All good but $17 feels like more. But still good sesame chicken. Tastes good

Typical Chinese takeout spot with subpar food. Recently stumbled Upton this place while getting an ice cream nearby. From the outside, it looked okay, but the food overall was below that of standard Chinese takeout joints. The meat dishes, specifically the Spicy Salt & Pepper Pork Chop and Chicken Wings, were quite disappointing. Both appeared to be made from frozen meats, which resulted in a dry and unappetizing texture. The wings were particularly underwhelming, with brittle bones chopped at awkward angles. Its sharp edges and small bone fragments made it challenging to eat, and I ended up throwing out half of it. The rice dishes, the Beef Fried Rice and the House Special Fried Rice, were also mediocre at best. The rice texture in both dishes seemed off, likely due to the use of undercooked frozen rice, and the flavors were lackluster. Thankfully, some of their other protein dishes like the Egg Foo Young Shrimp and Mapo Tofu were decent. The Egg Foo Young, though not particularly fluffy, was somewhat redeemed by a savory Chinese gravy sauce. While Chow N Joy may suffice for a quick, no-frills Chinese meal, I would recommend going to Zoe’s nearby for a more quality Chinese food.

Convenient late-night Chinese takeout spot with mediocre food. Dumpling Kitchen was one of the first Chinese takeout spots I tried after moving to Boston. Back then, my friends hyped it as their late-night lifesaver, but for me, the dumplings didn’t exactly surprise me. As I explored more of Boston’s late-night Chinese food scene, Dumpling Kitchen quickly dropped off my radar. It’s not the worst option out there, but let’s just say “edible” is doing most of the heavy lifting here. Honestly, some grocery store frozen dumplings might give them a run for their money—and at least those don’t come with the sticker shock of premium prices for thick-skinned dumplings with bland fillings. The classics didn’t do much better. Both the Mongolian Beef and Twice-Cooked Beef skimped on the meat and drowned in overly heavy sauces that muddied the flavors. The only dish that stood out was the shrimp fried rice, which, to be fair, is almost impossible to mess up. In the end, Dumpling Kitchen is a place I’d maybe turn to in a pinch, but not a spot I’d crave. It’s like the friend who’s always there late at night but never leaves you truly satisfied.

DoorDash had this restaurant at a 4.7. Just came to rate them and I can see that they are correctly rated at 3.4! This food is absolutely TASTELESS! It tastes like a paper towel! We ordered the vegetarian lo mein and the beef wok flat noodles. They both taste the same…like a paper towel! So disappointing since we thought that being in the city, we would get good food. Nope! Don’t be fooled by the pictures. They have no flavor.

Pretty decent spot open late. Not sure why the recent reviews are super negative. I did move recently, so maybe it was better before. Picked up during a rainstorm when everything else nearby was closed. Took ~20 minutes for a fried rice and veggie lo mein. I like that they are obviously healthier than a lot of takeout places, even if it means the food isn't as flavorful as it otherwise could be. Brown rice gang 💪🏼

Bland food and gave us the wrong order. It’s pretty hard to mess up fried rice and yet. Ordered wonton soup and it only had 3 wontons in it. Pretty bad. Avoid!

Listen, I always try to give a place two chances. The first time I ordered from here was bad. Not one thing taste good but like I said, I give two chances I ordered today. It was probably the worst Chinese food. I’ve ever ate in my life. if that’s what you wanna call this this food is absolutely disgusting and if you eat here, you have issues Never again.

Asian taste is great. They do Chinese and sushi and do both well! I've only ordered delivery, which arrived quickly and they get the order right. The maki is fresh and well portioned, and holds together well. Very tasty! The Chinese combo plates are excellent and can easily feed 2. The wings are smallish but very flavorful, and the crab Rangoon is crisp and delicious. The fried rice is good but not my favorite- though it is plentiful.

The food is so good I did get sweet and sour chicken but to my surprise it wasn't what I thought it was going to be they give you chicken fingers with pink sauce but in their menu chicken fingers is really chicken tenders that's why I thought I was going to get sweet and sour chicken I usually get that with my rice

Ordered sweet and sour chicken. The rice was decent but they didn’t even bother trying to make sweet and sour chicken it’s just chicken fingers with sauce thrown on top. Lastly their chicken fingers are uncooked, still raw dough inside and Very very greasy. I know Chinese is supposed to be cheap but you gotta at least try.

Price was good. Food was OK considering the price. The customer service was what is expected nothing bad nothing exceptional. We asked for extra sauce and they only referred us to packets at the front. I would not go out of my way to go here, but if you want Chinese and your at this block it's fine.

Definitely one of the best value and solid quality American-Chinese food in the area. Food was steaming hot and delicious with generous portions, and isn’t overly sweet, salty, or oily. I ordered the General Gau Chicken combination, and I leave very satisfied with the quiet, clean environment.

Solid spot for Sichuan takeouts in Medford. Whenever I'm heading back from a weekend trip to the North Shore, I love swinging by this spot for a quick Sichuan takeout. With reasonable prices, solid flavors, and speedy prep, it's my go-to for those days when I just want good food without the fuss. As usual with old-school Sichuan restaurants like this, I kept it classic here—dry-fried chicken, twice-cooked pork, fish fillet, and etc. The default spice level was just right—not too overpowering—and all the flavors were on point. My favorites so far were the house special catfish fillet and the Sichuan-style cold noodles, which come as a nice bonus for online orders over $50. While I won’t go out of my way to come here on a normal day, it’s still a good choice if you are in the mood for something simple and satisfying. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.

The Sichuan cuisine here is very authentic. The couple's lung slices taste great, and the double-cooked pork is also good. Their spicy beef is really good, and those who like spicy food should not miss it.

Got a few dishes for takeout and they were wonderful! String beans were cooked to perfection. The spare ribs were most and delicious.

Love this place. I have been ordering here for over 4 years. They are always fast on delivering and their food delicious. I recommend it to everyone.

Ordered $84. worth of food. They replaced a few items in the poo poo platter. A couple of items were missing. I ordered a side of sweet and sour chicken and didn't get that. I called when I noticed sweet and sour chicken + they said to me on the phone you have an order that looks like chicken fingers and I said yes which is not what I ordered and he said that is our sweet and sour chicken. I told them that's much different from the sweet and sour chicken I got before. But I took that word for it. I ate a chicken finger from the poo poo platter and then I tried one of"sweet and sour" chickens and they were the exact same. In a small order of beef teriyaki came with 2. All of that money wasted. I would've gladly paid for what I actually got. The stuff they actually got right was ok at best. I've been there before and never had to much of a problem, but then again I was only ordering a couple of things. Never going back that's for sure!

No frills, good fast food chinese takeout. Have saved for many late night meals.

The food quality is poor and inconsistent. I ordered beef and broccoli and I got broccoli with very little beef. I was given scraps of beef in a lot of sauce. It was clear this dish was not fresh and had been sitting out for a long time. I ordered egg rolls that were barely filled. This is not the first time that I received fools that was not fresh and over cooked. The food is no longer fresh and the containers are smaller and not filled. I need to find a new Chinese restaurant!!!!

I have given this place a handful of opportunities to see if their food would improve. Last time I order their version of Chicken Pad Thai. Overcooked and very little chicken and some onion. They seem to skimp on any meat, chicken or seafood. Probably my last time to order there. Bland and not worth spending money on in my opinion.
