Dragon 168
I give this place a try once a year to see if they’ve gotten any better but they aren’t good. Overpriced for bland food. They are very cheap with the sauce . My shrimp and broccoli was bone dry. They put a barrier at the door so customers won’t enter treating us paying customers like we aren’t welcome.
Pick up location only, very quick and probably best Chinese food option in Fairfield.
Lilac House
I made a pick up order from the lunch special which includes two classic rolls and a miso soup or salad. I came home to find out the soup wasn’t miso soup it was a meat dumpling soup, and I don’t eat meat. Second, I ordered the avocado roll and shrimp tempura roll. The avocado roll was good but the shrimp tempura roll was awful, the shrimp was so awful. It was so old and chewy.
very cozy and clean, sushi menu as well as standard Chinese food offerings. crab rangoons were good size and enjoyed the awesome tea kettle 😊
Phở Nha Trang
Normally I hate writing reviews especially for local place but I gotta say today was the worst service I’ve received in recent years. Came in and sat down for over 20 minutes when the restaurant was not very busy. A new couple came in and the server went to take their orders when she looked at me and realized I needed mine to be taken. On top of that I asked for a glass of water with the order and I asked a second time and was not given any water. The Jasmin tea also just tasted like hot water with no flavoring. It’s too bad because the pho was on point and the spring rolls were good too. Disappointing
This is such a great place. The food and price are something you can’t beat. When I say food the selection of Vietnamese food is vast and it is all tasty from the pho to rice dishes. I cannot stressed enough this place is good. The prices are just amazing too. The pho/soups come in three sizes and all within the budget. Great food at great prices. This place gets busy, very busy at peak times. Service is good. Parking is questionable. Parking on the street next to the place is on street for 3/4 cars. And cannot determine if the lot for the plaza allows restaurant parking. We parked across the street to be safe.
China Palace - Fairfield CA
The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal or a family dinner. Whether you’re craving classic favorites like orange chicken and chow mein or something more authentic, this spot delivers. There's also Lunch specials :) Highly recommend—I’ll definitely be coming back!
Best Chinese food we've had in Fairfield so far. Being spoiled by great places in other parts of the Bay Area, this is the first place here that I would say I'd like to go back to. We got pot stickers, crab puffs, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef and pork chow mein. They are take out only, but everything we got was super flavorful and fresh. If they ever feel comfortable opening up for dine-in, I'd love to try it in person. For now, this is the only place I'll get Chinese food in the area from now on.
Dynasty Chinese Restaurant
Listen this was a great place first time here I ordered fried shrimp and shrimp fried rice and I got really good results food cooked to order nice place no bugs no flies clean place now the air conditioning could be colder but I understand if in the are I will come back thank you drove 2 hours from Oakland ca today 11/29/24 and consistent food fresh to order fresh oil flavor and service great 👍
I recently dined at this restaurant owned by Dee and her husband, who is the chef, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was some of the most amazing Chinese cuisine I have ever had, bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. The service was impeccable, and Dee was absolutely the sweetest, making sure every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.
Mandarin Restaurant and Lounge
We found this spot last year while looking for a venue that would accommodate 80-100 people for my dad's one year celebration of life party. After going there and trying out some of their food, we decided that this was the place! Pei and Crystal, the owners, were very accommodating and helped facilitate the process. They even closed the restaurant down so we wouldn't share this day with outsiders. That was very thoughtful of the owners. Even better, this restaurant has a fully stocked bar, and they had a bartender in case anyone wanted a drink. All in all, this restaurant brings me back to my childhood. The food was great and the owners and staff are so friendly! We'll be coming back in the near future!
If you haven’t tried this Chinese you’re missing out. They have the best dry fried chicken around but everything on the menu is great. Prices are good and portions are good. Did I mention they have a full bar, and the staff is efficient and the service was fast. The whole dinning experience is a 10 out of 10 . It’s the best Chinese place around . A must try .
Shu Restaurant
We have been here 4 times already. So far, this is the top authentic Chinese cuisine I have ever tried. Following are my favorites and must try dishes: -> Fried egg with Tomato soup -> Twice cooked chicken and Fish -> Fried rice with Yibin pickles. -> Mongolian Beef -> Aspargus and scallion The service was really good and the food was prepared very quickly too. I would definitely recommend this to all.
Hard to go wrong with Shu. We've ordered carry out from them a few times, but this time decided to go in for dinner. It was fairly empty on a Thursday, around 5:30pm, but that's understandable, considering the circumstances. They had every other table set, so there was plenty of social distancing. My daughter had the scallion pancakes and the fried gyozas, and she polished off both of those. I had Kung Pao Jumbo Shrimp, which was good (could've been a bit more spicier). Shu will always be our go to.
Mama Chow
If you like authentic Asian food - especially Malaysian food, this is a place you cannot miss! We were driving from NY to Rhode Island with our kids and relatives from Bangkok. We decided to stop over for lunch along the way and was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! To be honest, I was skeptical as I did not find any good (and very pricey) Asian food in NY! Came into the restaurant and met Kim the owner/chef and his whole family who runs this place! Little did we know that Kim was previously an executive chef for large hotel chains and had travelled the world. His idea for Mama Chow is to introduce Asian cuisine to his restaurant focusing on fresh yet high quality ingredients to bring out the simple authentic flavours of Asia! We had Kon Loh Mee (KLM) - egg noodles with juicy BBQ pork and pork wonton dumplings, Lard Na (in Thai or in Cantonese they call it Wat-Tan-Hor) - fried flat rice noodles with silky smooth seafood sauce, seafood laksa (ramen noodles in coconut curry broth and fresh seafood with large Tiger prawns), char kway teow (fried flat rice noodle with a distinct Malaysian wok fried flavour), Nasi goreng - Malaysian/ Indonesian fried rice. Kim also served us his special dishes lor mai Kai (glutinous rice with steamed with chicken and mushrooms - a local dish usually served for breakfast in Malaysia) and steamed aubergine! Not only was the food delicious, the hosts were amazing! Such generous and friendly family! We had such a memorable meal here! Highly recommended to all to visit Mama Chow and experience it for yourself! Food taste so good, you have to try it to know it! P/s: ask for Sambal to go with your dishes and don’t miss out on the waffles and yam ice cream - if your tummy is still asking for more!
I am blown away by this restaurant, the meal was packed with flavor and then some more. For appetizers, we ordered the kale salad (so delicious), the edamame (must order, I don’t know what seasoning is on here, but it’s crack and I want more of it), the Vietnamese spring rolls (purely amazing), and the mushroom dumplings (melting with flavor). Honestly next time I go, I’m going to order the entire appetizer menu and skip on the entree. What a great way to taste many different things and share plates with your friends. As an entree I got the special summer noodles, which was a vermicelli cold salad bowl with pork, veggies, and the spring rolls. Whether you do take out or dine in, this place must not be missed. It’s absolutely so delicious. If I lived in Westport, I would come eat here every week.
China Stix
Had a date with my husband here. Food was the best vegetable chow mein I ever had, absolutely delicious. I liked it so much I for once felt motivated to leave a review!
The first time here, I have high expectations when I read their menu online. The food was good, matched when I expected but very disappointed for the service. The whole time, the young lady wasn't providing any service at all and with cheeks down while taking our orders and never came back to check with us if everything is ok. The worst part was, when I checked out, she finally spoke with a mild smile as knowing we had to tip.....lol. By the way, the take out container is small, the portion is smaller than done in. I won't dine there again.....
Panda Express
My first time ordering Panda at Solano mall and I will never order there again!!! Ordered family meal. I’ve got leftover food and they decided to seal it without filling it up. The orange chicken was the only one has the right amount.
Almost paid the price of a whole meal just for a medium box of 🟠🐔. I haven't eaten panda in over 10 years because the quality was so bad back then, but I have to say, this time around, the orange chicken was pretty dang good. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste the 🐓, just 🍊, and that more than anything is what puts me off about 🐼. I'm still not ready to try their noodles or rise because I'm sure it's going to be dry as heck, but what do you expect from a Cheep-otle style restaurant. Left overs all day unless you can get it all fresh. (Not likely)
Panda Express
I ask for chopsticks in Notes in the order n didn’t receive any, N my bf picked it up and I see hella orange chicken n barely honey sesame. I don’t know but if they were equally proportion right I probably wouldn’t have to search and look for certain pieces. N it was not fresh cause my food was not steaming, if it’s fresh it should have steam I shouldn’t taste it n taste room tempt food.
I eat panda express because it’s food is closet to home for me but this location needs to change their staff or give them orientation about customer service . There is this older Chinese woman, her attitude is bad and I thought I was the only one until my brother and my friend went there . To me it’s is unnecessary for me to give you my money for a service ( to everyone regardless of who they are , in as much you are not insulted at your job) and you act foolish. I will still buy from you because I won’t change myself because of uncivilized behavior of one person .
Panda Express
Arrived at this location on Sunday afternoon about 3:15 p.m. there was no food practically prepared I did take pictures I talked to a young lady here who was had a terrible attitude she was the person put in the males together then they had a young lady who was cooking but there was nothing fresh
The rice came out overheated and parts were burnt. The service is terrible. When I was ordering, I said I wanted something else and the woman got angry and then they didn't give us sauce and my husband came back to ask for it and she threw it at him, she didn't give it to him and she didn't have the courtesy to apologize. They should hire people who love their job so they can treat their customers better, since in the end we are the ones who pay their salaries.
