzhounese bamboo with red sauce and pork (google tells Me it’s called red glutinous wine lees in English) to go. It was very good and saved us the hassle of prepping the bamboo and making it.

I went there multiple times and got scammed, I ordered a serving of peanut noodles that was $3 dollars, my friend went days later and paid $4. I ordered chow mein and got another type of noodle which costed 6 dollars but paid 10. I tried to order a plate of noodles(a metal plastic big tray) for my church and got told it was 50 ish dollars but I told them to just fill it up with normal size portions which came out to 18 dollars. What a scam don’t go to this place, they scam kids and unaware elderly

Xiang Hotpot-Brooklyn

I had an amazing experience at Xiang Hot Pot! The food is outstanding (fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced). The variety on the menu is impressive, with options for everyone, whether you’re a meat lover or vegetarian. The atmosphere is just as good as the food. The space is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is attentive and friendly, always making sure we had what we needed. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in, and the service made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!

The hot pot was good but I’ve tried better, the medium spicy was super spicy and had me choking 😅, I likes the coconut chicken broth better, I love that it was a all you can eat, the crispy and sweet rice cakes where delicious, it was fun to watch the bear melt and turn into soup. The sauce bar was great as well, the waitress was very sweet and the lady up front explained to us how to order which was also helpful, even though it took some time for them to bring us some dishes.

I've tried a lot of takeout spots in Brooklyn, and most of them have a similar taste—which I actually like. This place stands out with its generous portions. They don't skimp on the meat; in fact, most of the time, my box has more meat than rice! I'm lucky to live nearby because the food here is a real treat. They keep the seasoning mild, so you can adjust the flavor to your liking with the sauces. Of all the places, this one wins.

The food Gods have blessed this place. You can see the time and attention they put into the preparation of the food. I believe I have found another hidden gem to add to my takeout menu rack. It's a small store but it provides a nice view with big windows. Amazingly clean. I'm returning to work through the menu.

Ordered fried Jumbo shrimp & got it fried in dumpling batter...idk who has ever fried food with dumpling batter but i highly doubt that their fried chicken is in dumpling batter. Called to ask for regular fried Jumbo shrimp & was dealt with rudely. Don’t know about any of their other food but make sure they understand what kind of food you’re requesting.
