Closter #1
I've been disappointed with the quality of Chinese take-out in Bergen, but I'm so happy to have found Closter #1. I recently ordered a large variety of food from this spot and everything was delicious. Needless to say, we have found our new Chinese take-out spot for the future. Highly recommend.
I want to give 4 stars on food but then it will not be fair as I lowered my standards here. Traditional Chinese take out. No dine in. Don't expect much. The only plus is food items. I ordered the lobster shrimp dish. Shrimps are large and fried rice is good with more ingredients than others. Fill up and only cost $12. Better than some Chinese to go around town.
So Good
My family and I are here my server was so kind and patient my younger brother had autism and was stimming along with making a mess, my server cleaned up after him and always left our table with a smile. The food was delicious everything was so filling I’m definitely coming back here. The only flaw I would say if some of the workers were laughing at my brother along with giving a look. Overall the experience was enjoyable I would recommend.
I came in to So Good specifically after seeing they offered Naengmyeon! It was very easy to park, and inside was very clean and spacious. They offered a delicious selection of bonchon for a single lunch-time entree, and everyone was very kind. Each table offers BBQ so I can’t wait to come back with my family to try more food!
New China Wok
Felt compelled to write a review after seeing all the negative ones. First off, the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The lunch special is a great value. $40-$50 easily feeds a family of four with leftovers. The high price complaints are likely due to people ordering through a delivery app which then tacks on extra fees to pay for their cut. Compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, this one is less salty, not overly sweet and not oily. If asked for, they also do an excellent job at making dishes extra spicy. The only minor complaint is that a lot of the dishes are pretty similar. Flavor is similar but the vegetables are different. Best Chinese in the area, tried out a ton of sit down restaurants trying to find one for a family members 90th birthday - it's unfortunate this one is takeout only. We were considering renting out a hall so we could have them cater it. Outside of NYC, I find this place to be the best. Recommended dishes: fried dumplings, hot and sour soup, beef with scallions.
I recently ordered Chinese takeout from this place, and it was an absolute delight! The Kung Pao Chicken was savory and spicy, with tender chicken, crunchy peanuts, and a flavorful sauce. The Moo Shu Pork was a standout, with tender strips of pork, crisp veggies, and delicate pancakes that allowed me to create delicious wraps. The Fried pork Dumplings were crunchy and juicy, filled with a savory mix that was simply irresistible. The portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and fresh. The combination of these three dishes showcased the chef's skill and the restaurant's commitment to delivering high-quality Chinese cuisine. This will undoubtedly be my go-to spot for a flavorful and satisfying takeout experience!

My son 12 yrs old was hungry so we stopped to get take out , ordered the stir fried Rice with chicken , took the bag and we sat in near by whole food so he can eat .. opened the box .. literary , 2 LARGE spoon of Rice , 3 pieces of dry looks like leftover horrible looking so called chicken , & container of something red and radish kimchi !!! $14.95 for this , I closed the box and went back just to show her the disgusting leftovers she sold us ..no response or apology of what so ever , DO NOT EAT THERE OR TAKE OUT.. She serves leftovers and horrible nauseating so called food.
The ganjajang was so good, and the tangsuyuk was amazing too. I wanted to mix some rice into the leftover sauce, but I held back.
