Nan King Restaurant
Excellent food. Love it. If you are looking for Chinese Venezuelan food. This is the place! The fried rice, sour and sweet chicken, ribs and the traditional spring rolls are the perfect combo!
The food was AMAZING! I am not sure about the few 1 star reviews of this place, but I would humbly ask that you Ignore them and try it for yourself once and then DO put in an honest review. The service was super-fast and the food came in in under 10 minutes that my brother and I were skeptical that this would taste good just because it looked so appetizing. We were surprised that it was tasted so delish and I’m so glad to say I will definitely be back and this will now be a recurring spot for me. The Ambiance is nice for its style of restaurants and I can bring my wife and my family over here for a good sit down meal. The Beef was tender and flavored perfectly, frankly I was expecting it to be chewy. The Thai Basil Chicken was very fragrant and flavorful too. Please do order the Crab Rangoon, they were spot on. We ordered a little hot oil on the side because we kinda like the extra heat and it worked like a charm. Overall, a hidden gem that one should not miss, because you’ll never know what you’re missing out on. Bon Appetit!
N Thai Palace
Great halal Thai spot! It's pretty fancy and atmospheric so it would be good for a family dinner or date night. The food was delicious, we got the drunken noodles, soup, pineapple fried rice, and orange chicken. Only complaint I had was with the service as we ordered a soup but didn't receive any bowls until asking, and same with the soup sauces, which all should have came out together with the soup. Would highly recommend a visit either way, and hopefully the service will get better.
Have been coming here for many years going back to the much smaller older location. Food remains on point and the service as well. Great variety of Thai and with spice levels that are definitely not bland! My favorites include the very good Pad Thai and the chili cauliflower. Family swears by the green curry and drunken noodles. We all love the pineapple fried rice served in a pineapple and just a great dish. Portions are a good size and they have some bubble teas and other drinks (non-alcoholic although you may byob). Highly recommended and impressed with their continued consistency.
Chopstick III
Returned for dinner after some time and loved everything about our experience-. The service was impeccable. The soup, appetizer and main course were all delicious. Perfect for this cold weather. And the decor of this cozy restaurant is quite inviting.
I have been going here for the last 10+ years, it’s been very consistent and good. Definitely meant for those who adore spicy food. They do not upset! The food does take quite some time to prepare.
China Garden
I ordered fried dumplings and Chicken Fried rice. The texture of the rice is good but the taste is a little blunt. But adding the hot sauce made it good to eat. I guess I forgot to say to make it spicy. But the taste is really good. With the fried dumpling it's still hot by the time we got home. That's good. But I recommend eating in the restaurant or as soon as possible. if you ordered pick-up, just remember that there is a chance that it gets soggy by the time you get home, but the taste was still good. Overall, I like it!
Egg rolls are small and more wrapping then what’s inside of them... wonton soup is bland with little garnish and little meat in the wontons ... tried my favorite general tso’s And it tasted like fried chicken in sweet and sour sauce..... this place is just a ok chicken wing place I would say.... even there fortune cookies sometimes don’t have fortunes in them You don’t get what you pay for and that’s for sure….the second picture was taken 12/09/22 and the eggrolls are even smaller then I originally posted precovid 2 shrimp rolls and chicken wings that I’ve never seen this small cost me 13$…. Now I know why restaurants are going out of business
Cheng's Garden Take Out
I get it 3-4 times a week. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The dishes are delicious and wide range of variety to choose from and very inexpensive and high value food. They always make me feel at home and prepare food the way you like it. Very highly recommended.
I have going here since I moved to the South Brunswick in the early 2000s. Consistently good food, reasonably priced, and kind people. Always a delicious meal -- never disappoints.
Tikka Masala Indian Fusion
This restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience in every aspect. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and warmly welcoming, ensuring we felt at home without being intrusive. The food was truly outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The menu boasts a great variety, and the chef's creativity is evident in every bite. We were particularly impressed by the chef's special, which was a true culinary masterpiece. Overall, this restaurant excels in every category—ambiance, service, and, most importantly, food. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience!
Had an amazing experience at Tikka Masala! The food was incredibly tasty, bursting with North Indian flavors. Compliments to the chef for the delicious dishes. The serving staff were always attentive and friendly, making our meal enjoyable. Special thanks to the owner and manager, Krunal, for personally addressing our needs and ensuring everything was perfect. Best part is that this is a BYOB, so we bring our favorite wine that pairs with Indian food. The restaurant’s great location and welcoming atmosphere make us feel right at home every time we visit. Highly recommend this gem in North Brunswick for anyone craving authentic North Indian cuisine. Can't wait to go back!
Mi Familia
This is a nice restaurant with vibrant decor. The service given is friendly. The food didn’t take long to come out and it was fresh and tasty. The empanadas were full of meat. What I like about this place is you can mix and match tacos as opposed to getting 3 of the same kind which most other Mexican restaurants seem to offer. We will return another time.
We did a quick search on google to find a good Mexican restaurant to have our lunch. Mi Familia came up. I’d say this restaurant is really good and family based restaurant. The ambience is too good and feels like you are in Mexico. Their staffs were kind and service oriented. They have ample of choices, they also have vegetarian options too. If you haven’t been there yet, I’d definitely recommend.
Thai Food Addict
Awesome food. Pad Thai noodles were delicious. Coconut sticky rice is out of the world. Would definitely go there again and recommend.
Wow such a gem! We eat so much Thai food and this is definitely the best in the area. You have to order the pad see ew, such a common order but not at this place, it’s perfectly seasoned not too salty but soooo fragrant !! We ordered take out here at first and the food was so good we had to find time to dine in as well. The satay chicken was tender and not dry, the sauce and the pickle on the side was so different and addicting. Curry and pad Thai also solid choices but pad see ew was 👌🏻. We finished off with a warm dessert, the mango sticky rice and it wasn’t too sweet, super heartwarming and the rice had a nice bite to it with the crispy toppings. Love this place and will be a regular for sure! Miriam our server was sooo nice and was making everyone at the restaurant feel so welcome and cared for. Great food + service ! A++
Coco Asian Cuisine Restaurant
It’s not a fancy restaurant. It offers Chinese, Malaysian, and Thai cuisines. We had massaman curry chicken, coco special tofu, and yam pot chicken. My friend asked for yam pot chicken instead of the yam pot seafood offered on the menu and they agreed. They also changed him the same price as the yam pot seafood. 😉 The massaman curry was a bit too sweet for my taste and my friend didn’t think the seafood of the coco seafood tofu was super fresh. However, the other friend likes his yam pot chicken. The roti canai was delicious
Let me share my thoughts on every dish we ordered at Coco, that’s located on Lincoln Highway in Edison, New Jersey. I could say that the SHRIMP FRIED RICE is definitely cooked the wok-hei method. Giving it a 5/5. The PAD THAI is missing the sour and spicy flavour. I was happy to see it on the menu as it is one of my all time favourites, but it wasn’t as shiok as the other places I had it in the city. Giving it a 3/5. The pork chop was on point. It was deliciously good. Giving it a 5/5. The CRISPY PATA was so crispy and definitely very Filipino. I took home whatever was left so that I could enjoy it better with vinegar, chopped onion, minced garlic, pepper, and red chili dipping sauce! I super enjoyed the BUBUR CHA CHA which is a very famous dessert in Malaysia and Singapore. Try it cold too. Giving it a 5/5. The THAI ICED TEA is expected to be flavourful. Giving it a 5/5. I have lived in Singapore for 15 years and immersed with these cuisines, my palate tells me to give the food overall experience a 5/5. Now, let’s talk about the restaurant staff, they were amazingly friendly and courteous. Definitely a 6/5.
Chai Chenak Restaurant
If you are craving South Asian cuisine, this is a fantastic place. Their main specialty is Pakistani cuisine. Despite being a meat focused cuisine, they have plenty options for vegetarians as well. The food was truly delicious! Service is good too. Food was served at a decent pace. Their interior design is very colorful and lively. Parking is difficult to find. There is paid street parking, but spots are difficult to find.
Loved the ambiance. We ordered dahi puri and chicken rolls for appetizers. Karahi Chicken, beef bihari kebab and also Qeema paratha. Chicken Karahi was good for at least 3-4 people. All was delish. We ended with Falooda which was excellent. Chicken rolls and club sandwiches to take home was perfect for lunch next day … it’s a bit of a drive for me but worth every penny and will go again soon.
Pikalonga Restaurant
If I could give 0 stars I would the worst chimi and yaroa i’ve ever had it was done sloppy and lazy chimi doesn’t even have everything and no sauce for the yaroa its super over priced and I had to wait over 20 minutes for my order even though It was just me and one other person 6 people came in after and their fritura orders were prioritized over mine. The lady taking orders had the audacity to tell me it’s because yaroa takes long no shit it’s definitely not because you had the only person in the back cook my food last. Don’t come here unless you want shitty quality and service.
It was pretty tasty worth it.
Pukhtun Afghan Cuisine
*5/5 Stars - Exceptional Dining Experience!* I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pukhtun Restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way! The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food was simply outstanding! I ordered the family platter for 4, and it was cooked to perfection. The flavors were bold and delicious, and the presentation was impressive. Every bite was a delight. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking exceptional cuisine and service. We can't wait to return! - Food Quality: 5/5 - Service: 5/5 - Value: 5/5
The food portion s and flavors were very good and did justice to the afghan experience. Chic or lamb Adana kebabs and lamb chops were our favorites. Portions are generous. One surprise was the bang bang shrimp. Crispy n just soooo good.
