My family loves Chinese food. We used to go very often to that Chinese restaurant in Granby center as it’s the closest. Having been 5 times too many (to keep giving them chances to not suck) we are now done with Granby and were now more than ready to at least try another nearby option. This place in Southwick was the complete opposite of my last visit to that other place just south of the state border. As we waited for our order, a local guy was also waiting and he only raved about this place. At New King Yen Too you find no frills, just order, pay, pickup your takeout, and go. Friendly enough guy taking the order and the food was exactly what we were hoping for! Delicious, fresh, fantastic portion size and great price. We came in for lunch but for sure this was only the first time of many many times we will go there from now on. I find no fault here at all. Just great value, delicious, not greasy or pretentious Chinese food. Picture of the lunch portion chicken curry. I would have taken pics of the other things we ordered but we ate it all, including the delicious soups that came with the lunch combos! 😂

Tasty option for Chinese food. Check it out!

I was in the mood for hot egg drop soup on a rainy day. Not many Chinese restaurants open on Mondays so no other option. Figured I would go back since I haven’t been in a while. Mistake. Chicken fingers were soggy, no crunch at all and lukewarm. Egg drop soup had odd after taste not sure what it was. Corn starch maybe?🤔 ‘Boneless iribs’ were dry and tasteless. I use quotes because to call them ribs is a huge overstatement. Absolutely no trace of a stickiness or wetness from a sauce. Totally dried out. Definitely not fresh. Don’t usually write reviews and not a picky person but dang the food missed it on all marks. Fried rice was ok - passable. . Won’t be back for sure. Do better! With the rising prices, adding a convenience fee us occasional customers who like to treat themselves will stop doing so altogether. And will be more selective how we spend it.

Updated review December 31 2024 We decided to give North China another try on New Years Eve. They were extremely busy but our food was ready as ordered. The food was much better than the last 3 times we tried it under new owners. It's not the same as it was over the past decade, but not much is in this world. The portions were HUGE! We got our usual sesame chicken, fried rice, chicken fingers, pork and egg rolls. The fried rice was moist and delicious. The fried foods all had a slight fishy after taste probably from the oil but it was all pretty good. They got our order right and it was a great feast for the price. I am glad we gave them another chance and we will be returning. Happy new year 2025 🎉 Updated review May 2023. North China has new owners and new cooks. We have tried it 3 separate times now and everytime it was awful. The sesame chicken tasted like vinegar. The chicken fingers were double fried or overcooked all 3 times. The pork fried rice was dry. The egg rolls and crab won tons were hit or miss. The pork was rubbery and had no flavor. We threw it away this last time. 3 full combination dinners in the trash. A big waste money. We ALL loved getting North China every weekend in my neighborhood but not anymore. What a huge disappointment. We have been eating here for over 10 years. It used to be very busy there but it is quiet and word of mouth has traveled quick in our area. People are very upset with the new owners and quality of the food. Honestly the Chinese food at the Holyoke mall food court is better and that's not a good thing. Awesome Chinese food. Very busy place at times. I get the sesame chicken with chicken fingers, fried rice, and bar b q pork dinner combo frequently. It's a lot of food. Good chicken curry , crab rangoon, house special fried rice , and egg drop/won ton soups. Full bar.

This was all our first time at this restaurant. I wasn't expecting anything special, but in the end, we were all blown away by the quality of the food. To start off, they have a typical Chinese food menu, but every dish tasted premium. Low to no oil, well-cooked vegetables, crispy chicken, perfectly cooked shrimp, and probably some of the best lo mein I've ever had. Soups were all good and the crunchy noodles were the wide, bubbly, oily type that I like. In the end, we kept picking at the leftovers, and more importantly, we didn't feel any stomach issues or ickiness. Great spot.

I had a deeply concerning experience at this restaurant. While waiting for my order, I observed one of the cooks in the kitchen pick their nose twice. To my shock, the cook made direct eye contact with me while doing so and then proceeded to cook without washing their hands. I immediately informed the owner, who apologized and offered to remake my meal. SUCH UNHYGIENIC practices to witness. I declined their offer. Food safety is non-negotiable, and what I observed was unacceptable. Unfortunately, I do not see this disgusting behavior changing. The man had no shame and care in the world to taint another human beings meal.

Spent $315 on wings and other food and they said this was okay because they deep fried it twice. Like I’m super disappointed because I brought the same thing 2 years ago for my son party and other party. Had 2 1/2 tray left and had told the guests to go home recooked before eating

First time ordering and my food got to my doorstep pretty fast the food is good 👍 no complaints

I've been eating here a few times a year for years now. The food is so consistently delicious. I don't even like going to other Chinese restaurants because nobody does lo mein as well as Pearl House. The prices are affordable which is great in this economy. I couldn't give five stars for atmosphere only because there's a couple tables inside that looked like they used to be for eating at and just have boxes on them. It's not a bring your date to kind of place but it is absolutely bring your date home some of this amazing food kind of place.

The best Boness Spare ribs I’ve tried. No grease at all which is wonderful. Definitely recommend! And also, their Lo Mein is amazing 🤩 I usually get mine with no celery and no cabbage but that’s just personal preferences, this people is great

I don’t think I’ve ever made a review before but I felt I had to for this place. I’m from CT and only up in Mass for a job and had the pork lo mein with chicken wing lunch special and can confidently say this is one of the BEST Chinese takeout places I’ve ate at. Extremely clean, very high quality food, and super nice at the front!! Definitely recommend eating here 🙏🏼🖤

This place is a hidden gem! I live in Stafford but make the drive for great food. Chicken teriyaki is the best in the business. Scallion pancakes are perfect! Wouldn't change a thing. 😋 I haven't gotten anything I didn't love from this restaurant. The family that runs it is always friendly and a pleasure. I almost don't want to write a review so my food doesn't take longer to make when I order because it'll be too busy. 🤣

One of the better places that serve Chinese food very well worth it been here before but this time the waiter was not on it, so that’s y I gave a two star for service.

Old school restaurant with incredible food. We moved to CT from MA and tried countless restaurants until we found China House. Drinks are also very good and very affordable. We would highly recommend.

Atmosphere is like walking into a restaurant that is about to close BUT their food is very fresh and tastes great! My girls are picky and they love to get food from here. I like it as well for the freshness of the flavors. Sushi is wonderful as well!

Sushi here is great! Small quaint little place. Love it!

When they make a mistake, the lady who answers the phone argues with you tells you that it was you who made the mistake. They stopped using red chilies. Generals is supposed to be spicy. It isn't but when you ask for it to be extra spicy, she argues with you again saying it's already spicy and refuses to accommodate you. $100 orders each time we get Chinese food has been lost because of her. We go elsewhere now.

I love this place. They need more credit then I feel like they get. Everything I have ever tried from them has been delicious and fresh

LAUGHABLE EXPERIENCE!!! I was shocked to open my shrimp chow mein to find absolutely no noodles, cabbage that looked to be chopped with a wood chipper, maybe 5 shrimp the size of my thumb and thick layer of water. I called confused, and they told me chow mein in a vegetable dish and this is how it is supposed to be. Never in my life have I seen a chow mein like this! It was inedible, I would be appalled if they used more that salt and water while making this. The shrimp was over cooked and poorly cleaned, THE VEIN STILL IN MULTIPLE PIECES (that is shrimp poop, btw) The worst part, they charged extra for this! My egg roll was only cabbage and white rice over cooked. I ended up making some expired noodles I had in my pantry, as it was preferable over this garbage I had been here before and thought I found somewhere decent, but anywhere that thinks it’s okay to charge MONEY for this don’t deserve patronage

Yesterday I got a takeout order beef and broccoli with the pork fried rice lunch special the Chicken fingersappetizer in the pork lo mein small cost me $30 while I got it home let me tell you the beef or broccoli had no gravy. It was dry. the rice was dry And the lo mein it had nothing to it so the only thing that was really good was the Chicken fingers and my Granddaughterget a drink I don’t like writing reviews, but let me tell you the food usually good here but this time it was not good at all

We stopped getting food from here about 5 years ago because of the lack of flavor in the food. Tried again today and although the General Tso chicken was slightly better, the pork fried rice still is flavorless. Many years ago this place was my favorite. Good amount of food and very hot when we got it home. Just missing something.

We recently dined at Mandarin Wilbraham and we had a positive experience. We tried the Pineapple Fried rice and the Chicken Lo Mein. The Pineapple Fried Rice was particularly flavorful, with curry taste .The Chicken Lo Mein was cooked perfectly, We enjoyed dining there. The service was good. Our waiter/waitress were attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance. It's a great place for dinner. Overall, I would recommend Chinese & Japanese Cuisine in Wilbraham, MA

My wife and I have been going here for over a year now. This family run business is very friendly and professional. They are consistent with how they cook their food. We have never been disappointed. I had to leave a review because they deserve it. If you haven't been here before you should try it out. They have great deals, and their lunch specials are only $10. With today's prices of food you can't go wrong with these options they provide. 5/5 star. Well deserved!

A lady served us when we were getting our take out. We think she is the owner as she has her kids with her. She is super friendly and nice to us. We will come back here for sure. The food is so good and people are nice.
