Chen Xiao Zhu Restaurant
Delicious authentic Chinese food
Nutritious Chinese Food
Local, healthy and super affordable, yet delicious Chinese food. I order about once a week. It's not oily like other NYC Chinese food and stays down easy in your belly. Owner makes food with care and sends you off with a smile. Please support your local small businesses.
Stopped in to pick up some dumplings to throw in a soup at home. It’s a one-woman show in there, and she’s doing great. Gave us extra dumplings, which are delicious!! Great value for the price.
LOTUS ASIAN FUSION RESTAURANT
The restaurant is located in the Marine Park section of Brooklyn near the Kings Plaza shopping mall. They prepare Chinese cuisine and is basically a takeout with several tables for dining in. I ordered the shrimp/pork wonton soup. The wontons are small and the soup broth consists of cabbage instead of the usual bok choy. The egg rolls and dumplings were good. The shrimp and lobster sauce consisted of a nice thick egg-based sauce with small shrimps. Peas and carrots were in the sauce. The pan-fried noodles with chicken were separated. The pan-fried noodles were fresh and crunchy. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The pad see ew had a nice chewy noodle texture with a balanced sweet soy sauce mixture along with the pad Thai which had an extra crunchy peanut topping. The crispy beef had a delightful crispy outside while maintaining its soft inside.
Chuan Tian Xia
Amazing Sichuan cuisine. The flavors are incredible and like nothing I've ever had in the U.S.
I was impressed with this restaurant. Beyond the rich flavors of the food, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of this trendy spot. The atmosphere is warm, with music at a comfortable volume, and the attention to detail in the utensils and ceramics is noticeable, curated perfectly for the occasion. The entire team was kind and exceptionally helpful, guiding me through the menu and explaining what to expect from each dish. The food itself is fantastic--I love spicy food, and they prepared it to perfection.
Cactus
Their steak is forever uncooked but the overall flavor is okay.. Additional: I appreciated that they gave me a new order but I can tell the difference between burnt & cooked. Idk if it was a sick joke but I honestly NEVER complain about my food until that day. No one should have to experience that.
Ordered the lunch special Mexican rice chicken and black beans. It was alright, the best part was that it only cost $7 though.
Nuan Xin Rice Roll
The restaurant itself is tiny, its only take out which is fine since I associate rice rolls with grab and go anyway. The price hovers around $5 to $6 which I would say is affordable. The taste is fine, overall a solid cheap eats.
My husband absolutely loves this place. The rice rolls are really different and very simple. One roll can fill you up really good. Don't order their drinks though. Didn't have any good experience with their drinks.

I think many 1 star reviews here do not understand FJ culture/food. Many complaints I see are invalid. I’ve been there a few times and got the family combo deal, with today’s inflation, you can’t get any prices like this with made to order restaurants. 3 small entrees from $24 (FREE rice (everywhere rice costs like $2/mini bowl) and is designed for 2-3 adults) and comes with a soup too? I’m down. I treat these small entrees like Spanish tapas, it’s a great deal, the flavors not Michelin star, but come on, what is there to complain for for an affordable meal, that still can give you variety.
Been here multiple times for lunch and dinner. They have a big spacious table in the back that can accommodate my family. I heard there is also a private room, will ask about it next time. When we come, my parents always order their seafood - crabs, lobsters, conch, etc. I'm usually not a fan of conch but it is delicious here. The conch is sliced thin but still has a good crunch and the cucumbers pair well. One other dish that I surprisingly enjoyed was the oyster pancake. I typically don't eat oysters (raw or cooked) but it was so good - my toddler loved it too. I am always finding yummy new things to try each time I come here.
New Restaurant On 58 St.
Good old Chinese restaurant for Cantonese dishes! We had the razor clams, Taiwanese cauliflower with pork belly, and braised ox tail with lotus roots. Great portions and good wok hey. Would love to come back and try other dishes!
We ordered two dishes to go from here. The first one is pork chop with pepper and salt. The second one is black pepper sauce beef short ribs. Those are yummy and pair well with rice. We paid a total of $39 for two dishes.
Happy House
I enjoyed both meals i had here. I had the fried wings with garlic sauce with fried rice and it was fantastic. The rice was well seasoned and the garlic sauce was delicious. The next time i tried them i had the chicken broccoli with garlic sauce and again was amazing. New to the area and this will be my new go to for Chinese food. The lady who took my orders was kind.
Ordered some food got the food within five minutes from when I ordered. Ate a little bit from it Woke up with stomach pain, vomiting, and I had to go to the hospital so I would say Never again. I should give them the hospital bill And I should’ve known cause the place was dirty Should have never eaten there.
Family Kitchen
Food is just ok. The staff is not very friendly. This is just a take-out restaurant. There are only 2-3 tables in the place. It is not welcoming. They are cash only. They have a QR code you can scan to order if you want to use credit or debit. The atm inside works sporadically with a $2.99 fee as of 12/24- so bring cash. Just the basic American/Chinese Food restaurant.
Food was fresh and portions are decent. Order was accurate and quick. Customer service was friendly.
New China
Today, I came here (based on the good rating) and was simply shocked. Shocked by the unsanitary conditions and the filth around. What struck me the most was the person in the kitchen—he was mixing noodles with his bare hands, without gloves, and without even washing his hands after cleaning a dirty table. It was a horrifying sight. I think eating here is very dangerous for one's health. NOT RECOMMENDED DANGEROUS COCKROACHES
ok so imma be super honest here. the place itself is very dirty and seems old. but the food is really good, i would recommend the pork fried rice. the food was steaming hot and stayed that way until i got home. the cashier was chill, but he was hard to understand and spoke very fast. they do only take cash tho so just be aware. overall pretty solid
Bamboo Garden
The food was extremely disappointing, with most dishes lacking any flavor. The egg rolls were still frozen inside, and the beef and chicken dishes were mostly bones with very little meat. We didn’t end up eating most of the food. Even the fortune cookies were stale. Honestly, even a small takeout spot would have been far better than this. I won’t be returning.
Cart service ✅ Banquet-style dining room ✅ All the hits are legit: cha siu (roast pig), haw gao, shu mai ✅ Reasonable prices ✅ Would skip the crispy pork and cha siu bao next time. Service is about average for a big, loud, and busy Chinese restaurant.
