food is very fresh, best service ever! family owned and tastes very authentic. ma po tofu was very soft and nice. chicken pad thai tasted really authentic and good. Chicken with black bean sauce was great, veggies were crispy and fresh, and the chicken was tender. General Tso’s veggie chicken was very good and the chicken tasted good. All in all, Mandarin resturant is a great Mandarin cuisine, I would highly recommend it. $30-50 for four people.

Really good takeout style Chinese food! I got panfried dumplings which came with a very good sweet soy sauce dip, beef lo mein, and hot and sour soup. They also have some handmade (?) bracelets for sale that are really pretty

Wow! What a great experience. My husband and I randomly stumbled across this gem of a restaurant, by accident. The wait was shorter than anticipated and we were greeted with smiles and friendliness. Our server, Cassie was BEYOND amazing! She was super personable and you can tell she loves her job and doesn’t put on a fake face like most servers. She had great recommendations for food options, and she engaged with our table. Kudos to her. We WILL be returning and we’ll forever ask for her as her customer service/hospitality was phenomenal Lastly, the food was amazing. Not one thing was “bad”. Everything had flavor, spice (like I like it), and the food came out fresh! 10/10 recommend

We came here at 6:30 PM on a Friday night. The weight was around 15 minutes for three people. The twice fried Korean chicken was the best thing I’ve ever had in my mouth. The beef Haw Fun was really good too. The staff would really nice would definitely return when I’m in the Bethesda area.

First time here & food did not disappoint! All the food was hot even after coming home from delivery. I recommend the orange chicken & chicken lo-mein

Ordered: Shrimp w/ broccoli (small), 2 chicken wing, Shrimp Lomein (small), Lemonade ($2), Iced Tea ($2) Total cost: $35 Pros: The beverages were great! Cons: Shrimp were unclean (had poop on them), the Lo Mein tasted like it came from a can, the Mumbo sauce was not it! Overall: Nothing about this place makes me want to return. The food is bland, it’s too pricey for “cheap takeout”, and so not worth it!

Service was okay here. The food was delicious I enjoyed each meal offered. There was a wide variety of selection which some aren’t offered at other Chinese restaurants. The atmosphere is okay, it’s very casual and fits large groups of people if needed.

To be honest, this is the best Chinese restaurant in the entire DMV area. I’ve reviewed many Chinese restaurants, but this one stands out as the absolute best. If you're in the vicinity, this place is a must-visit. It exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. The meatball and fish with douban sauce were incredibly delicious. They have a lunch break. So if you visit after 2pm, check before you visit.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and it’s hands-down one of the best spots for Chinese food. Dine-in or takeout, the food is always fresh, and tastes great. The sushi is consistently top-notch, but my absolute favorite dish is the crispy beef – perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of crunch and savory sweetness. Great food and staff—highly recommended!

My son and I just had dinner this evening (4/13/2025) at China Manor in Hampstead, and of course it was another delicious meal. We started with homemade wonton soup and freshly made sweet and sour soup. Then we shared an extra large tray of assorted sushi and sushi rolls. I feel the food here is always well made and definitely good size portions. Friendly knowledgeable staff and how can I not mention Mr Lee the owner, a genuinely kind person to everyone.

OK, I have tried over and over so try it again thinking maybe they had an off day so I was told to add downhill. Disappointed. Needless to say they stopped doing poached eggs or Ramen style. Excuse me I don’t know which is easiest for them to understand. Yes I am pissed paying $30 for egg foo yong and noodles. Sorry no word of advice instead of ordering from this place just called the health department. It will save you a lot of time. this is literally like my fifth time ordering from them. They literally were perfect. then went downhill now they sent fried eggs instead of soft boil🤢

I ordered using the "order now" option on google. 99% of restaurants use the order now option for customers to place pick up orders. I placed my order and the text message told me 25 minutes. I get there in 25 minutes and my food hasn't been started yet. It takes them 10 minutes to make my order. Glad I checked it before I left as it was missing several things I had already paid for. I had to wait another 10 minutes for that to be corrected. They were not busy as one other customer came in the entire time I was there. Inside is underwhelming, visually, to say the least. The lady at the counter seems nice, but doesn't understand very well. Won't be back.

I went here last night and got spring rolls and vegetable lo mein. My food was ready quickly, but it was honestly so bad that I threw it out 😫 the noodles were overcooked and had a weird taste. The spring rolls only had cabbage and nothing else. Not even the chile sauce 💔 super disappointing

Love the Lemon Chicken!! Large portion which means leftovers, yeah!!! Service is good. If you're hungry after eating here, you're doing it wrong!!

Food was excellent and authentic. We ordered the spicy Mala pot, Mapo Tofu, diced pepper chicken Dan Dan noodles, Green Pepper rice noodles. The spices brought out the great flavor of the protein of each dish.

From what I understand this place has been here for over 30+ years and it looks as if it hasn't had any renovations since. Service was fine. The food however is not recommended. We ordered the Crab Rangoon and they had zero flavor. We also ordered the steak and cheese and that too was a disappointment. Needless to say from the outside appearance, find another place to spend your money!

I’m only not giving here a perfect score because they went with smaller chicken wings I love this place I’m 40 been coming here all my life I don’t even live there anymore and I still make time all those who feel some type of way definitely go somewhere else but this spot has been good to our little neighborhood and they continue to do business there for that loyalty alone especially with these YN’s now there they have my respect always will

Food was awesome 👏🏽 I give it a 10 out of 10 fried crab Rangoon was so good egg rolls were tasty and filling also the sauces for the rolls and Rangoon on point!!!! I also got the combination lo mein with a veggie lo mein ALSO on point. My boyfriend wanted chicken shrimp fried rice and was on POINT beers are all affordable and cocktails under $10. Services 10 out or 10 and he was super fast very nice 👍 place is cute and up to date! Loved it as a first time experience. #firsttimer

Our usual place was closed so we decided to try this one out. Pros: the staff was nice and prompt. The crab wontons were delicious, the general chicken was tasty (the couple bites we had). Cons: the rest of the food was just ok. It wasn’t the worst but it wasn’t the best. We ended up returning the food. As we started eating we noticed multiple hairs in our chicken and lo mien. We had only gotten a few bites in so we called and asked if we could return the food for a refund. At that point we weren’t going to eat the food. They allowed us to do that with no issues.

The Young Chow Fried Rice with pork, chicken and beef tastes GREAT ! Had them make it spicy 🌶, plus ➕️ I add duck sauce. Good fried noodles 🍜 appetizer also. Good eating right here I promise you (Ms May is always our waitress),

The restaurant area is very small, order takeout. But my order was ready up on arrival and checkout was smooth. The sesame chicken has great flavor and was not drowned out by too much sauce. The fried rice was also good and filling. The cheesesteak egg rolls are awesome, you should definitely try one! I will definitely come back to try more offerings, great food, good portions, simple process.

2-10-25 😔 I ordered 3 🦐 and 🥦 lunch specials wich are $8.25 a piece... and some how my total was almost $29 dollars. when I said something to him he tried to recalculate on the calculator like couldn't count 😫BS . I've purchased this meal before from him. I told him to keep it just know you lost a customer and have a nice day ... so if you go here pay close attention to your 💵 💵 💵 over charge ❤️
