Mei Wei Oriental Diner
I have been coming here many years it has always been very good. Went tonight with my family and the food was not good. We also spent almost 90$ on food for 2 adults and three children. Food was not on par with the cost.
Ordered the C Chicken, shrimp egg rolls and fried dumplings. Excellent, tender (not overcooked!!) chicken, nice full flavors in the sauce. Grateful they cooked for us tonight.
Hong Kong Restaurant
General Tso chicken wasn't spicy at all, the chicken fried rice lacked flavor and had no vegetables in it, and the chicken wings were overcooked/burned. The crab rangoons & egg rolls were fine. Seems like a slight tweak in the seasonings & a little more effort could go a long way in making the food better. Also, you have to pay for fortune cookies now, apparently. That seems pretty cheap and greedy. What do those cost to purchase in bulk? 5-10 cents a piece? 😏🙄
Used to like the food here. Since the new owners, I tried to give them a few chances, but every time it's been bad. One of the times we got pepper steak and I kid you not it had one pepper in it. The rest was onions and a little steak. The place needs owners that care again.
Double Happiness
Good food and great service! Everything was tasty, but the fried dumplings stood out! Super nice staff, they gave me a free order of donuts.
Absolutely delicious food and friendly service! We will definitely be coming back, especially for the black pepper chicken. Thank you again!
Ho Ho China Buffet
This is the best place I've ever been to for Chinese take out. The selection of food is quite good, and it hasn't gotten old after years of coming to this restaurant. It is almost tradition to come here whenever we're in the area. The service is fantastic, the service lady is such a kind person. The inside is nicely kept, with a warm vibe to it. 11/10 would recommend going here.
Good food, first time there. November 2024 weekend price for the buffet was 13.39 weekdays I believe is 12.99.
Lung Fung
Nice 'hidden' place on the north end of Boerne. Excellent selection of dishes. Service was quick and friendly. Prices are nice with decent portions. Overall a repeat place for us. Tables were a bit sticky though.
Found by accident and will definitely eat here again. Friendly staff. Nice service. The wonton soup was really good. The shrimp with Chinese vegetables was very nicely prepared with high quality ingredients.
Chinese Wok
I’m a stranger from out of town, but wow this place was good! A shout out to Ella, she was lovely - delicious food, and a clean space. While we were here we saw a flurry of patrons, the kitchen definitely kept busy. 10/10 recommend
Outside looks rough. I think it was an old Dairy Queen in its past life. Food is good though. I avoid the sushi side and stick with the Chinese options. Hot and sour soup never disappoints, and they usually don't overcook the vegetables in their dishes which is a big win in my opinion. Eggrolls are hit or miss depending on whether they've changed the grease recently. Order ahead and pick up inside. There's always a line in the drive-through.
New China One
Very good and resonable price. Especially lunch special was the best. The staff was very kind. We had 3 lunch specials, egg drop soups and steamed dumplings. We recommend "pork fried rice", "sweet and sour chicken", "chicken and cashenuts"!!!
I ordered honey chicken, vegitable lo mein, and eggroll meal...i got a sweet and sour style chicken that was spongy and soft not crispy...i am confused because it came with sweet and sour sauce but when i smelled the chicken it smelled like it had some type of honey sauce on it. The chicken tasted fresh but this was not the correct batter for honey chicken...i think the lady made sweet and sour chicken and just tossed the battered fried chicken in a honey sauce. The texture was all wrong...kind of gross to be honest.lo mein was alright and the eggroll was good, a bit greasy but tasted good. Im losing all hope in ANY delicious chinese food even close to my area...very dissappointed and i even left a tip😒
Chens Garden
Food was horrible, ordered chicken wings and house friend rice. You only get three jumbo wings which was so tough that it wasn’t enjoyable. The rice had no flavor even after adding two packs of soy sauce. I have never have bad chicken wings and rice. The presentation of the food didn’t even look good. I had already paid for it and discovered what was stapled in a styrofoam plate when I arrived home. Paid close to $14 for this disappointment. Go somewhere else for quality food for the price they charge you.
My coworker and I ordered take out. My regular place is closed on Sundays so I picked this restaurant. Her chicken fried rice was bland. My Szechuan Chicken didn't have a lot of taste. 95% of the chicken appears to be fatty pieces that they trimmed from dark meat. I got maybe 1 or 2 actually pieces of chicken and the rest were fatty. The steamed dumplings were good.
China Wok
I've been ordering the L22 General TSO's chicken lunch (I get it extra spicy) from here for almost 20 years now. You won't find better General TSO's or fried rice. Lunch is always ready in 5-10 minutes and even a large dinner order for the family doesn't take more than 10-20 minutes. You can also ask for a small cup of chili oil on the side. Great people. Fast service. Exceptional food. And a great value.
Food was old , kept waiting on them to bring out fresh sea food but they didn’t, when I brought it to their attention they wanted to talk crap in their native language then i told the lady if you want to talk crap speak English speak my language! $15.99 for a buffet for 2 adults and you can’t even get fresh food plus $2.49 for drinks! I can go to the big cities and pay that. Chicken was even dry & nasty i spit it back in my plate. Wont be back dont waste your money! Now i believe the other reviewers saying they got sick here! I just pray we dont !
Asia Market Thai Lao Food
Came to explore Asian groceries around Houstan and we discovered this place. The grocery section is very small and has very limited options in term of groceries. Another part of this place served as a small restaurant that serves, of course, thai food. The food is okay and their service is fine but there's lot more room for improvement when it comes to the taste. We tried few dishes and one of it was Tom Yam soup, a dish that Thais are most known with. It was just ok. Nevertheless it's a good experience.
10/10 totally recommend! Their food is the most authentic Thai restaurant in HOUSTON! And I mean it! From the yummy food to the amazing service the staff has to the different produce because it is a market. I recommend the pad Thai (beef) and the pad see ew (beef).
Revolving Sushi Factory
This place was amazing! The sushi on the conveyor belt was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with a great variety to choose from. One of the coolest parts was the robot servers that delivered our à la carte items and drinks—such a fun and futuristic touch. The service was quick, the atmosphere was clean and modern, and overall, it was a great experience. Definitely coming back!
An enticing atmosphere, a plethora of food, and weird robots. We came specifically for the all-you-can-eat dinner, including the ramen and appetizers. I was not expecting the insane amount of options on the tablet and variety of plates on the belt. You couldn’t try everything if you came 5 times!
Taste of Thai & Sushi
Oh my gosh, this restaurant is 100% the best Thai restaurant in Texas. I cannot believe how good the food was and the service was absolutely amazing. Lek is so smart and knew every dish on the menu. If you haven’t been to this restaurant you are missing out on an amazing experience
I’m not from Texas and I expecting to eat really good curry and I hate ate here and 2 other places and your curry is really watery fried rice is bland and there is only egg scrambles in it where are the onions peas and carrots. My paanag curry was not good at all when you make this curry the sauce is thick but not two thick not runny I would recommend a revamp of the friend rice and curry. I’m a chef and there are just certain things you can’t skip when making things be authentic and to taste authentic I’m really upset I spent money here. Never again. Like why is the rice so bare? And it’s jasmine instead of regular white rice smh and the orange looking sauce is the curry but it’s so runny
