Golden Pagoad Chinese Restaurant
Food is good. Service is pretty good. I wish they had Coke Zero. We will definitely be back. A lot of dishes left to try. My only critique, the fried rice was a little on the dry side and the chairs weren'tvery comfortable. Rodrigo served us well.
They finally remodeled the place. Looks so much better inside! Didn’t really notice a change in the food, but we always loved it so that’s no problem! Did have to ask the waiter to turn down the volume because they had two TVs and the radio all three going at once. But he did that with no issue.
Qing Qing league city
EDAMAME 🫛 I came here for dinner and spent $30 on an appetizer and a dinner plate. I did not enjoy the general Tso chicken or fried rice. Food was hot and fast but not the best tasting and loaded with sodium!
Great Chinese food! Limited seating but it seems like they do more take out business. Prepared order super fast and was made to order fresh. The egg rolls where crispy and flaky. The staff was friendly and informative.
Golden Fountain Chinese Restaurant
I have been going to this restaurant for 20 years but hadn’t been there in the last two years, when I walked in I was completely surprised to see that the restaurant is in shambles and a mess and was only for takeout. I ordered my take out meal and when I got home I was totally disappointed in the food it was soaked in grease and was overcooked and bunt. Never in my life have I ever experience this at a Chinese restaurant, it went directly into the Trash Can, not to say, it cost me $35.00 dollars plus the Tip..
It is a Chinese restaurant like any other, however it has been in the same location and under the same owners since the 80's. Typical Chinese menu, the waiter's attention was exceptional.
Fortune Ocean
First time we ordered, fantastic.. 2nd time it was ok! dried sweet n sour chicken and kid said general tsos tasted funny and 3rd time just disgusting!!! i knew someone who got lobster sauce shrimp and it smelled AMAZING (not from here) So i just had to try it. This place it smelled like shrimp and that's all!!! I ate two shrimp thinking smell maybe deceiving, nope just shrimp taste. I drained the broth and barely any shrimp for $12!!!! (see pict below) Tried szechuan wontons and it taste like sweet bbq sauce, yuk!!!!! I've had szechuan sauce it it does taste like bbq sauce. Husbands bourbon chicken was dry and so was chicken on stick. I think this place cuts corners ALOT!!!! or just doesn't care about taste or quakity. Last time we spend money here! and btw thanks for the sams cheap ¢25 cola for a $60 order!
Food was terrible. Tasted dusty, stale, and just bad. Interior was Poor, slightly better than the curbside appeal though.
SENG LING Chinese kitchen
Nice little place but geared for take out, there are a few tables but ambiance is not a strength! The food however is excellent and very generous and reasonable!
Restaurant is always very clean, food is always delicious and hot! We live close by and it’s always a great option for an easy meal to pick up. Reasonably priced as well.
Hong Kong Chinese Kitchen
Great local Chinese food! Food is fresh and crispy! Clean restaurant with great customer service! Offers online ordering to separate themselves from the rest! Glad to have this back after being gone for years!
I've never been inside but I LOVE your guy's Sesame Chicken! You give a hefty amount of food and it's DELICIOUS 😋 One of the best Chinese restaurants!! And THANK YOU for being open today on a "holiday"! It's truly appreciated 😊
China King
I used to love this place. Now I can’t even place and order because they won’t pick up the phone. Why even have a restaurant if you don’t want to serve food to customers?
Very friendly, has always been a welcome addition to the Cambridge village. In a town overran with pizza restaurants their American Chinese menus really breaks up the take out meal solution. You can trust the quality and timelines the staff provides.
Yuen Sing
Hands down the freshest, best Chinese everything I’ve ever had in my life, seriously it’s amazing not blended flavor or grease and salt, you can taste every individual ingredient in everything they make.. I can’t believe I finally found GOOD Chinese food… fair prices…. Mind blowing Chinese food dead ass!
I can't even begin to tell you my first experience here, it was mind blowing AMAZING!! I will not go anywhere else but this place! 5 stars? More like 10 stars. It tasted great not only that night, but the next day heated up in the microwave. Sweet and sour chicken NO fat at all on the meat. And they were NOT soggy because they had amazing respect and had the sauce on the side. Crab Rangoon where outta this world and cooked to perfection. Pork fried rice never had anything better. Yuen Sing keep up the great work, I'll be meeting you in person.
China Wok
This is where we go for Chinese Takeout now. Started here when we moved, then switched to Fortune House which went downhill around covid so then it was Peking House, had issues so switched again to Ming. They started having issues so back to China Wok for now. The best Chinese takeout in town is China Cottage but they have been closed and it takes to long to get home with it, plus they have been closed for renovations. China Wok is the next best and should probably have been four stars but I added one star for all the one star reviews coming from people that don't realize all the battered fried chicken at takeout places with the exception of sweet and sour and lemon chicken come from the same food service supplier. All of it. It's the same for every takeout place in town except Panda which has their own supply chain. Yes, it's mostly batter and the crab rangoon doesn't contain real crab which was a real shock. /s China Wok is generous with portions including the meat and is a good value in my opinion. Don't take my word for it, just look at the char siu pork and vegetable photo. This is a usual portion. If you get soup and a couple apps you can easily split an entree. The soups and appetizers are usually pretty good if they don't burn the crap out of the boneless spare ribs. Fried wings in particular are great, I eat them with mumbo sauce which I wish they had but they don't so I make my own. Ma Ploy spring roll sauce or Underwood Ranch sriracha for most everything else. Other condiment suggestions (since the little packs are not good) would be gold plum Chinkiang vinegar and lots of white pepper. Shrimp can be a little gummy sometimes but still better than Peking House where all the proteins are always gummy.
Be careful if you eat here on Saturday or Sunday. The lunch specials are Monday-Friday 11am-3pm. The menu doesn't say that but they will quick increase the price to a normal size meal without letting you know. Even if you point to it and order it from that section of the menu.
China One
1/1/25 i believe the owners have changed recently or over the past year? We skip the buffets and do Chinese food take out for New Years tradition. China One still has exceptional American Chinese food. The boneless pork ribs, pork fried rice, Mie Fun, lo mein and crab ragoon are done really well! The meat on a stick, chicken & beef teriyaki were both not really on the mark for teriyaki flavor and the beef was bubble gum chewy. The folks behind the counter were very friendly and the store was bright and clean. We know what we like and just order. The pictured food ran us $70-$80… The price seemed a bit high to be honest, but tradition is tradition and good Chinese food can be hard to come by. Old review:Not since I left the Boston area have I found American Chinese food this good.
This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I’ve tried them all. Great quality and flavor. Big chunks of chicken. Not those deli slices like the other places. Spicy or mild. They’ll make it any way you like. I’m addicted. Have to go there at least once a week. They are very nice as well.
Lunasia Dim Sum House
One of the best Dim Sum in SGV. This Alhambra favorite lives up to the hype with both quality and variety. The dining space is modern and always bustling, but if you time it right, you can skip the crowd. We came on a Monday at 12:30pm, zero wait, walked right in. Weekends, though? Be ready for a long line. Fortunately, they use a Yelp waitlist, which makes the wait a bit easier to manage if you're planning ahead. We ordered 5 dim sum today: Spinach Shrimp Dumpling: Translucent wrapper, juicy shrimp, and fresh spinach. Clean, light, and flavorful. Shrimp Cheung Fun: Smooth rice noodles wrapped around tender shrimp with a soy sauce on the side classic and comforting Beef Balls: Springy and savory, served on some veggies with worcestershire sauce on the side Bolo Bun (Pineapple Bun) with BBQ Pork: This one hit all the marks. Crunchy, golden topping with warm, soft bread and a rich, sweet-savory BBQ pork filling. The textures here are unbeatable. Mala Cake (Cantonese Brown Sugar Cake): Soft, spongy and sweet. Service was quick and efficient, and dishes came out hot. Prices lean a bit upscale for dim sum, but the portions and quality more than justify it
Lunasia Dim Sum in Alhambra is a fantastic spot for an authentic and delicious dim sum experience! The variety on their menu is impressive, and each dish is carefully crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The dumplings are generously sized and bursting with flavor - the shrimp dumplings (har gow) are plump and perfectly steamed, and the siu mai is savory and satisfying. The crispy shrimp rolls and egg tarts are also must-tries, with a delicate balance of textures and flavors. The ambiance is lively, and the staff is attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience. Lunasia is truly a gem for anyone craving top-notch dim sum in the area!
Great Wall
Cold bland tasteless overpriced for small portions they aren't cooking with love that's for sure if this is y'all's definition of good Chinese food I feel very sad for you all $50 wasted how do you mess up fried rice of all things? Literally threw the meal in the trash straight up disgusting the owner should be ashamed
Good food with good portions and prices to match. Across 12+ years of ordering from them I've only had a single mistake, and it was a small one. The place could use a facelift, but it's not dine in so that isn't a big deal. The food is always made quickly, usually 10-15 minutes, and I've never had any issues with it being cold. I also appreciate how fast you can get an order placed, I'm never on the phone with them for more than 30 seconds.
