Far East Chinese and Thai Food
I ordered the Drunken Noodles, with extra green onions and steamed tofu. The service was quick and friendly, and the steamed tofu was perfectly prepared. However, there were very few pieces of it, and hardly any vegetables. The sauce was extremely sweet and syrupy - not the typical sauce used for this dish. Then, I nearly choked on a rubber band that had apparently been cooked with my food. They asked that I bring it back to the restaurant, and gave me a full refund. They were nice about it, but I decided to leave the review because of the poor quality of the food, and the many other options for Thai food in the nearby area.
I truly hesitate before giving bad reviews because I hate being the reason to deter business away from someone’s livelihood, but as a consumer I would like to spend my money where I enjoy what I paid for. Unfortunately the chicken chop Suey was extremely bland and the chicken tasted a day old. The chicken fried rice was very dry and flavorless as well. The eggroll tasted very weird not like any eggroll I’ve ever had. The noodles in broth didn’t taste like anything but that’s what they call their egg noodle lo mein. The staff is very friendly. Does Sesame chicken sauce was OK but they don’t put enough sauce and the chicken is kind of dry.
Chinatown
I almost didn’t stop here because of the reviews. Boy, that would have been a mistake. The lady taking orders was super friendly. The chicken fried rice and hot and sour soup came out fast, hot and really good. I’ll be back.
I usually always order the Almond Chicken with Shrimp Fried Rice, and it is absolutely DELICIOUS! The chicken is always fresh and moist, with a perfectly crispy and hot batter. The brown gravy is rich and flavorful, and the fried rice is spot-on. The shrimp, although an extra cost, are large, fresh-tasting, and definitely worth the upgrade. The egg rolls are amazing too. Every time I order, the food is ready quickly and served hot. The staff is super friendly, and I'm honestly surprised this place has a lower rating on Google. I’ve tried several other dishes here, like the General Tso’s Chicken and Egg Fu Young, and everything has been fantastic. I’m usually picky about Chinese food and almost skipped over China Town because of the reviews, but I’m so glad I gave it a shot. You won’t be disappointed!
China House
Excellent taste and food portions ,nice lady take my order and help me to order what I was looking for ,thanks for your business
My friend had a seasme chicken meal and it was so good I decided to get my own meal as well. The portions were generous, and the flavors were incredible! I completely understand why people rave about it. I definitely plan to return in the future
China One Chinese Restaurant
A decent Chinese restaurant in the Warren area. Came here with some friends and did carry out. The service was good, very friendly and super fast. You get your own sauces so you always get enough which is nice. The place also has that super small take out only family vibe, super dope. The food is where they stumbled for me. I had the beef in curry sauce and an order of spring rolls. There was very little beef and very little flavor. The curry also said spicy on the menu and was not spicy at all. Even a quart with the entire side of rice it came with wasn't very filling, and I don't eat a ton. The spring rolls were good. Nothing special, but not bad. Also it was $15 for one entree and a spring roll, not the worst value. But not the best. Overall not terrible but I've had a lot of better Chinese in the area.
The ABC(almond boneless chicken) although not really Chinese… and Detroit style was horrible. The sauce(gravy) was a soy sauce thickened blah.. it was served over undercooked vegetables. The “egg roll” was a fried wonton wrapper stuffed with raw shredded cabbage. I understand how ordered what is considered “Detroit style American Chinese” but get with it.. make it edible. Tasted like plastic and the oil had not been changed in the fryer! The picture had the chicken removed
Panda Express
It was pretty slow when I walked into this location of Panda Express and I got greeted fairly quickly. Everything on the table looked pretty fresh and they were making new food as I got there. I got my usual order, which was a plate with fried rice, sweet fire chicken, and black pepper angus steak (does have an up-charge but is worth it). The portions weren't as big as I was used to but the food was still really good. The steak entree was also mostly vegetables, but it was still good. The sweet fire chicken is always amazing. The juicy pineapples really add to the flavor. The rice was fluffy and delicious. I tried the apple pie roll for the first time today. That was pretty good. The outside was crisp and sugary, and the inside was soft and warm. Would obviously be better with fresh apples, but for a fast food place, I was pleasantly surprised. Overall a great experience. Will be back again!
This location was mediocre at best. I eat a lot of Panda Express but the veggies were undercooked and the crab Rangoon was greasy beyond greasy as heck. I opened my car door 4 bites into my food and threw up because the quality of it was like jail food.. I was shook. How is this place open? Get new cooks and learn how to cook noodles proper. Unbelievable.
Panda Express
Great Orange chicken. Service was prompt and friendly. The selection was great. Many good things to choose from. Ample parking and lots of tables . Its in the Oakland mall food court.
I don’t even know how yall got 4 stars tbh. I came through drive thru and I gave the beef and broccoli a try. It was atrocious. It was a bowl full of hard rice soggy broccoli and 3/4 pieces of alone beef. I threw it in the garbage the biggest waste of money of my life. I should’ve known better
China Inn chinese restaurant
Ordered food on Uber Eats app. food was ready fast, generous potions, Egg roll was big. Flavor was below average. Hot sour soup had no flavor, general Tso’s Chicken was bland. No spice. Might try again next time in town, great options with meal. Was excited to see could order LoMein instead of rice with main dish. That was best part of meal and earned 2nd star.
I got the shrimp in lobster sauce combo with some soup. The soup was fantastic, probably some of the better wonton I've ever had. The shrimp and lobster wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad, just a personal preference. The fried rice however, tasted like cigarettes. I'm not making this up, and I tried some of my freinds rice who was there with me, and again, the taste of cigarettes. Not sure why or how, but I thought people should know...
China Wok
I’m only giving it two stars because the mixed steamed vegetables were delicious along with the bourbon chicken. The steak and pepper with bell pepper and onions tasted spoiled. I couldn’t even eat it. I guess this is why they don’t allow you to taste a sample before you buy the food. They lost me as a customer with this but even the bottled coke I bought from them was old, flat and the taste had turned. I was actually afraid that I was going to get sick after eating this. Be careful if you decide to eat here. The line guys are nice and friendly but the person in charge, I’m not certain if he was the manager or owner was very rude and impatient.
I go the pepper steak, and spicy bourbon chicken with vegetable r ice. My wife got all meats sesame chicken, spicy bourbon chicken, and orange chicken. The spicy bourbon tasted old and spoiled and ruined our lunch we threw it in the trash we spent 31.40 that's how bad it was.
Chopstick House
Got another chance to visit 😁, my addiction the Cold Noodles listed on the menu. They really gotta learn how to name they food dishes 😝, this Spicy Peanutbutter Cold Noodles you could sell hundreds more each month. So creamy mild spicy Love 💯😋, even ordered one to take home for next day. Truly the very best Noodles ever Eaten you must try 😄. Got the version of Pupu Platter they have named something else indestructible as most dishes on menu. They never heard of Pupu Platter plated up at many dozen Chinese restaurants around town. The Steak on Skewers real name Balamaki again a hundred Chinese restaurants have on menu they never heard of Duh 🙄. The platter has 2 each Egg Rolls, Jumbo Shrimp, Crab Rangoon, Chicken Wings, Balamaki is made for two folks to share. Outstanding Delicious Wowed, looking forward to more visits soon, or just stop for takeout Spicy Peanutbutter Cold Noodles 😋💯 a double order. #chopstickhouse #spicypeanutnoodles #coldnoodles #pupuplatter #balamaki #crabrangoon #cantonmi #downriverfriendseat
Jenny was our waitress, and she was amazing. She gave us great food recommendations. If you want traditional Chinese dishes that's not Westernized, you'll need to ask for it. Otherwise you'll end up with chicken balls and fried rice with soy sauce.
Bamboo Garden
First time customer. Ordered food for pickup by phone, was told price and estimated time to pickup(15 minutes). Arrived about 17 minutes later to be greeted with my food. Order crab rangoons and general tsos chicken with fried rice. Food was good, nothing out of this world, but the portions to price ratio for what I ordered I would come back and give another dish a try. Crab Rangoons were a little less flaky than one may have experienced at another restaurant but they were nonetheless palatable(possibly a thicker wonton wrapper or maybe ones that had been premade and sat). either way I was hungry and the food tasted good at the time. Located in a shopping mall with Kroger at the southwest corner of Merriman and Cherry Hill. Note it appeared they may not have been seating people for dinner inside when I came to get my food so if you are looking to eat there I may call ahead to confirm if dining inside after a certain time is an option.
Oldish looking inside the restaurant, got to love it though. And the owner is such a great guy. He over charged me last time I came in for a pop and this time when I went in he told me he over charged me and gave me a pop. He didt not have to tell me this happened or anything like that. Goes to show the character of the owner. Food is great always had good food for the most part. Angle the delivery lady is the best as well. Super nice and a great time. All of the staff here are wonderful.
Hollywood Coney Island
This coney is not the best, but not the worse. We grabbed the pita and chicken wing basket. The wait is always about 5-10 minutes in the drive through. Great for late night.
The corned beef sandwich was amazing. Had to use the drive thru since the dining room was closed. That was a little disappointing cause I didn’t want to eat on my car. But it was totally fine once I took my first bite. Delicious. Would recommend.
Red Lobster
We were here for a party and had the best service I’ve had in a long time! The manager Shay and server Kirk did an awesome job for a party of 25+ people. Very accommodating thanks again.
The food was amazing!! Our waitress Ramiyah was on top of everything! What a pleasant experience. Also, Shea the manager came up to us at the end to ask how everything went. We will definitely be coming back to this location.
