New One Lucky
Very nice people and service. She was understanding and kind taking my order. Also very fair prices!
I got a half a chicken with white rice and never got my completed order. The lady in there gave me half a thigh. Half of a half of the breast and the drumstick and the little chicken wing to replace the missing. That's not right. I'm going to report it to the board of health today.
Szechuan Delight 川園 Chinese Food
I ordered Kung Pao chicken, General Tsos, and Crab Rangoon for takeout. The rangoons were soggy and mostly empty, like 90% dough. The KP chicken was 50% celery and had no flavor. I was craving Chinese so badly but this was really disappointing. The egg roll was also limp and flavorless. There’s much better spots in the area, I would avoid this place next time.
The Chinese restaurant is located in the Dyker Park section of Brooklyn. I ordered scallops with brown rice. It was typical and had average taste. The shrimp and lobster sauce was disappointing. The shrimp were good but the sauce was salty. The sauce had no meat, vegetables or scallions. Very plain with little taste. The chicken with black bean sauce consisted of very little sauce with mostly green peppers and onions. The dumpling noodle soup was a good portion but the soup was very salty. The total was over $40 and the customer according to the menu receives a free pint of lo mein. I placed the order by phone and was not informed about the free pint of lo mein. The person taking the order first offered a soda and then an egg roll. I stated that I am entitled to a free pint of lo mein and the person sounded like he would reluctantly give it to me. I arrived at the restaurant which is basically a takeout with several tables for dining. I paid for the order with my card and he seemed annoyed that it was not cash. If you don't want to accept cards or provide free food items then I suggest you update and change your menu. The customer service needs an upgrade.
Double Dragon
Authentic family owned Chinese food restaurant. Grew up going to this spot, I still love to stop by to see my favorite people and pick up some delicious food before heading back over the bridge. Staten Island can’t make Chinese food like Brooklyn!! The best chicken broccoli, half chicken cut, sweet and sour chicken I’ve had anywhere. They also have the good hot sauce if you know what I mean, the thicker red one 😂 this is also one of the only places that has reasonable prices and hasn’t jacked their prices up throughout the years. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars
The man that works there was very rude and yelled at me when I asked if they could cook a little more the wing
