Bao Dumplings & Bao Tea 寶餃寶茶
I tried their dumpling combo with different fillings - they were really good! I also decided to try out their Chicken with Broccoli and it was pretty good. Maybe it's just me, but I probably would've enjoyed it more with Garlic sauce which I plan on trying for the next visit. Plenty of parking and I liked the decor inside. Definitely worth stopping by for a nice lunch or some dinner to bring home.
The bao dumplings have soups in them, which were great, but the wrap to my opinion was a bit too thick. Beef buns also had too much wrap. Candied fruits were not Chinese traditional. The lavender bubble tea was average. The waitresses mixed up the orders and tables. But all in all, not a bad place for dumplings as there are not many choices in NJ.
Gao Thai Kitchen
Since we are avid Thai food fans, we were on a quest like Don Quixote. I read the google tea leaves and we ended up here. Spot on, flavors galore. No doubt this should be your next stop. Staff was lovely, place was clean, platings were beautiful. We will be back. 🤗👍👍
We ate at this place because the restaurant that we wanted to go to had an hour and a half waiting time, in the middle of a thunderstorm, so we had to settle for less. Looking through the windows I didn't think it was an authentic Thai restaurant, but more of the kind that caters to Western palates. Sure enough, both the Som Tum Thai (papaya salad) and the Pad Kee Mao were quite bland. I was especially unimpressed with their substitution of ingredients: e.g. instead of the long string beans, they used normal green beans (much cheaper, too soft for the bite, and the wrong taste), while the usual bamboo shoots etc were all missing. When my husband ordered the Thai Jungle stir fry with shrimp, the waitress asked if he could handle level 4 spiciness ... what spiciness? It was barely a level 2 for our preference. The only redeeming quality of that dish was the generous amount of large shrimps ... worth the price they charge I guess. Service was impeccable, and it was definitely popular with the local crowd, as the take-out orders were pouring in. It may be good enough for people unfamiliar with Southeast Asian cuisines, but it certainly came short for this family of world travelers!
Mr Zhang Kitchen
We are new to River Edge and have had food from a few other places. Mr. Zhang is the winner by far. The food is great quality and very tasty. Not oily and not too sweet. Very flavorful. 100% our new go to place. We ordered: shrimp egg rolls, Singapore Mei Fun, General Tsos chicken, Mongolian Beef, shrimp with mixed veg and house special fried rice. All really good and the staff is super friendly.
Very good food. I will say look at their paper menus first because they don’t show all the wonderful food they have on their displays. I had the Mango Lemon Tea which was made fresh with real tea and had fruit chunks in it. Nice and sweet. Also, I had beef flank soup with rice noodles and it was great and I also loved the fried pork dumplings. Star was very nice and the cooks were very polite, and work very fast. I will be back for sure!
Imperial Dynasty
Still trying to find what I’m looking for?! This place was fast and friendly. They do not deliver and that’s ok, the food was great. Nothing was to oily, everything seemed fresh. I will definitely order from here again. Nothing was too salty either. Thanks for a great meal.
Go to Wah Sing right down the road. I'm really not one to do this but I walked in and was greated with an attitude. I overlooked it as maybe she had a bad day. Got my food and went home. I ordered a *large* wonton soup with white rice and an egg roll. Got home to there being four wontons in the soup. Debated going back because I really don't like to make a ruckus. Decided to go back thinking maybe they made a mistake. She gave me attitude and said "if you wanted more you should have ordered more." Lol long story short, wont order there again. Weird experience to be honest.
Bobby Wong’s Tao House
Great food and great people here at Bobby Wongs Tao House. Highly recommend!
Food is delicious. Pick-up was fast. Always wanted to try this place, and it exceeded my expectations.
Grand Buffet
Stopped in for a takeout lunch today. $7.99/lb all mixed food. Some items were on point, the crab Rangoon, bbq chicken, thai shrimp, salt and pepper ribs, onion rings, stuffed clams. The calamari was awful, maybe restaurant depot? The items that were not up to par were the boneless spare ribs, sushi, beef and onions, and steamed shumai. They did have a large selection. I guess you just have to know what to get.
I love this place. I've been going here once a week for 4 years. It's the best food I've ever eaten in a buffet style restaurant. I eat lunch here, but my wife likes seafood, so I take her for dinner which is more expensive as seafood is costlier. The staff is very friendly and hard working. The owner is very nice and is always there. There is a norovirus around North Jersey at the moment, so many people get sick in the stomach and think its food poisoning. I've noticed many negative reviews have one review and are likely competing businesses losing customers to this successful buffet. This is the very best Chinese buffet I have ever gone too. I'm a perfectionist and a bit of a fault finder. I just don't think it's possible to run a better buffet restaurant than this one.
Kosher Express
Super quick & friendly service, fair prices & omg! Each bite is divine! Highly recommend this takeout.
We moved to the area from Brooklyn and have been trying to find a kosher Chinese spot that matches up to our old favorite and we finally found it. This is the best kosher Chinese spot in the area by far.
TS Ma Chinese Cuisine
A hidden gem in Wyckoft NJ !! The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Chinese dishes. We started with a plate of pan-fried pork buns with a savory filling. For the main course, I can recommend the crispy schezuan beef and the General Tso's chicken. The spicy beef with garlic sauce was just spicy enough to get the tingle in your mouth without the sweating and heart racing. We combined this with sauteed string beans and Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce. All the dishes were delicious and well spiced. The portions were generous. Also the waiter was very attentive and the owner came by to check if we were enjoying the meal. There is a large selection of gluten free dishes.
Went in for the lunch special. Loved everything about this place! The waiter even helped me make a decision on what to get. My husband got the General TSO’s chicken. They make it Gluten free. He loved it! He said it was a tad too sweet for his taste. But he still liked it
Wah Sing II Chinese Restaurant
Staff was friendly. The chicken wings was well done and crispy, the seasoning was good as well. The fries were good, crunchy and not soggy like many Chinese restaurants I've ate at.
My favorite take out .Been in Wyckoff many years for a reason. I keep menu in car and order to pick up on way home. Gen Tso chicken and shrimp is the best. BEST DUMPLINGS. Generous portions. Shocked at bad reviews.
Yuki sushi restaurant
Definitely the best sushi in Bergen County. They just remodeled and the place looks great! Booths are comfy and perfect lighting. The staff is super friendly too. Now on to the food: perfectly delicious and presentation was on point!
This place is the real deal. Sushi is fresh and the service is amazing. We had the Oysters to start, and they were fantastic One of the best places for Sushi in Bergen County.
Wonder Midland Park
I got the hanu poke today and there was something hard in the poke (rock or hard rice) that upon biting dislocated my beautiful front teeth :( I frantically spitted it out and assessed damage with my front teeth which as you can see is dislocated forever. :( I wouldn’t feed this to children!
I ordered from Tejas for the first time Friday and it was delicious! I ordered again tonight and unfortunately the pulled pork on a gluten free bun was sent and packaged to me with a regular bun. This could have caused a very serious allergic reaction for me, and I’m grateful to have noticed before eating any. The third party app refunded me, but I want to be sure Wonder/Tejas receives this feedback. Please train your employees to ensure if an order says gluten free and is given a gluten free sticker, that the gluten free bun is properly used. This could have easily landed me in the hospital due to negligence
Jun Lung Chinese And Japanese Restaurant
Passing by the area, it's worth stopping to dine. The food is not greasy and clean, and everything is delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive.
My wife and I sold our house 7 weeks ago, and are temporarily ensconced in a hotel in Ramsey, until we figure out where we're moving next. We found this place totally by accident, and let me tell you this is the best Chinese takeout that I have ever had, We have made it our 'go to' place for Chinese takeout. #1 they have the best won ton soup. We get it by the quart(s). #2 I like spicy, and can't recommend their Szechuan Beef enough. The meat are large portions of tender spicy beef, along with the usual Chinese vegetables (including the broccoli...done just right...not too mushy, not to crunchy). We will be coming back as long as we're here! Well done guys!
