China Wok
Use to be my favorite. Taste going down. Got new people and is not the same. Way more expensive. Inaccurate order. Better double check before leaving. Charges extra for sauce.
This was my Grandmother’s favorite Chinese spot and now it is mine. I eat here once or twice every week and I’m always satisfied. The best egg rolls in Saint Louis!
China Wok Restaurant
One of the best spots for Chinese out here! The rice is actually fried its really well cooked! I've been going here for a few years now and it's always on point. The Duck fried rice and the Hunan Chicken are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Awesome...My 2 favorites from China Wok! I highly recommend it! (Cash Only)
Probably one of the worse places in the Lou to get Chinese food. Their combination plates are $10. And there’s only 1 scoop of orange looking nasty dry rice with nasty crab ragoons and your choice of whatever that will be small in portion. My kids hated the food and so did I. It’s not worth the money, or time going here. And if you do like eating here I will never ask you for recommendations on where to eat!!! 💯
Lucky House Rolla Restaurant
A very good local Chinese place that fills up your plate well! It has a good menu selection, hard to go wrong with any of the choices. Service was kind, and the fastest I have ever seen at a restaurant. Last time I went, I had Lo Mein + Chicken, with won tons, rice, and a spring roll on the side. Server was very friendly and handled everything well with speed. Great food for a fantastic price, as they will definitely fill your plate.
Always enjoy the people and food at Lucky House! The Won Ton soup is wonderful! I've tried many items on the menu and never been disappointed.
New China
They completely messed my order up would and they not fix it. They gave me somebody else's order. I wouldn't take it back, wouldn't fix it? Would not give me new food even after I paid for it. The food is completely terrible. My wife got food poisoning, was thrown out with diarrhea 3 days. Absolutely, horrible.I highly recommend everyone in the whole town of troy.Stay away from this place.
Orange Chicken: too much oil/msg Fried Rice: Cheap rice looks and tastes nasty Cheese/Crab things: Let's just say that they are greasy and that you couldn't even taste the crab meat. If you tell people that you actually like the food that these people serve, you haven't ever had good Chinese food.
Mandarin Garden
Food quality was poor at best. At least I didn't get food poisoning. That's the only reason I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1. Everything was old and had been sitting out. Nothing I ate tasted good.
No complaints, I went a couple different times and food wasn't very consistent in taste. It was still pretty good and staff is friendly.
New China
I truly hate to leave a bad review being a fellow business owner. Easily the worst chinese food I have ever had by a long shot. Everything had a tint of old taste to it. I was actually impressed about the serving sizes but didn't matter after I couldn't even continue eating it. Threw it all in the trash.
I believe they must be under new ownership because this is not the same quality food I had years ago. And I mean that in the best way possible. The crab Rangoon is some of the best I’ve ever had. The general tsos chicken was a massive portion. A bit darker than I’m used to seeing but had a lot of sauce and it was delicious. The chicken lo mein was also very generous portion and about half chicken with plenty of sauce to make it go down without adding soy sauce and all the others. This is easily the best Chinese I’ve had on this side of the water (stl will always be the best) ever. I’m excited to see they offer St. Paul sandwiches and can’t wait to try one. The man who answered the phone to take my ordered didn’t speak the best English, but that’s normal just means it’s more authentic. I will be back. They have earned by business. Huge fan. My husband and kids also enjoyed it.

I called in my order and when I arrived the cook was near the back of the kitchen picking up handfuls of meat with his bare hands and putting it in a metal storage container. He was wearing soccer sandals, no socks, just bare feet. He came up to the register to check with me and never washed his hands. I checked out, and took my order home. My husband's egg foo young was fine. On the other hand, my chicken fried rice was rice, a few onions maybe and some tiny ground up pieces of what was supposed to be chicken. Not one green pea, not one carrot. Very disappointing. My hot and sour soup had some pepper taste, but no sour taste at all. I have always been happy with the food here, but I won't be going back.
I ordered sweet-and-sour chicken and the pieces of chicken were so small and tough. You couldn’t even tell that you’re eating anything then fried crunchies rice had absolutely no flavor at all I had to put soy sauce on it just to give it some flavor. I have given this place time and time again my business and it just seems to get worse.
Panda Express
We went through the drive-thru and I ordered mushroom chicken and it clearly says on the receipt mushroom chicken. When I got home it was most definitely not mushroom chicken and it was something very spicy that I could not eat. The food might have been good if I was able to eat it. I could not bring it back because I live 15 minutes away I did not have the time to go take it back as you can see from the pictures you can see they definitely gave me the wrong food. This is not the first time this has happened with this location
Placed an order through DoorDash for lunch. This location is not even a 5 minute drive from my job yet my food arrived barely warm, the rice is hard, I asked for condiments and didnt receive them, and lastly I got a plate and got king pao chicken for both of my entrées one looks different than the other.
Great Wall
57272916 ORDER NUMBER - MY FIRST AND LAST TIME HERE $40 TO WASTEED... This was my order placed online 5/10/25. The food is horrible. The wings was brunt or the grease was very old. The saint paul sandwich had not taste/flavor to it. Ths sandwich was on a hamburger bun instead of regular bread. The house rice was bland no flavor. The chicken fried rice The chicken was not cooked all the way and the chicken was very slimy. When I called back the guy said they use chicken tenders in their food. The crab ragoon was ok but I definitely had better.
We have lived in Lake St. Louis for 18 years and have been ordering food from this small business for a very long time. The husband/wife owners are very kind, very efficient and timely in their food preparation and delivery (considering it’s only the two of them), and their food is very good. The only reason why I didn’t score for atmosphere is that we don’t do any inside dining there. We always order food for delivery. Would highly recommend ordering from here and supporting this local small business! We ordered entrees and appetizers for three adults, plus delivery fee and tip, and only spent around $45!!
Ho Wah Chinese Restaurant
Howah used to be the crown jewel of Chinese cuisine within a 50-mile radius—about 20 years ago. Back then, it was the go-to spot for flavorful dishes and consistent quality. Sadly, over time, it fell into decline, with overcooked meals and a building that started to feel neglected. Like many, I stopped going. But recently, I decided to give it another shot—and I’m so glad I did. Walking in, the first thing I noticed was how refreshed the place looked. Whether it’s a renovation or new ownership, something has clearly changed for the better. It felt clean, welcoming, and like a place that once again cares about its customers. As for the food: it was a return to form. I ordered the tangy chicken with fried rice and crab Rangoon. Every bite took me back to the golden years—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The tangy chicken had just the right balance of sweetness and spice, and the crab Rangoon was crispy and creamy without being greasy. I’m happy to say that Howah is back on my rotation. I give it an 8.6 out of 10. Whether it’s a return to their roots or a fresh start under new management, one thing’s clear: they’re doing things right again. Great job, Howah.
Went today for lunch take out didn't receive what I ordered. General chicken smelled and tasted like ketchup ordered chicken fried rice and got some noodles not sure what's happened. Used to love this place. If I could give negative stars i definitely would. Be careful when ordering anything from here. Especially take out
China King
So disappointed.. I never taste chicken gizzards like what I tasted.. bad bad bad On top of that I haven't eaten fast food in years
These people are nothing but thieves. Charges $2.00 extra for paying with card. Returned back to give them cash and get the money back in the account and all they can say is they cannot do refund. Bunch of thieves disguised.

My Son And I, On Some Friday's choice in eating out is Chinese Food and we choose our location. Wonton's being his favorite and Crab Ragoon being mine. Below, his Wontons and Sauce. But both are Delicious. Real Good at this place! Grade, B+
The food was great; we ordered pickup and they were still cooking a few items when I got there, so definitely hot. Next time I would ask for a bit more spice on the general Tso, but tasty and the carryout containers are plastic so things didn't leak everywhere transporting it. They had one tiny table but definitely geared towards take-out orders.
