Hunan Garden
Sorry but average food quality and spices were lacking beef Chow mein served without noodles ! lots of corn starch in General Tso chicken pork fried rice was just chicken broth rice no egg and only few bits of pork needed more onions no flavor
Ordered delivery. Food was really not good. Lo mein was mushy and either overcooked or just had been sitting around for a while and reheated. Beef in the beef and broccoli was a shade of gray. General Tzo’s was unrecognizable. We threw $125 into the garbage.
Leo Sushi & Asian Cuisine
I give 5 stars to the food, taste, service, cleanliness, professionalism and atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are big. We all (both adults and kids) felt very satisfied as everything exceeded our expectations. We plan to go more often. Highly recommended restaurant.
Great sushi, great service and amazing all around sushi spot. Leo’s is my go to for lunch. Lunch menu is packed with great deals! Lynn is so nice. Gives Leo’s a shot! You won’t be disappointed
Baumgart's Café
I finally decided to check this place out last Thursday. Food was great. I ordered veggie spring rolls with a chili sauce and Chicken & Broccoli with a brown garlic sauce. It's usually difficult nowadays to find a spot that makes this dish and other similar ones this good. Chicken was juicy and tender made just right. They do have just enough parking available behind the restaurant. The time I ate there was early afternoon so it was a nice relaxed setting. I wish the prices were a little lower. (Just my opinion)
I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and I’ve loved it every time. The sesame chicken is always a hit. The waiters even know us and our orders. The decor is so unique too, love the comfy booths and fun artwork. Don’t sleep on their ice cream either!
Montvale Chinese food
Excellent and big big portions ! If u go there during lunch time , ask for lunch menu, smaller portion buy way cheaper. I ask during lunch for take out. They gave dinner order !! I took it, food for many..but i checked menu and boom lunch prices, cheaper. Many many customers for takeout ! Check menu first ! No sit down !
Very bland tasting. Got sweet and sour chicken. Not a single vegetable. No flavor. In fact the chicken was more flavorful without the sauce.
Tokyo Cafe
The food at Tokyo Cafe is absolutely outstanding, complemented by an incredible atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. I thoroughly enjoyed savoring their fresh sushi and expertly prepared hibachi dishes. A true delight for the senses!
Amazing food. The menu has a wide variety of rolls and the food quality is really superior to other local sushi places. The service is great and the prices are better than other places as well. My favorite was the Valentine's Roll.
Good Taste Restaurant
So I come here often. I get the singapore mei fun with garlic sauce no shrimp. Chicken wings , white rice , beef and broccoli in spicy garlic sauce .. EVERYTHING IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The service is superb. I can appreciate they work as a family.
I don’t understand what the fuss is all about with the low ratings. I experienced the opposite. I went during lunch time and didn’t call in the order or place one online, just to see what issues were there with service. I went during lunch rush around 12pm. I arrived along with my coworker. Look through the menu and placed my order with tbe lady working the counter. I didn’t get any sass or rudeness, she even asked us if we were together or separate, I told them separate. Even took my request to make the General Tso’s chicken crispier with no issues. My coworker ordered beef and broccoli. I noticed that there was a $10 minimum for credit card, so I just told my coworker, I got it, and told the lady to charge them together, even though we originally said that we were separate, without any issue. Got our food, brought it back to work and ate it. Food was fine, I finished it, if it wasn’t good, I don’t finish it. The General Tso’s chicken was a bit heavy with the soy sauce because of the saltiness and was light on the sugar which is suppose to thicken the sauce into a glaze and even out the saltiness, but wasn’t much issue for me to finish my lunch. I got hot and sour soup with my lunch combo and I have to say, is better than most places that I’ve had it at with the perfect amount of tofu, mushrooms and bamboo shoots without it overwhelming the soup. I would take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. I don’t go to a Chinese take out for hospitality and to exchange pleasantries like a higher end restaurant which cost more. I go to a Chinese take out because it’s quick, efficient and satisfying. I can’t wait to go back to try the other dishes. I would also like to add that this is actually one of the better quality Chinese take out joints. The other place would the be the casual sit down dining Chinese Restaurant right off 17 North by the Kohl’s and Five Guys called Look See.
Peshawri Grill
Very reasonable and affordable indian food. The server is really sweet and friendly. We ordered bunch of starters including kebab trio, paneer chilly , Gobi Manchurian and paneer chilly. Also entres were reasonably good and came with enough quantity. If you like spicy, ask them to explicitly make them or else it is usually mild.
It was our first time at Peshawri Grill and we loved it. The food was amazing and the service excellent! We will definitely be back.
Imperial Dynasty
Still trying to find what I’m looking for?! This place was fast and friendly. They do not deliver and that’s ok, the food was great. Nothing was to oily, everything seemed fresh. I will definitely order from here again. Nothing was too salty either. Thanks for a great meal.
Go to Wah Sing right down the road. I'm really not one to do this but I walked in and was greated with an attitude. I overlooked it as maybe she had a bad day. Got my food and went home. I ordered a *large* wonton soup with white rice and an egg roll. Got home to there being four wontons in the soup. Debated going back because I really don't like to make a ruckus. Decided to go back thinking maybe they made a mistake. She gave me attitude and said "if you wanted more you should have ordered more." Lol long story short, wont order there again. Weird experience to be honest.
Mr Zhang Kitchen
We are new to River Edge and have had food from a few other places. Mr. Zhang is the winner by far. The food is great quality and very tasty. Not oily and not too sweet. Very flavorful. 100% our new go to place. We ordered: shrimp egg rolls, Singapore Mei Fun, General Tsos chicken, Mongolian Beef, shrimp with mixed veg and house special fried rice. All really good and the staff is super friendly.
Very good food. I will say look at their paper menus first because they don’t show all the wonderful food they have on their displays. I had the Mango Lemon Tea which was made fresh with real tea and had fruit chunks in it. Nice and sweet. Also, I had beef flank soup with rice noodles and it was great and I also loved the fried pork dumplings. Star was very nice and the cooks were very polite, and work very fast. I will be back for sure!
Gao Thai Kitchen
Since we are avid Thai food fans, we were on a quest like Don Quixote. I read the google tea leaves and we ended up here. Spot on, flavors galore. No doubt this should be your next stop. Staff was lovely, place was clean, platings were beautiful. We will be back. 🤗👍👍
We ate at this place because the restaurant that we wanted to go to had an hour and a half waiting time, in the middle of a thunderstorm, so we had to settle for less. Looking through the windows I didn't think it was an authentic Thai restaurant, but more of the kind that caters to Western palates. Sure enough, both the Som Tum Thai (papaya salad) and the Pad Kee Mao were quite bland. I was especially unimpressed with their substitution of ingredients: e.g. instead of the long string beans, they used normal green beans (much cheaper, too soft for the bite, and the wrong taste), while the usual bamboo shoots etc were all missing. When my husband ordered the Thai Jungle stir fry with shrimp, the waitress asked if he could handle level 4 spiciness ... what spiciness? It was barely a level 2 for our preference. The only redeeming quality of that dish was the generous amount of large shrimps ... worth the price they charge I guess. Service was impeccable, and it was definitely popular with the local crowd, as the take-out orders were pouring in. It may be good enough for people unfamiliar with Southeast Asian cuisines, but it certainly came short for this family of world travelers!
Bao Dumplings & Bao Tea 寶餃寶茶
I tried their dumpling combo with different fillings - they were really good! I also decided to try out their Chicken with Broccoli and it was pretty good. Maybe it's just me, but I probably would've enjoyed it more with Garlic sauce which I plan on trying for the next visit. Plenty of parking and I liked the decor inside. Definitely worth stopping by for a nice lunch or some dinner to bring home.
The bao dumplings have soups in them, which were great, but the wrap to my opinion was a bit too thick. Beef buns also had too much wrap. Candied fruits were not Chinese traditional. The lavender bubble tea was average. The waitresses mixed up the orders and tables. But all in all, not a bad place for dumplings as there are not many choices in NJ.
Namaste India
The host was very personable and helpful! He kept me engaged in conversation while I waited for my food. The food was flavorful and delectable. I love the naan!
I tried north India cuisine , the food freshness and taste speaks for itself . The host was great person to talk and give recommendations. One of the recommended place to dine .
