Charlie Kang's Restaurant
Got some food delivered and it was perfect. I love Korean/Manchurian Chinese food and this place does a pretty good job, made it a very nostalgic meal. Also having an American Chinese option was great for my husband. Can't wait to try the Korean menu next time, for they had an extensive dishes that I have not seen served in other Korean restaurants.
First time and we love it. Service was awesome and the place was very welcoming. Food was great and seemed fresh. Prices are reasonable, portions are big.
Bento Kitchen Cravings
Bulgogi was very tender and delicious. Ramen was the perfect level of spice. Fried tofu Bibimbap was great after adding some hot sauce for a little bit of a kick. The food came out fast and the staff were friendly and helpful. The whole restaurant is very clean! Only complaint is that the tapioca was slightly underdone, but I have had this issue at previous places as well. The milk tea itself was delicious, I highly recommend the horchata!
I haven't been here since the first year that they opened. Pleased to see a steady stream of customers come through for takeout + dining in during our visit. We ordered: Soy Garlic Wings — I was hoping they were Korean Fried, but they were the typical unbattered lightly fried wings. The soy garlic sauce was sweeter than I preferred, but overall, a decent wing. 2 Bento Boxes (Bulgogi + Mongolian Beef) —A great value with an assortment of apps (2 tempura veggies, 1 fried dumpling, 1 spring roll), kimchi, salad, rice + meat. The beef in both of our boxes was tender + well-flavored. I like a spicier, tangier kimchi, but it was still good.
Hong Kong Restaurant
Best Chinese food I’ve had since moving to Mi 3 years ago. Hunan chicken was spicy and flavorful. Crab Rangoon filling was creamy and delicious! Asked and they make their own crab Rangoon. Oh and you must try Mr Leslie’s cheesecake!
This is my first time. I stopped by their location at the Allen St., Food co-op. The food was incredible. I chose Biang Biang Noodles w/ pork. I freaking loved it, and I will be back with friends! Nu was super hospitable and friendly during my visit. She even sat down and explained the origin of my dish. If you’re looking for some authentic Chinese food, definitely a must try!
Ming Dynasty
I decided to try Ming Dynasty after reading many positive reviews both on Google and other websites. The lady taking orders was friendly and spoke good English. There was a lunch special that included a plate with rice and either 1,2, or 3 items. I decided to get double General Tso Chicken and beef and vegetable with fried rice and an egg roll. I also ordered a separate appetizer of crab rangoons. My order was fulfilled very quickly and at a fair price. They do have some tables there, but seating is limited. When I got to eating my food, I thought it was a mixed bag. The General Tso chicken had good flavor but the coating was bad; it was like eating a weird emulsion. The beef and vegetable was mediocre and lacked good flavor. I did enjoy the fried rice but the egg roll tasted like it was frozen and microwaved. The crab rangoons were my favorite part of my order. They had a good texture and a nice cream cheese and crab filling. Overall, I felt as though you got a good value with the amount of food for the money, but the quality was hit or miss. I think that there are definitely better Chinese restaurants in the area. However, I have also had much worse. It may be worth a try if you are picky with what you order, but I will likely choose other places.
Some of the best Chinese food I have ever had! We’ve tried many spots in many areas and Ming Dynasty is definitely our favorite. We go almost weekly and we’ve never been let down, food is always hot and exactly what we ordered and it’s always delicious! The staff is super friendly and the inside is small but it’s cute! Check this place out if you’re in the area!
Asian Taste
We got quite a variety of food for pickup this evening and it's all delicious! Their orange chicken is like none I've ever had before, it has a heat to it but it's amazing! All the veggies cooked perfectly in the noodles and sauces for all dishes were on point. The lady running the phone and orders in front out was very nice , I can't wait to order again.
I just got back with my take-out order of chicken lo mein, and the reviewer who said there was no chicken meat in it, just fried chicken skin, was absolutely correct. I dug all through the styrofoam container and found lots of chicken SKIN, but not a single piece of meat. I remember wondering as I was waiting for my order why the cook was doing so much chopping in the kitchen; now I know. Mine was the only order being prepared, and I now believe he was removing the skin to fry. The noodles, sauce and spring rolls were all very good, but buyer beware. If you eat here, order only veggie items or those containing shrimp. I’m assuming you will get actual shrimp and not the shells or tails.
New China Flavor
NEW OWNERSHIP at New China Flavor on Michigan Avenue on Lansing's Eastside! When I saw a new dim sum menu up on the window, I was so excited I went in and talked to Annie and soon learned that the owners used to run Golden Wok in East Lansing, the one restaurant I've really missed since I returned to the area three years ago. Annie is so welcoming, and the food is EVERYTHING I'd hoped it would be. Eating here felt like returning to a place I used to love. Great place to eat on Lansing's Eastside! *** UPDATE: My family has now eaten there a few times and I still hold the same opinion as that first night. What's more, if you want something made just a little differently than on the menu, they will accommodate!
Our new favorite for Asian cuisine for sure!!! We have tried MANY Chinese restaurants in the Lansing area and this one by far tops them all! When you first walk in it may not look like anything special, however we were pleasantly welcomed with a warm smile from a very friendly woman. She carefully explained the combos to us and the different options you could get. They had more options for sides than most similar restaurants AND included a beverage in the very reasonable price. We asked if it was possible to get our food extra spicy and they happily honored our request, and wanted to make sure they got it just right. The food arrived very quickly and everything tasted extremely fresh and had a great flavor. They didn't skimp on the veggies in mine like some other restaurants do. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything wanted wanted and make sure we were happy with our food. Even the quality of the take out cup surprised me! We will DEFINITELY be returning and ABSOLUTELY recommend everyone try this restaurant!
Panda Express
I don't know what was worse, the metal shaving in the orange chicken or having to argue to get the money refunded. You have cc card system and can refund as easily as you take transactions. Seriously needs customer service lacking is an understatement. "Really, there's nothing we can do" until mentioning health inspector and I get my refund in cash.
Smaller mall location results in a sparser selection. But the orange chicken was still fresh. No self-serve fountain making refills more challenging. But they did have Coke Zero on-tap.
China Garden
I'm very picky about my Chinese food to the extreme. The General Tso chicken was not spicy at all but was still very flavorful and delicious. The white rice was sticky, moist and the perfect consistency. The shrimp egg roll was phenomenal. The lunch special I had received was a decent portion and I have leftovers. Price was fair for the 12 oz soda can I purchased. I'll definitely be coming here in the future. So far this is the only gem I have found on my side of Lansing that offers delicious Chinese food at a good proximity from where I live. I would also like to note that the lady working the front desk was very friendly and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable, vibrant and clean.
First visit. Ordered deep fried tofu with broccoli and wings/fries. Tofu was fried to my liking, sauce was ok, I’ve had better. Not terrible though. Wings were flavorful fries were fries minus the salt. Overall pretty good. Gave a 5 for atmosphere to help the reviews score but there’s not much to it. Go in get your food and head out.no dine in.
Panda House
I ordered from here thru door dash, in my order I had hot & sour soup.. did NOT receive any crispy noodles with it…. I was looking forward to having them with the soup…Extremely disappointed. As frustrating as this is, I will say the food was delicious. Next time please don’t forget the CRISPY NOODLES with soup!
Classic Chinese American food. Pretty cheap, most dishes are deep fried. The scallops are great. The lo mein is alright, chicken can be dry. Almond chicken is 5/5. Orange chicken is 4/5. Egg rolls 2/5. Hot and sour soup 4/5. Service is quick for order in or pick up but I wouldn’t recommend eating inside. It’s easy to get parking. One of my regular spots.
Panda Gourmet
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Panda Gourmet, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers a warm, welcoming ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The modern yet cozy decor creates a relaxed environment perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The menu offers a wide variety of options, featuring a perfect balance of traditional flavors and inventive twists. The dishes are thoughtfully prepared, showcasing fresh ingredients and attention to detail. Each bite was a delightful blend of flavors, leaving a lasting impression. What stood out most was the overall quality of the food. The balance of taste, texture, and presentation was impressive, making the meal truly satisfying. The portions were generous, and everything was prepared with care, highlighting the restaurant's commitment to excellence. The service was equally commendable. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The prices were fair for the quality and portion size, providing excellent value for money. Whether you’re a fan of classic dishes or looking for something a little more adventurous, Panda Gourmet delivers on all fronts. It's a wonderful spot for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality cuisine in a warm and inviting setting. I look forward to returning!
my family and i moved from lansing about 4 or 5 years ago now, yet when we come back up we always stop here for delicious food and amazing service. every time we stop in, they remember me from way back when, they remember my father who used to take me there. sadly my father passed away late 2019, but that never stops us from sharing memories of my father and i dinning here and stopping in to say hi. this place will always be a favorite because of the good food and amazing service they offer here. thank you panda gourmet, for keeping the memory of my father alive and offering tasty and nicely priced food!!
Colala Express
Really affordable and decent portions. My wife wasn't a fan of the orange chicken. It had plenty of sauce which is good but that's where the good stopped on that dish. The combo came with dumplings, which was her favorite part of the meal. The egg rolls had a lot of seasoning maybe a little too much cardamom. The crab rangoon were mild in flavor which is how I personally prefer them. The shrimp fried rice was probably the best part of the meal - great flavor and generous portion. Side note: the soup I ordered wasn't in the bag when I picked it up. That's not really a huge deal because it was only like a dollar which goes back to that affordability The whole meal is $20 for me and my wife. I wouldn't mind stopping by again but I wouldn't go out of my way.
Fresh food made to your order. A short wait time in the colorful restaurant, with complimentary iced tea and coffee offered. The food comes out hot. My first dish here was the House Special Chop Suey. Bok Choy and cabbage in a nicely flavored broth, with plenty generous sized pieces of sauteed chicken, pork and shrimp. Nothing was over cooked. The meat was tender and juicy, the vegetables had a fresh snap to them. Served with steamed rice for $6.95. The fried dumplings are delicious, as is the Szechuan Chicken. All portions are generously sized. We will try something else from the menu soon.
U Like Chinese Restaurant
$13.40 was my total Bourbon chicken lunch special + 2 egg rolls (no drink) Some of the chicken was over cooked and dry. The entire dish was covered in a sweet syrup flavored sauce that was low quality. Reminded me of store brand pancake syrup. Rice is a basic yellow (fried) rice. Pretty bland with what appears to be small pieces of onion and cabbage. I was unable to pickup any flavor other than the syrupy sauce which was off-putting. Egg rolls are a very low grade, even for a hole in the wall Chinese place like this. Chewy, grainy and with an almost synthetic ginger flavor. Dining area was cluttered with boxes and what appeared to be the staff's personal items. The first table was wobbly and all the tops appeared dirty. When my order was ready the staff called me to pick it up instead of serving me. Not a big deal, just not what you'd expect. The tray my food was served on was also dirty with dried bits of food. Staff argued. Bathroom out of order. --- I won't recommend it and I won't return.
The health department need to investigate this place! I bought beef fried rice and BBQ boneless spare ribs and it was terrible! They charged a lot for small and the food ( meat ) was old and spoiled and BBQ source was watered down with barely no taste! The rice and beef smelled spoiled! I will never go there again! I’ve thrown everything in the trash
