The food was good. This is more of a takeout place. There was only a little space to sit and eat. The Crab Ragoons were very good. We also got Sesame Chicken and Orange Chicken. The breading was fine, and the sauce was okay, but nothing spectacular. But if you are looking for a decent Chinese place, we had a good experience here.

Just found this gem. They have some of the best Chinese food I've had in a long while! Very good brown sauce, high quality chicken and beef, and the crab rangoon are sweet and crispy. We got the garlic chicken, cashew chicken and beef lo mein. All were just delicious and were enough for two+ meals. Twenty minute drive from where we live, but we both agree that it's well worth the drive!! Definitely try them out!

Our household did the classic and feared mix-up, and placed a phone order for pickup here and "picked up" at a different location that took the order as a walk-in. Now, you must be thinking, "What did you do?" I'll tell you, we picked up our phone order and we compared them. First and foremost, Happy Wok and Tong at the front counter here were incredibly kind and gracious to our takeout dilemma. Our food was kept warm and was hot when we got it home. Between this location and the other location we accidentally ordered from (I'll omit the name but if you live in or around House Springs/High Ridge I'm sure you know), we did a full comparison of the meals and found that Happy Wok's portions were consistently larger and the food had great flavor. We did enjoy both, but my favorite was Happy Wok. And while I have an absolute mountain of Chinese takeout leftovers on my hands, I do look forward to ordering from here again the next time we order.

Love this place! It takes me a bit to get home, from anywhere! My food is nice and hot when I get home! That's so nice. Everything we ordered was so good! The staff was so friendly and helpful when we called to order. If you like good Chinese food, then you will love this place!!

Absolutely wonderful dinner. Very delicious hot, tasty. Love the gentle spices in my sesame chicken. Enjoyed steamed dumplings for an appetizer. Enjoyed a generous pour of a glass of wine Great price and they gave me free soup also! I’ll be back

We have been customers at China Wok for years. We had dinner in the restaurant this evening (we usually get takeout only) and it was very good! Service was good and the staff were friendly to my crazy kids who only wanted to stand on the chairs and look at the fish! The owner even gave us a free to-go hot sour soup, which was an extremely kind and memorable gesture! Definitely recommend this local Eureka favorite restaurant!

This is a hard review to determine. As far as the food goes it's excellent. One of the best Chinese places I've eaten. I've ordered pick up 5 times so far. All combination plates that cost $10 even. They come with ham fried rice, your choice of an entree, and either an Egg Roll or two Crab Rangoon. So far I've tried the beef and broccoli combo, which the gravy is beyond amazing. The only complaint I have about this dish is the broccoli both times were not cooked long enough, so the broccoli was too hard. All the combos have very large proportions and will fill you up, and even enough for two helpings with me. The second dish I tried was the ham Lo Mein combo. It was excellent and I have no complaints with it. The third dish I've tried is the sweet and sour chicken combo. I'm used to getting the chicken and sweet sour sauce separately, but this dish came with the sweet and sour sauce already dumped and soaked on the chicken nuggets. It actually was very good, even with a different spin on it then I'm used to. With all this said about the food here's where my review goes south. Every time I call to place my order the person on the phone is rude. They're also pretty rude in person. But then I realized something tonight as I was waiting in line to pick up my order. The patrons every time I've been in this restaurant have been rude and arguing with the employees over petty stuff. So, if I put myself in their shoes, I'd probably be pretty upset after 5 or 6 hours of abuse. The location of this restaurant would probably explain why the patrons are always starting trouble. It's not the safest or the best neighborhood in St Louis. I would definitely recommend eating here because their food is off the chain awesome. But, also expect to maybe wait a few minutes for the drama to unfold before you get waited on and get your food.

I personally don’t see the hype after trying this place, but a lot of people in the reviews seem to like it. It’s not bad, but it surely isn’t delicious or good in my opinion. I’m also not from STL, so this may be the norm for Chinese takeout here (but I doubt it). There really wasn’t much flavor in anything. The wings were fried hard which I usually prefer, but it made them lose their batter, and they definitely weren't marinated before cooking because the meat was bland. The fried rice is darker than any Chinese spot I’ve seen, so I assumed it’d be loaded with flavor, but unfortunately no. Not bad food, but I wouldn’t call it good either. Just something to fill your stomach if other options are closed. Order ahead if you do try it though, because the waiting area is super small and you’ll be standing/sitting with a lot of people around you. There’s also no dining allowed inside.

I ordered hot braised chicken and I got an order of dry chicken with no sauce. Literally can’t even eat the food I bought because that isn’t what I ordered at all.

Just moved up the street and am delighted to say we have our corner Chinese place. Super pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I got the beef and broccoli and it was perfectly cooked. The sides are a little pricey (and not amazing) but the entrees are super affordable (and amazing!) so it balances out.

I ordered door dash and tried this place for the first time. I got the General Tso’s Tofu and it was delish!!!!

The food is really 4.7 There is a TV which was showing the news. Music from Asia would have been better. It was clean. People from Asia do not make much eye contact (too much is seen as rude there.) or smile unless truly pleased. As long as you know that, you will understand that they are giving good service. It's just not American, Warm, fuzzy service. It's the real, Asian deal. I would return. šŸ˜€

Ordered delivery and it’s very delicious! Nice big shrimp, good flavor, crab Rangoon are delicious and the prices are fair. Will definitely be ordering again soon!

Marty is sincere and kind. Food is fire. Price can't be beat. I had the chicken, fried. Like a chicken Katsu. Well cooked and flavored on a bed of cut cabbage. Not intensely flavor which suits my gentle pallet. Could use some salt but I can't complain because I eat too much salt. I go in for some salt/ketchup and he says "this ain't Arby's" 😭 and follows up with a fire joke about Michael caine.. mycocaine. And the lemon sauce with it is 10/10 - hat tip to the chef. Don't skip on this spot. A Chesterfield classic.

The food was really good. This is the first time we have ever eaten there and we were quite impressed and will definitely be going back. We live in Pacific and there is no comparison to Chinese restaurant in pacific. This food was excellent. The crab rangoon was absolutely delicious. The pork fried rice was amazing. I know we did carry out but the service was excellent. Very friendly.

Called in for takeout and placed and order and I’m not sure what happened. I ordered pork fried rice w/ chicken wings add broccoli. I’m not sure if they misunderstood but they made a full order of wings and full order of rice separately? Normally most places make you a meal in one bowl. For nearly $24 the amount of food I received was plentiful but thats not the point. As 1 person looking to grab a quick lunch and spending $24 on a meal when I typically spend no more that $15 is a little ridiculous. Food is great but I’m not sure where the disconnect is even after explaining myself they told me this is how they normally charge and do it?

Best St. Paul sandwich I've found so far. Sometimes a little salty, but still the best I've had. I've tried other food from here, but mainly come for the St. Paul. You can call in a pickup order, which seems to be what most people do. Or you can come wait while your order is being prepared. They have a dining room but rarely have I seen anyone eating there... the wait is usually something like 15 minutes. You ring a bell through the plastic partitioned ordering window when you arrive and someone will come out of the kitchen (if no one is already there) to take your order. This place isn't fancy by any means, and the tables seem like they could use a cleaning. Of note are the plants up front which are seemingly ancient. Lastly, not the St. Paul, but I went in late on a rainy night and had the best egg drop soup I've ever had. It may be because I was the only customer at the time, but I will definitely be back to try for that experience again.

Had a craving for the Hot Braised Chicken wings so we stopped in. We were less than impressed by the food and customer service. Called in my order ahead of time and did not leave home for 15 minutes to allow time for the food to be ready. When we arrive there was one person ahead of us and we waited for about 10 minutes while the staff member took his sweet time checking the customer out. Then a gentleman came in who walked to the front of the line and the staff member stopped helping everyone else to get him his meal. Probably won’t be back, great customer service is a pet peeve of mine. The hot braised was more like the chicken wings that Schnucks salad bar used to have. That recipe has definitely changed. The fried rice was very dry. Again under impressed.

I can't begin to tell you how sad I am that they're closed on Mondays, because this place never disappoints. I order from here ALL the time and so should you. The food is always on point and they're always super fast. GO HERE NOW they're amazing. Here are some pics from today. Pictured are Crab Rangoon, crab sticks ( they're so big and good and stuffed with crab) , Black pepper Chicken was so good and so were the chicken sticks. Thank you for sharing your flavors with us!!!

Everything we ordered was hot and freshly cooked. The house fried rice was delicious but included an odd cut of pork. I liked the pork wonton filling but the wonton wrappers were too thick.
