New China Restaurant
Hollywood East Cafe
I ordered the Mongolian beef for take out and was SO disappointed. Basically just sautéed onions for $18. I still have 3 stars because the wonton soup was good. My husband liked his chicken and mixed vegetables.
The owner and staff are so nice! We had a large group(12) around their big table. Everyone wanted something different, including gluten free and vegetarian options. EVERYONE enjoyed and explored new food. It was a great and adorable meal in a snowy Sunday
Good Harvest (Chuan Tian Xia)
I had a great dining experience at this Sichuan restaurant! We ordered the Poached Beef with Hot Tofu & Chili Oil and the Chongqing Spicy Chicken. Both dishes were flavorful without being overwhelming, and the spice level could be adjusted to suit our preference. The dining area was clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. The service was attentive and friendly. With a diverse menu offering plenty of delicious options, this is definitely a perfect spot for group gatherings. Highly recommend.
My husband and I have been here a couple of times now and the food we’ve tried never disappoints! Everything is delicious and for dishes that we thought were a bit too pricey, their generous portion definitely makes up for it! We especially love the fish dishes here. Great service too. One of our favorite spots whenever we’re in the area!
China Taste, MD
The food itself was delicious. We got the Sezchuan Noodle Soup. The handmade noodles are very chewy, they gave us plenty of beef, and the spicy flavor was very good. The lady offered us water cups for the spice. My only complaint is the use of completely disposable utensils, from the chopsticks to the bowl to the cup.
They are using old menu(before Covid). Menu are same but $2-3 more per item. (Jan.2025) Fast service Resonable price Good taste
Full Key
Authentic family-style Cantonese food in the DMV area serving up all the classic dishes. The service was prompt and the waiters speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin! I recommend trying the BBQ meats. My favorite was the chicken - it was super flavorful, moist, and tender! The beef chow fun (乾炒牛河) had good wok hay and was well-seasoned. Can't go wrong with the sweet and sour pork either. Very crispy and moist pork! Only small nitpick - the gai lan was a little too crunchy/tough for my preference.
I like thier food isn't too sweet as like typically Chinese restaurant and menu is quite variety and more selection. Inside dine-in room seem a little bit small because of there are a lot of tables but atmosphere and decoration are nice. Service is friendly. Price and portion are reasonable. PS. Another good thing, Full Key restaurant closed hour is quite late, great for people who is looking for late dinner.
Super Eastern
The ordering was original. When she answered with a heavy accent I knew it would be good! I ordered the large shrimp with garlic sauce. Food was ready when I got there although the lady behind the counter was distracted by her lunch, it took a few before someone pointed me out. Veggies are fresh, shrimp fresh, sauce is saucing, rice is good. I actually like the food. Could have a bit more rice but other than that, kiss the chef 😘👍🏾👍🏾 Edit: I don’t know why they think they can talk about us in our face 🤦🏾♀️. I can understand a little so…
Tried this place for the first time about a year ago. The first several times I ordered from there, it was delicious! I thought I had finally found my go-to local Chinese takeout spot. However, I've tried them again twice in the past few months and the food was not near as good. It was stale. I guess I'll go back to Panda Express... At least they're bringing out fresh food all the time. Disappointed.
Johnny's Sub Shop
1st and last time there! I bought a hoagie sandwich. When I ate it, I thought it had a strange taste, but didn’t think anything of it. I kept feeling light headed the next day, but I had done a lot of walking and hadn’t yet eaten. When I went to eat the other half , that's when I noticed the bologna was rotten! This place should be closed down!
This is the only place I eat steak and cheese from! It’s very good and delicious! I also recommend the orange chicken.
New Paul Kee Restaurant
Food is very authentic. Better than some places I’ve had in Chinatown, New York. Not too salty and nicely seasoned. Service is simple- very attentive- and the place is clean. Definitely will come back!
I went to this restaurant twice a week. My family very likes it. The roast duck, beef chow fun, spicy salt pepper shrimp, clams with black beans sauce, pork intestines with sour cabbage are the best in town.
Panda wok
I love this Chinese food place. Amazing egg rolls and really good chicken wings 10/10. The portions and prices are set good. The food is always hot! When ordering delivery especially on Uber eats or DoorDash the majority of the time your food will be cold, but their food is always hot!
I ordered, delivery, 10 piece lemon pepper wings they were so salty I could not even finish one! I also ordered my kids 5 piece regular chicken wings because they are big. I called and the lady told me to bring the food back, keep in mind I tipped the driver well but I wasn’t willing to pay for him to come pick up the rancid salty chicken. The lady kept screaming at me that’s the way they seasoned the lemon pepper wings. I love lemon pepper wings I have eaten them from many restaurants, this was the first time I order them from here. Customer service was definitely lacking. The wings had spoiled is my guess and they tried to cover it up with salt because after there was a lingering smell of rancid chicken. I was never offered a refund, apologies just told over and over to bring back the chicken. I ordered from this take out Saturday and I also had to throw out the chicken lomien. Something definitely needs to be checked out in their kitchen! Do I hear food inspectors…They are closed Tuesday so I promised her I would take her back her salty I mean lemon pepper wings on Wednesday! 😂
House of Hunan
I haven't dined in at House of Hunan in years- we usually order out. It's the only Chinese place in town that we can patronize because of my husband's allergies and cross contamination of seafood. They must keep things pretty clean and separated when requested because we've never had an issue. The important part: my husband and I went today and were impressed by the service, presentation, and taste of the food. It really was a lovely experience and we're excited to go back!
My granddaughter and I went last week. We had a lovely lunch together. I had the sesame chicken and she had the orange chicken. The lunch special not only was it inexpensive. It was very good. Actually I took enough home. I had enough for my dinner.
Panda City Carryout Chinese and american food
The Chicken fried rice was absolutely amazing. I tested the chicken and the onions. Even though there was soy sauce in the bag, I used only one! So, the beef egg rolls were delicious. I should have taken a picture before I dove right into it, but it definitely was devoured. There was a Pepsi included.
Great food and great flavor! I ordered the 3-piece wings and fries, and everything was cooked perfectly. The chicken was crispy, well-seasoned, and delicious. The fries were fresh and just right. Definitely one of the best carryout spots around—I’ll be coming back for more!
Peking House Restaurant
I arrived at the restaurant at 6:28 PM and was seated by 6:29 PM. Right off the bat, I noticed leftover food on the menu, which wasn't a great start. The staff on duty included one waiter, one waitress, one sushi maker, and one cashier. I saw someone who came in before me get their order taken at 6:31 PM, so I knew I'd be waiting a bit. My drink order wasn't taken until 6:43 PM. It arrived quickly at 6:44 PM, and I placed my food order then. The waitress mentioned she was busy, which I could tell. The fried wontons came out at 6:50 PM, but they were super dry and tasteless. I had to drink a lot of Dr Pepper just to get them down. Finally, my main food arrived at 7:07 PM. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience. I ordered the Peking Duck, which should be the main dish for this place. It was not thinly sliced, in which I need it to be, to be placed into the sheets to dip. The skin was not crispy, and I had to get drink more soda to drain it down. This place can be a success it they had more help, as well as ensuring that the systems that they use could move faster service as well as having a consistent food quality.
First time here and it won't be our last. We got the family style meals that included egg roll and soup with the entrees and the egg rolls and soup were some of the best I've ever had. The broth was rich and the dumplings were perfectly cooked. The egg rolls and crab and cheese wonton were also very good. We had General Tso and Garlic Pork. Both tasty and delicious with nice cuts of meat and plenty of fresh veggies. We will definitely return again soon to try the sushi!
